At first they promised a 40% gain in IPC. But actually delivered 50%.
As an Intel user I'm appalled by these tactics. Because of their promise I went and bought an inferior and overpriced product instead of waiting on Zen.
I suggest we all band together in a lawsuit against AMD for these deceptive market practices.

No one in their right mind would buy Intel now that Ryzen is out. You get the same performance and also some bonus cores on the side. It's a disaster all right, but not from the point of view you implied.
