Could I use one of these to connect 1 keyboard to 2 computers?
Could I use one of these to connect 1 keyboard to 2 computers?
i imagine yes, but you'll send key strokes to both of the computers, so you're fucked out of CTRL+W and similar shortcuts
No. I think no. The USB is master-slave system and slave keyboard cannot have two masters, this would mix up packets and system for both. One master can have two keyboards though.
KVM switch
Nope. You need a k/m switch.
no, those y-cables are only wired for additional power
one of the male connectors is power-only
the idea is that you plug a high-power device into the female connector, and you can draw additional power by having two power connectors
neo-Sup Forums
Yes
Use synergy
Would be pretty useful to transfer huge amount of data.
>Select files on computer 1
>Ctrl+C
>Ctrl+V
>Cancel on computer 1
>Enjoy the files on computer 2
How fast does a keyboard even transfer files? Why didn't anybody think of this before?
USB can't do that (Type C might iirc), FireWire could but it's deprecated
Dude what the hell
Well, there could probably be a combination keyboard/zip disquette that connects to one computer at a time and also stores files.
No.
:^)
>plug mouse into one computer
>copy
>put mouse into other computer
>paste
Lmao
...
No, just RDP if you want a quick fix
ebin
Sure but you can only plug in one of the male ends at a time, otherwise you'll send the same input to both computers. I could only see this being useful for more efficient shitposting. The reverse with two female ports would be good to connect a mouse and keyboard to a single port (think Raspberry Pi).
I did this because I'm too lazy to unplug my 360 controller and hook it up to my PC
