So, why is the 1700X slower in Doom and RoTR than the 1600?

I'm guessing the 1600 might be able to squeek a few more mhz or it's misleading and is a 1600x and a 1700x at stock clocks

Because they're too lazy to go back and do their benchmarks for the 1700X again with the same platform improvements. I've seen a couple of R5 reviews now and they've just slapped R7 launch day benchmarks alongside the new ones.

They reached 3.9GHz on the 1600, the same as the 1700X. You shouldn't expect higher overclocks from the hex cores. They're still using the exact same design, just with one core disabled in each CCX, something which is not going to make much difference.

and now we know why AMD held back the

6 and 4 core versions

old benchmarks

>game benchmarks
>for a CPU

slightly bigger l3=> less latency
also1600 is just 3.6-3.7 at stock
1600 3.6-4.1 at stock

1600x looking better and better

>elchapuzasinformatico.com/2017/04/amd-ryzen-5-1600-review/3/

>2400MHz memory. S

Should have used at least 2667MHz or 3000MHz.

There's no reason not to use 3200MHz stuff apart from not wanting to buy a new kit. Any of the newer Samsung B-die or Hynix MFR 3200MHz+ kits run just fine at that speed on Ryzen. It's older, dual-rank Hynix kits that are the problem.

You know you bought a poo tier processor when the first reviews launched are spanish

You know when you buy a slightly obscure product and try to find information on it but all the youtube videos are by mexicans, just like that

You're right I'd rather be playing cinebench

blame MSI Titanium most expensive board and barely works
ironically their B350 boards support 3200

Looks like Nvidia's shiity DX12 API is gimping results to me. Vega can't come soon enough.

those are some awful inconsistent benchmarks

awful set up, bad testing methodology, it makes no sense for R5 to perform better than R7

>It's Nvidias fault
>It's intels fault
>It's Microsofts fault
>It's the motherboard manufactures fault
>Just wait
>They'll deliver
>Just wait
>Just

my thoughts are that it has 25% less cores. so less heat and you can feed it a little more voltage.
1600x does 4.1 on XFR, that's higher than some 1800x go at all.
well they are mexicans. its also possible there's not much scaling past 6 cores?

why are these subhumans using commas for decimals?

Makes perfect sense. It has exactly 20% more L3.

you mean, per core?

Even with their poor testing methodology Ryzen is still performing close to the 6700k on 3200MHz ram. Really makes you think.

Red team:
Consumer 6 core out next week
rebrandeon a week after
APU soon
vega this year
Ryzen 2 next year

Blue and green:
Pascal refresh this year
Coffee lake pushed to 2018
Volta pushed to 2018
>Just Waitâ„¢ indeed

>1600x does 4.1 on XFR, that's higher than some 1800x go at all

No it isn't. The 1800X also does 4.1GHz via XFR. They have the exact same boost speeds, and it's not on all cores for either. The 1600X won't be hitting 4.1GHz+ on all cores as an average overclock either, guaranteed.

>gimped version of the flop release a month ago
>rebranded 480
>shit nobody cares about
>just wait
>just wait

Blue and green
>everything that will sell like hotcakes and still surpass AMD despite being multiple year old refreshes
that's kinda sad

>everything that will sell like hotcakes and still surpass AMD despite being multiple year old refreshes
that's kinda sad

You've just given the reason why. Intel and Nvidia fanboys like you eat up that shit even if it's underwhelming. Even if AMD released a CPU/GPU twice as fast as the competitions offerings you'd probably still eat it up.

>Company stock falls below 13 bucks
>Fuck shit shit fuck just release everything

No the 1080 was literally a maxwell refresh and it still stomps everything AMD has
Pascal refresh will do the same, so will skylake refresh, again
AMD just takes too long to only deliver on performance we had two years ago

It's all on the roadmap.

>company stock holding steady at $30+
>fuck them shit fucks, release skylake again

>In DX11

(You)

Enjoy NetBurst 2.0 goy

wasn't DX12 supposed to increase performance?

>nvidia in charge of drivers

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WELCOME TO TODAYS EPISODE OF "WHOSE FAULT IS IT TODAY"

So today we have multiple people to deflect blame to, Microsoft, Nvidia, Intel
Whose it gonna be, Player one?

