which flavor is the best flavor?
or is vanilla the best flavor?
Which flavor is the best flavor?
or is vanilla the best flavor?
Xubuntu for Windows-like simplicity, MATE for a more traditional Linux desktop. Everything else is bloated or unnecessary.
Any that don't use unity and fit your use case is a valid choice.
Ubuntu Server , fits all my pleb needs
shut up retarded stupid bitch
Install gentoo
where's mint?
Salty Mint boy
mint sucks
y-you too....
openSUSE
Arch GNU/Linux
mini.iso
Ubuntu sucks and is normie trash. Xfce is the only thing that makes it slightly tolerable.
I unironically enjoy unity, so vanilla.
Oh, there is a Budgie spin?
Pick one, they're all shit either way
UBUNTU BUDGIE!?!! GONNA DOWNLOAD THAT SHIZ NOW
Linux Mint Cinnamon Edition 18.1 'Serena'
Lubuntu, is a no frills, rock solid flavor
Peppermint OS 7
There is no other choice
>Ubuntu Budgie
>not Bubuntu
This will never not trigger me
I like these kind of images
What if unity fits my use case? Is. There any other environment that integrates window menu in its title bar and the title bar to the status panel to save vertical space by two lines? Even tilers use at least one line of vertical space more than unity, if there is a single window, if there's more windows - even more vertical space is wasted.

this
bubuntu sounds idiotic
then again so does lubuntu and kubuntu
>unironically going for Ubuntu Kevin
Ubuntu GNOME
>DPI, smooth, just werks
>ootb experience on 2 in 1 pc's
Xubuntu
>I barely need a DE
Ubuntu Mate
>snowflake
Ubuntu Budgie
>special snowflake
Ubuntu Kylin
>booming economy
>bad drivers
Kubuntu
>so I see you're using gnome
>an executive running linux
Ubuntu GNOME
>babbys first DE, cannot customize without 3rd party tools
Xubuntu
>true that
Ubuntu MATE
>Good ol' GNOME2, for advanced Sup Forumsentooman only
Ubuntu Budgie
>fuck off Kevin
Ubuntu Kylin
>Chinkbuntu
Kubuntu
>KDE is like GNOME3 except that it breaks by looking at it, do not use
None of the above.
The objectively best "flavor" is the netinstaller.
budgie
>KDE is like GNOME3 except that it breaks by looking at it, do not use
I'm on 17.04 for a week, only had kwin crash once - when changing the theme, and it was a weird one out - the rest of the time changing the workspace theme worked fine
I'd say it's perfectly usable
Ubuntu Server with i3.
Lubuntu is good for less bloated systems. The ubuntu support is longer though.
Running Ubuntu budgie right now. So far the only Ubuntu experience I've had that didn't make me want to an hero
Ubuntu Unity is the best.
Ubuntu MATE has screen tearing and visual glitches by default, but it's good overall after you enable the compositor and install drivers.
Linux Lite > Xubuntu
LXLE > Lubuntu
KDE Neon > Kubuntu
If you want to use GNOME, Fedora is much better than anything debian based.
If you want to use Budgie, Solus is better.
So a conclusion is that Ubuntu flavours are a meme.
Lubuntu when LXQT finally hits
Until then, Xubuntu
Linux Mint Cinnamon > Ubuntu MATE > Xubuntu > Lubuntu
i've used Kubuntu and Unity and wouldn't recommend either. Unity is just too macfaggy, and Kubuntu is full of bugs and shitty
Edubuntu.
I like the games; they make me feel smart.
what are the issues with Unity? not defending just curious. Heard it's gotten a bit better but there are so many shills on Sup Forums its hard to tell
>when the slopes get their own ubuntu
When is LXQT coming out? Been hearing a lot of hype, starting to sound like vapourware at this point
You mean "Arch Linux". As far as I know, the Debian team are the only ones who include "GNU/Linux" as part of the distro name.
I already have LXQT installed on my laptop. Honestly it's nothing special. It's literally just LXDE with QT compiled binaries.
Oh ok, is there anything that makes it stand out from the others?
Not really (although I've only been using it for less than 24 hours).
Ubuntu Budgie
Budgie or Solus?
standard linux innovation then
Xfce with deskbar uses horizontal space which you have too much of on modern screens. Horizontal bars are retarded in most cases.
Why is Kubuntu still a thing?
KDE Neon is way better.
/thread
install gentoo you fucking retard
never install gentoo, it's a pile of shit
This. I believe the main difference is KDE Neon getting KDE updates sooner (by default) while Kubuntu has some pre-installed software and is a ready to go system.
