They're $100 for Cisco 3750Es which are stackable. It works out to $50 per 10GbE port for a layer 3 switch. People here spend plenty of money on GPUs, cases and faggy LED RAM, $50 per 10GbE network port isnt unreasonable.

That's gonna need more than just faster ethernet. Even with RAID 10 you'll have problems saturating 10 GBit/s.
