I want a lineal guide about learning how to program c++, where can i find it?

What are some good alternatives to Gmail?

Is there a good tutorial out there to learn how to do diagrammatic modeling in LaTeX?

Or should I just give up and use yed and import the diagram I make to LaTeX?

Is it worth it to also/instead learn how to make graphs and shit in LaTeX?

ProtonMail by far.

So i'm starting to get left behind on the mobile phone game.

Right now I have a BlackBerry Q10. It's a fantastic phone for texting, email and business. it's still pretty damn fast too. However the small screen is starting to annoy me. Also hardly any apps exist for it. I know I can sideload Android apps. The thing is that some of them work well and others don't. So I'd rather just upgrade to a phone where the apps are native.

This is where I'm not sure what to do. I've had Android phones before and they're okay. But i've always wondered what it would be like to have an iPhone. I've never owned an Apple product in my entire life and I've never been bothered by it. But a lot of my friends use iMessage and I feel so left out by not being able to use it too.

TL;DR: Should I upgrade to an Android phone or an iPhone? If Android, which one?

I like Zoho mail. Plus it has a lot of cloud stuff like Gmail does.

I've been thinking of downgrading to a blackberry for the keyboard since I email and txt and call, that's all, on the phone.

...

Trying to install a .deb package, but says some packages need to be updated, how do I accomplish this?
Also for future reference, is there a way to run this package installer while including a command to just automatically update or download any dependencies?

I'd possibly look into the Passport if you do. It has a great screen, much better hardware and will last much longer. My Q10 is good and small. Maybe the keyboard is better in the sense that it is all physical but the Passport lets you use the keyboard as a trackpad. Plus you can get 'em new for $250-300 USD.

Actually just stumbled into that thread. Thanks, user.

I got a $70 gift card for the Dell website that expires a week later. What should I buy?

Is there anything you need?

You can always use more storage.

That's a good idea. If he doesnt need it inside the PC, he can use it as an external backup drive.

Sleep tight rato

What is the realistic scope for a phone app developed by a single person?

what things may be beyond single manpower?

Is there a way to hide websites from finding out that I am running adblock? Seems every website wants me to disable adblock to see their articles and whatnot. I have to essentially go into incognito mode to view their website.

no script maybe?

Use ublock origin on firefox.

I already have a hard drive and was just thinking of getting a charger for my laptop

what. does. the. app. do

connect with other phones via bluetooth and some video recording.

can you transfer files between 2 PC's with a particular wired soliton? like usb or ethernet

yes but ethernet needs to be crossover if you dont use a router.
USB could work.

learncpp.com

>ethernet
Yes.
>usb
Not directly, only with a usb flash drive or something. You might have noticed that there aren't really any usb cables that you could plug into 2 PCs.

>needs to be crossover
Not with a NIC made in the past 20 years.

Posted about this in last thread

Wont connect to my houses router.
I've tried
>turning wifi on and off
>fresh windows install
>it has connected to my phones Hotspot and worked
>turning the router off and on
>manually connecting
>different security types
>shifting on my hand and Smearing it on my walls
>updating drive and uninstalling and reinstalling it
>trying a different WiFi adapter

I have an Asus z270e motherboard

Any ideas? Super frustrating with my new motherboard and build

>ethernet
>Yes.

can this work with any ethernet compatible device though? like phones and such

I notice that modern graphics cards are starting to come with ridiculous amounts of vram.

Theoretically speaking, is it possible that an entire application could simply be loaded into VRAM and ran on the GPU? Like, an entire game? Would there be any benefit to this if so? I know most of them support compute shit these days, but those mostly seem to compliment traditional applications and just crunch big numbers.

What if I stole cable wirelessly?
Most people get caught because they just split the line and run it into their place. That's how they get caught. But get this... split the line, but instead of running it to your apartment, hook some sort of short range transmitter to it and then hook a reciever up to your TV.

Does this technology exist?

Is there any entity that could immediately shut down the entire internet?

if you're still there, can you elaborate?
i'm not seeing any links in the picker for either the header or the body.

Install Gentoo

a wireless access point?

>ethernet phone

More like, could an idiot buy it and hook it up?

More than their should be, sadly.

