It's relaxing and doesn't stand out, unlike lounge.
> not listening to infowars stream while you program
normie
Metal is good overall for programming because it lacks melody or lyrics to distract you. You would get the same effect from listening to 8 hours of a woman screaming or just loud static white noise.
I prefer videogame music for programming. It's designed to keep you intensely focused while at the same time energetic.

Not just any doom metal, but (old) Opeth in specific is the best programming music.
Having listened to dopesmoker over a hundred times according to last.fm (which I haven't even used in years) I can say that doom is great because in general there's not much distracting. Just awesome fucking riffs to keep your mind going - waiting on the next riff. You'll find yourself typing to the rhythm but not distracted by it.
I find Earth and Om are also very good musics to listen to while programming.
Opeth is not doom you cuck, occasional doomish sounds does not doom make.
>he doesn't program to loud orgasming noises
my nigga
Because its not quite fridgecore drone metal (yeah, dopesmoker is drone but not full Sunn) and has those sweet Sabbath inspired riffs. Stoner metal is awesome, even though the list of actual good bands can be counted on one hand.
You listen to ///Maytag's latest album?
No, but the cover made me kek
Doom is just good productivity music.
ITT good if entry level music
Kek, everyone I've met who works at Google listens to weird ass music.
this, nothing better than doing shit on warcraft 2 music
What is your favorite doom/stoner album
Not that guy but Satan Worshipping Doom by bongripper is good, even if it is still somewhat entry level.
Try doom 4's soundtrack. And amazing album on its own and very fast paced.
This is true. I cannot even hear my own thoughts if I listen to something like this through headphones.

Just gonna leave this here

Love you guys
DUDE WEED CARAVAN ACROSS JERUSALEM LMAO
Great song tho
That music was boring and only simple-minded would enjoy it. Here's something in a similar style that is better to listen and program to
youtube.com
Disgusting.
I listened to nothing but truckfighters while working last week.
>Only the simple minded would like it
*tips back*
>can't reach his back
ayyy
Person whos never listened to metal before but would like to try here. Anyone have a youtube playlist or something for me to listen to while I work on my project? I need way more than a single song
dopesmoker should be enough to get you through some small projects
Listen to dopesmoker and dopethrone
That'll get you into doom
metal is a genre for manchilds and losers. if you haven't gotten into it until now, consider yourself lucky
Not all though, death metal like entombed, melodeth like at the gates, tech death and certain thrash is quite distracting and has rhythm
>being a SJW faggot "coder"
Because you're a fucking manchild who thinks that dude weed lmao band is actually good.
shitty bait
the sword is much bueno
The art is 10/10.
Is the album any good?
This came across my Pandora one day and I think I liked it.
>tfw no /ptg/
Yes, all of their albums are very good.
>Pandora
Just use spotify grandpa it's free
>melodic muh fantasyfag trash
So your seminal music experience was guitar hero 3 I guess.
this
>he is doesn't know
The Sword was in Guitar Hero?
weak bait
Solo acoustic guitar is the best music for programming.
youtube.com
>axe
This one is better
>The Sword
mah fuckin niggas
>not listening to esoteric bulgarian chants from the high middleages
youtube.com
The sword bad for programming due to too upfront vocals, and anyway I like the band Graveyard better than the Sword
>not listening to prog rock

Fuck yeah. The Sword has some awesome shit. The White Sea is almost impossible to beat, as is The Chronomancer II: Nemesis
Dude don't group me with them. Truckfighters have some nice doomy tracks.

Actually, deep house is best for programming: it makes me focus and gets me into that programming mental state.
Post examples please
Sup Forums has such a shit taste in metal.
If you want something nice to listen to then check out khemmis or summoning.

I know you are but what am I?
I've never seen a jap use "sasuga" negatively. It's either to congratulate or to say "still". Meanwhile Westerners literally only use it negatively as part of sarcasm. Suspicious.
>not listening to deathcore or slam while programming
baka
Industrial metal is great
Guitar Hero 2, yeah
>metal
>not beepity bopity synth music
it's like you don't even want to hack time
real nerds listen to metal
>he doesn't listen to ASMR while programming
You take that back.
I listen to synth and techno, and I'm a nerd through and through.
Powermetal is good too though, but it's distracting when I'm trying to work.
>I'm a nerd through and through
please provide the following information:
distro
package count
pc specs
How does that convert to just werks currency?
James Blake is the only option.
>Not listening to game soundtracks and classical like a normal human being
>OP trying to get the maximum amount of (you)s
Start with Sabbath then follow doom and stoner metal. Ignore atmoshit.
Sleep's Holy Mountain is much more accessible than Dopesmoker, so listen to that first if you want to get into Sleep.
>t. Third wave post rock enthusiast
this is also great for coding and general productivity
buckthead is GOAT for programming
Ur modarfuker.
What prog bands do you listen to?
Cheya
What do you think you'd like?
