The first two points imply that attacks only happen in shitty areas or situations. The third contradicts that because the gun carrying piece of shit user could be going anywhere. The fourth is then ironic because such contradiction about how to identify dangerous circumstances is bound to make someone feel paranoid.

I'm proud of having a safe society where a weapon for self defense is odd, since one is extremely unlikely to need to use it for good.

Also I don't trust other people, it is nicer if they're allowed to have less means for hurting others. I wouldn't mind having a gun myself but I'd rather not have the drunkard next door own, let alone carry, one. As I've been diagnosed with a few mental health problems, many people would probably also prefer me not having a gun.

No, they don't. They imply that carrying a weapon every day for a really unlikely attack is either paranoia or being a piece of shit. Preparing for really unlikely scenarios is odd, user, if the preparation requires effort like carrying a pretty heavy device with you all the time.
