How in the fuck can i mess with this shit

greetings /g

I was looking through some old shit and I found, what i can only assume to be an electric motor of sorts. the only problem is that I wasn't able to figure out how to wire it or what the fuck to do with it. So I left it sitting for a while. Any helpful input is appreciated .

Make a pc case out if it

are you czech slav user?

if you count romanian as part slav, then i guess

it ain't that big

That's a bomb you fucking idiot. Throw it innawoods and never look back.

What day is it user.

i am, 100% sure, it is not a bomb. i would've been dead by now. it's been around my house for, my guess would be, more than 20 years

what kind of fucked up thumb is thay?

slavic edition

don't you talk shit about my thumb, it's been with me for as long as i remember. very helpful thing

That's part of a uranium enricher
Enjoy your cancer

Its a fuse.

you sure? cuz it looks kind of like a motor. that red disk thingy spins

>wasn't able to figure out how to wire it

what about those two big-ass screws next to the flanges? how about you unscrew them a bit, wire it up to some DC and see what happens?

is it AC or DC?

I thought about that. Thing is I wanted someone else's opinion, since I'm not that good with these things.

The tag says 3600 rpm, so it's a Motor, i can assume that pojistka is positive and you have to find the negative pole.
Connect a psu (look at the tag for info) and your are done

I'll have to make/get a psu, since I don't have one. but I will try it when i get the time

I have an old computer, I thought I can use the psu from that, I think i saw a vid on yt of a dude making it

that looks like motor-dynamo. It basically has a 12V motor inside which powers a 145V dynamo. Back then it was the only way of DC-DC conversion. Old trams and DC powered trains used shit like these, except those things were 200kg heavy and outputted 24V 120A

I would make a thermal cup out of it then.

Anyway before using it, of i were in you, i will take it apart and see the inside to undeestand how it works

It has an RPM on it, but no frequency. Sounds like a DC motor to me.
Does it have any other stickers? Can we see the terminals? What's on the bottom?

It's not a fuse, why would a fuse have fuses in it

Pojistka means fuse. The big screws are fuse holders, with a 0.08A fuse in the left one and a 0.2A fuse in the right one

it very much could be. there is a big cement factory in my city. and a lot of people, including my father and grandpa worked there. so it probably was from there

i got pics of this side too

I think its a transformer for mobile radio equipment. I have an American one around here somewhere. It runs off a automotive battery.

You are right

Nah, with the new pic I think that is more probably right.
Connectors look broken off though. You can prob. use it to convert 11.5V to 145V if it still runs.
Could be for radio equipment, could be for something else. Doesn't look military to me.

wrap wires around the two big screws, screw them in to hold down the wires, and hook it up to a nine volt battery, then get a bigger battery if that doesn't work or cut an extension cord and plug it in.

Probably won't work if those fuses are bad btw, this is a mid-century vibrator motor.

should the fuses be connected together in series?

also, i should use the 9volt because of it outputting dc?

april fools

i just made all that shit up

except for the vibrator part, it might really be a vibrator and will shake violently when you turn it on.

will ensure to put it on my ballsack when i turn it on

this is a 3-phase motor connected in Y-mode.
9 volt battery? gtfoh

so, it being 3-phase, i would assume sticking it in the plug like a retard won't work

No, those wouldn't have terminals labeled '+'.
Also it's not designed for driving anything, since there isn't any way to mount it stationary.

actually, it does have some supports, they were mounted by screws.

There are mount holes you blind nigger. it's missing the mount.

It goes in a vibrating chair or some industrial equipment.

The red plate thing has an off center weight distribution.

It's not big enouoght to be your moms vibrator, sorry kid.

Maybe it's a fuse? I pulled this fuse out of some decommissioned equipment at the BMEWS radar when I was stationed in Greenland. It weights ~20lbs.

i dont think it's a fuse, since it has the rpm written on it and the red thing spins.

hes back

That's what she said.

How are you out in the sunlight? I thought that was fatal to your kind.

that looks pretty cool. Maybe even from an aircraft. Pretty useless though

>slav
Give it back Jamal.

i had to sacrifice myself for the pics

>he doesn't use spinning fuses
the wheel is connected to an interior capacitor and spins to dissipate excess power so it doesn't overload

...

yea, pull the psu out, then;
turn on the psu: short (connect) green and black (any black), must remain connected to stay on
5v: black + red
12v: black + yellow
3.3v: black + orange
5v standby: black + purple (powered when the psu is off)

Go buy an RC plane propeller and use it to cool your PC.

saved. thanks for the info. I've been looking into this

concrete vibrator part

Thumb looks like an dick bro.

probably used them to make those prefab commie blocks

that's actually very likely, a lot of the houses around have been built from that cancerous asbestos powder.
look man, my thumb suffered some abuse a long time ago, that's why I can bend it pretty far

What kind of abuse?

a lot of pushing of metal parts into a drill bit attached to a lathe. I also caught it once in it. It was very purple.

No abuse-related thing, bro. Genetic thing called hitchhiker's thumb. I can bend mine backwards pretty much 90° and always have been able to.

thumb bros confirmed

It's not a motor, it's a mechanical voltage converter (I dunno what you call them in english, it's like a transformer but mechanical instead of purely electromagnetic) taken from an old communist military radio.

To elaborate, I think it's supposed to convert car battery 11.5V DC into 145V DC used to power a military radio. Somehow.
And it requires a 400V power source to make the motor inside spin to power the mechanical converter. Probably.
Honestly I have no idea how exactly this fucking thing works, just donate it to a museum.

It's a mechanical high-voltage converter and in a very good condition. You might get some bucks out of this.

That was funny.
Over a year ago so I wonder how far they dug.
