What is happening in France? What French Sup Forums can tell me?

civil war because the French don't want to work more than 35h per week

Labour law ==> anarcho-leftard monkeys are angry ==> they try to mess with cops ==> "war" between them and based cops

Basically this

Crony capitalism masking as meritocratic democratic socialism is tricking lefties into thinking that fighting for a 35-hour workweek and the inability to be fired is actually good for them and doesn't just benefit middle-class people who generally have access to such comfy jobs. Actual poor people in France (of which there are plenty) are stuck doing shit jobs or menial labor or being on the dole in miserable ghettos because all of the other jobs are extremely safe sinecures occupied by lazy, unambitious middle-class dickwads.

You agree ?

In Brazil, according to the law , are 44 hours per week . But does not work well , many markets operate 60 hours per week of employees. No trade I know, follows the labor law .

Most of them are protesting because of the part that will allow bosses to fire their employes more easily

Serious question: since benefits for unemployed people are generous, why do people care about this? It seems to me that, if there is a safety net, people should be easily fired if they aren't good employees.

Preventing bad employees from being fired just creates an entrenched class of lazy people who won't give up their positions, leading to high youth unemployment and unjustly preventing ambitious people from joining the workforce.

I work in academia, so I'm speaking from personal experience.

? I stand with the cops, desu. I don't really care about their laws

leftards are mad that a leftie government is trying to pull a labor law, antifas used the opportunity to attack cops. For once the sandniggers are doing "nothing"

Have you ever considered that unemployment in France right now is worse than it has ever been? It's a neccessary law reform, but a horribly timed one. Had unemployment been 5% or something, shit would probably fly easier.

While you're right about the risk of an entrenched class of lazy workers, you could also look at the other extreme: young starters aren't given a fair chance on the job market because even if they are hired, they might be fired the moment they get enough experience and expertise to become expensive and be replaced by another inexpensive rookie. Either that or put on a zero hour contract that makes them unemployed in all but name.

ok , just said Brazilian law for comparison. Thanks for answering

What about existing

I can't explain in english but what you say is wrong

i really don't 2bh

Recently they tried to invit an antifrench commercial rapper to make a concert for the 100 years commemoration of the battle of Verdun.

people started to protest and fortunately that was cancelled, but now the brainwashed youth thinks it was a racist protestation because this crappy rapper is black.

most people on this country gives me cancer.

It's mostly bad employees and lazy fucks who're rioting right now. I think very little of the workers on strike know what the law actually is about.
One of the important points of the law is also that the major worker unions would now be forced to let smaller unions negotiate with the bosses, so major unions are also encouraging everyone to go on strike because the law doesn't follow their own personal interests.

>antifrench
Ça t'arrangerait bien.

the labour law, while pretty bad for a socialist government is not the only thing people are mad about: it's the whole 5 years of Hollande presidency that consisted in doing almost exactly what he was elected against

not smaller unions, the workers themselves. Be real, we all know how workers/employers dialogues work

Try it in French, I might be able to decipher it. Lifelong exposure to weed makes all of us trilingual.

Work comes from growth (croissance), not laws

You guys have weed croissants?

>You guys have weed croissants?
Não entendi a referencia dele

True, but as long as France is in the EU there will be very little growth. Labor reforms treat the symptoms rather than the disease: the disease that is the common currency union.

What exactly are you implying?
French unions are also doing an extremely shitty job compared to other european countries. I'll be glad if those idiots are forced to let possibly more competent people actually discuss with their employers

The USA have been doing that for several centuries and the result is less benefits for everyone and a lot of jobs with even shittier pay. Letting rich industrialists in charge is an awful way to improve the general situation

Unemployment is high in France because the available jobs are occupied by people who are just there to pick up their paycheck and can't be fired for doing poorly. Because people are never fired and have no reason to quit, they just keep taking up a spot in the labor force that would otherwise go to a young or more competent person. Employers are afraid to hire new people, even temporarily or for experimental positions, because they know that as soon as they do, they are stuck with them.

Sounds pretty typical.

Does France have mandatory retirement, like the UK? Seems like that would fix some of the problems with people just collecting a paycheck (which is undoubtedly higher than just retirement benefits) for as long as they like.

I am willing to bet that there are plenty of age 60+ people in France who are still in the workforce because they enjoy their guaranteed paychecks more than they would retirement benefits.

i'm saying if the workers have to deal with their employer for work condition and can't rely on "conventions collectives" anymore, nothing prevents the employer from doing whatever he wants
not saying the french unions are perfect

Ouais ouais t'a raison, faut encourager cette jeunesse de merde et les saloperies pour attardés qu'ils admirent dans les médias sinon on est anti-français aussi.

>The USA have been doing that for several centuries and the result is less benefits for everyone and a lot of jobs with even shittier pay
We have less benefits but our pay is much higher than yours. We also have lower employment, precisely because even incompetent, lazy, potheads can get a job, risk-free to the employer, cleaning floors or flipping burgers

Poverty in the US is much more linked to different educational opportunities than it is to our economic system. Education in the US is highly decentralized, so even people living in the same city can have extremely different educational experiences and huge disparities in quality