Player one- I'l go with Nvidia

why does amd's drivers work better for dx12 with ryzen opposed to a more powerful nvidia GPU

>correlation equals causation
>welcome to 3rd grade
>next time it will be Microsoft fault
>or intel
>maybe the motherboard manufacturer
>maybe someone else I dunno we'll figure it out fuck you Jack In the Box

...

This. It's not nvdia's fault that Ryzen is a fucking failure.

you haven't answered the question, its simple scientific process using a control (the amd gpu)

>ryzen
>failure
(((opinion))) disregarded

youtube.com/watch?v=L4K7eIEAJx0

Even if your hyperbolic reaction warranted it, you can clearly see that DX12 struggles on both Intel and AMD CPUs and only part in common is GPU.

Who else is there to blame for bad DX12 behaviour?

This autism response outed you as a shill

stop shilling your own videos here you faggot

THIS.

AMD is and always will be the budged option. And as such its way to overpriced considering its offering such low performance compared to its competitors.

Nvidia has relied specially optimized game by game DX11 driver hacks held together with duct tape and jensen's hair gel for the past 5 years. Their hardware isn't capable of DX12 because it was never designed for such an API. It can't leverage any of the benefits that DX12 brings to the table.

>clickbait video
Ryzen 5 may not outperform 7600k's on launch but they will be relevant for many years after the 7600k is left in the dust. He's also referencing Ryzen tests done with 2400 MHz RAM which, as we know, is not going to hold up as faster RAM speeds become possible.

Kill yourself, shill

Future proof build sounds like AMD CPU with AMD GPU.

that's not the point though, this isn't about ryzen

on the intel setup, DX12 clearly performs significantly worse than DX11 as well

nvidia completely dropped the ball with DX12

R7 walking intels current hex/octa lineup while
not doing bad against 7700K at gaming at lower utilization
One shoddy 3rd world fake benchmark and we know the performance across the line.
>it's shit and a trbl value (plz buy blue goyim)
this is Sup Forums now.

well, it's unified , so yes, it's 20% more either way

>this is Sup Forums now
In reality
>New faceless company to blame every day for Ryzens short comings
>Fucking windows scheduler man
>Stupid reviewers are shills
>it'll be patched don't worry
>Just wait for Ryzen 2
>Just wait for vega
>INTEL BTFO GOY GOY GOY XD
>"I prefer gaming performance becuase that's mainly what I do"
>SHILL SHILL WHAT ARE YOU 12 RYZEN GAMING PERFORMANCE IS PERFECT
>shows debunked joker benchmark again
>LIKE WHAT YOU DON'T USE CINEBENCH ALL DAY AND WATCH 7ZIP ARCHIVES WHAT ARE YOU GAY
>OY VEY XD JEWS AM I RIGHT
>LETS IGNORE THE 480 REBRAND THOUGH DEF NOT JEW TACTICS

Putting way too much effort in, buddy. Shitposting is a art.

(You), Ramesh.

>Post examples of what Sup Forums does
>You're just shitposting
exactly

shitposting? this is so true Spandau Ballet are writing a song about it

Yet AMD is the one with the indian

>hehe goyim hehe jews

yeah thank god amd is base...

youtube.com/watch?v=qyD_Q8RZh_M

ah never mind.

Said indian worked in ATi since the dawn of ages so who cares.

>its ok when nvidia and intel do it

>Ignores when AMD does it
>Point out that AMD does it
>B-But nvidia

amd doing it is pointless because intel and nvidia did it, you singling out amd makes you sound like a shill

Different person bud

400 rebrand is bringing higher clocks and better vrm on 580 at lower prices +faster ram on 570 and more spu for 560.

You know what Nvidia is releasing later this year? 11xx or 20xx (whatever they end up calling it it) which is just a pascal refresh.

What do you think our chances are they will release these faster cards for cheaper than the current ones?

>ignore that the 11 or 20 will be faster than the current line up
>ignore that the 580 is also a polaris refresh
>ignore the fact that it will still BTFO all of AMDs lineup again
yeah they should totally release it at a lower price

>guaranteed

The fucking thing hasn't even been released. Shekels deposited.