I'm sure you could transfer the knowledge of a youtube video into it

Should I worry much about mobo's ssd support list? Other than m.2 size, can you even buy something incompatible these days?

>entire internet
>that
no

me

I would like to be able to automate interactions with web pages, for example:
Be notified if a web page has changed, be able to grab/type some text from/in a certain field, be able to press buttons, etc

I know some C and Python but i have never done stuff with webpages, i have no idea of how that works, what should i look into?

yeah?

trump-sama

In theory yes, cuda is turing complete I think. It wouldn't be beneficial performance wise, CPUs are created and optimized to play video games well and have been for the last 25+ years.

Also, modern GPUs aren't really GPUs, you shouldn't think of them as extension cards. A GPU these days is basically an entire computer inside a computer, with its own OS and shit.

that is actually for a phone?

doubt that would let you transfer files desu. and you would still need a crossover cable for direct PC/device transfer, in which case you could just fucking connect it with USB... or you need a router to transfer over the Ethernet

why dont you explain more exactly what you want to do, im pretty sure you're making shit more complicated than they are or you're being a retard.

are there any mouse guide infographic things?

you know how when you save a thread, the reply links dont work?
is there a way to save a thread and still have them working

Is HTTPS enough to stop ISPs from knowing what specific pages I go to?
I don't care who knows that I go to porn sites, I just don't want them to know WHAT I look at

not even close, you tard. go learn what HTTPS does.

Generally, yes. Keep in mind that porn sites know what exactly you look at and that they don't care about your privacy either.

no, it's mostly used for logins and shit, it doesnt hide where you go.

I don't know, is talking in spanish good enough to stop your phone carrier from knowing what phone numbers you're dialing?

HTTPS will stop them from knowing the content of the communications, but the only way to stop them from knowing who you're talking to is to use a VPN or the like. HTTPS isn't even really necessary to thwart the ISPs from intercepting your communications (although it's a good idea to thwart other groups...), it's illegal to snoop on the contents of packets just like it's illegal for your phone carrier to listen in on your calls.

not im america any more, they can sell your browsing history

how JavaScript works, and GET & POST requests
maybe start by simply downloading the webpageand trying to parse the html

I'd recommend python for this

Do you even know what https is? It can be used for anything, you're most likely browsing Sup Forums via https right now. It will not hide your or the websites IP, it will in most cases not hide the hostname. It will hide all content including the URL path.

...are you an idiot? Browsing history means they can sell a list of what websites you've visited. That's like your phone carrier selling a list of what numbers you dialed. It's still illegal to snoop on the contents of a packet.

You're also wrong in saying "any more". The regulation that was going to prevent selling browsing history wasn't even going to go into effect until next year - all congress did was abort that regulation. So nothing's changed from the way that it's been since day 1 of the internet. Stop falling for fake news.

thanks brochacho

doesnt stop the NSA from doing it. the fact is they're making illegal shit legal and none of you faggots are realizing they are not stopping anywhere anytime soon

>He honestly, genuinely believes that his ISP isn't spying on him

If I have one of those meme ultra-small high-capacity (128GB) USB sticks that heat up like an australian winter under heavy loads, will the heat negatively impact the drive?

I honestly don't care about burning my fingers or whatever, but if it starts fucking up the lifetime or data integrity of the drive then that would be a problem.

if i steal wifi from my neighbor, my isp can know im using that conection? Or im going to be anonymous as fuck?

I want to shift NTFS partition. What's the best way to do it (as in with the highest chance of success)?

Last time I tried to move it with GParted, it failed and Windows was recovering the files for a few hours and they were corrupted anyway (it's partition for programs only so it didn't hurt that much apart from having to install shit again).

if you're stealing wifi you're not even connected to YOUR ISP, you're connected thru your neighbor's ISP...

Sleep tight, rato

Throw me some recommendations for an 802.11ac wireless adapter

New to Android. How do I un-botnet my phone?

I'm having an annoying issue with my TP Link USB wifi adapter (WN722N). I keep on having to go through this cycle:
>internet works fine for a while
>leave computer on for a while without using it
>internet disconnects for a few seconds, comes back, disconnects again, etc.
>have to reinstall drivers, change USB port (I have no idea if this actually does anything) and restart the PC
>works fine until I leave for the day and the problem starts again
I haven't had a problem with the internet on anything else I own, and my other USB stuff is working fine, so I'm not sure what's causing this issue.

is it really that hard to search "smartphone" in the catalog?

I'm trying to learn C++, but I keep having issues with my compiler. I've been working with Codeblocks and MinGW for like a month with no issues, then I get a message that a DLL can't be found. So I hunt through the internet and find it's some issue with my PATH variable or some part of MinGW. I check the path and it looks normal I suppose, then I go to my MinGW directory and there's nothign there anymore, the whole MinGW directory is gone. This is at least the second time some error with MinGW has halted my C++ coding adventures, and it's starting to piss me off. Is there some kind of occult ritual I need to do to appease the MinGW gods so I can program in peace?

I don't do anything super exciting with my computer anymore: I shitpost on Sup Forums, do schoolwork and try to learn C++. I can't figure out what causes weird shit like this. Is there a better compiler setup that doesn't do crazy shit like this?

it's not the best solution, but have you tried just unplugging it and re-plugging it into the same USB port? Is it maybe a power setting where your computer goes to sleep and turns the port off or something?

lets say its the same ISP, they can see my MAC address or something? they can connect back to me? I mean, im not a facebook user, also im not going to log in my own mail or w/e servive i use.

i guess but why the fuck do you care if you're using someone else's Wifi?

Anyone have any tutorials, information or downloadables on phone hacking and things correlating with how to find out specifics on entities hacking ones phone. Im looking for the most intensive information possible.

TL;DR

Phone hacking and reverse engineering.

Just wanted to know if is safer to browse the web from another wifi than yours in terms of privacy.

learn to search you fucking retard

no, the opposite. you have no control over what they do with the router.

how to debloat windows 10?

I had this same issue last year, i think i ultimately just uninstalled and reinstalled cause downloading the dll that was missing and putting it in the right folder wasnt doig shit

install arch.

Yeah, either the adapter just doesn't work until I restart, or I get a bluescreen. I'll try again right now though.
Also worth mentioning that I have turned off USB selective suspend and whatever setting allows windows to turn usb stuff off to save power, but it hasn't worked at all.

Can confirm it bluescreened again, it also seems only my front panel USB 3 ports seem to temporarily fix the issue. I guess I'll try older drivers next time it disconnects.

They should really implement user names so certain anons can be blocked.

just go back to liddit where you belong

For my backup drive... Should I encrypt the whole drive then do backups to it, or should I do encrypted incremental backups to it?

Is there a difference?

>android firefox
>clear private data
>clear downloads thinking downloads history would be back to a clean looking zero
>downloads folder suddenly empties
>dl an image
>clear downloads again
>its gone
Why the fuck does Firefox Android do this? I don't think the desktop version does it, and Chrome doesn't do it. They have an option to delete downloads history instead, right? Did this piece of shit really just delete some of my work, porn, and pictures?

Yeah, what's up with that?

Anyone? No?

I need to combine two different internet connections in one.

I already have a router that support dual wan and load balancing, but it don't have enough ports, so I need to use a switch after the router. (pic A)
Will this be ok?
Or I need to buy a new router with more ports that support load balancing? (Pic B)

So I have a Lenovo Y40
It's a few years old
I take pretty shitty care of it
I sent it in for repairs last year when the screen stopped working
It's pretty much the same thing now
It's like there is no brightness on the screen
If I shine a flashlight on it I can sort of see what's there, but otherwise I can't see a thing
It suffered physical damage both times
Is there a way I can fix this?

backlights fucked or something. ifixit.com

Ublock origin with default and Reek filters enabled.

FOSS desktop program to send me a desktop notification/sound at a certain time?

>Contact the display manufacturer.
guess sending it in for repairs is the way to go

or just replace the display you tard....

What's the best android tablet I can buy for £150?
Can be second hand

Will root it and put a fresh install of Lineage OS on it

Brother's FX-6350 can't keep up with the GTX 1050 Ti. Will an FX-8320E still bottleneck it?

Between the GTX 1060 and the RX 480, what's the best option for budget 1080p gaming? I'm fine with dialing some options down to mantain a stable framerate

any way to use specific cookies when in private browsing mode? I'm trying to keep my Sup Forums settings but also use incognito.
