what does Sup Forums use to encrypt their hard drives and flash-drives

>implying they aren't automatically encrypted by firevault

Bitlocker

Free/Libreshitters BTFO

Sup Forums what the fuck do you have on your storage that you feel requires encryption?

Physical lock.

Nothing because i'm not a pedo.

Hello world and fizzbuzz

VeraCrypt

Even if you have just some family photos, why would you want to make it too easy for some Russian guy to view them?

With today's tech there are no downsides to encryption.

>Even if you have just some family photos
Confirmed for incest child pornography.

LUKS. I keep my keyfiles on a separate encrypted filesystem. That partition's keyfile is the un-padded ciphertext result of a random (non-standard sized) section of /dev/sr0. Retail DVD. Nobody can access my truly private data except me.

Good that my shit is encrypted, eh?

Your turn CIA.

this is a beautiful photo

women were women
and the future was going to make the world a better place

Why do you even have locks on your doors? Why do you even have curtains for your windows? What are you hiding user?

The bits that make up your images include trojans made by the FBI.
Expect a knock on the door.

Luks

>Why do you even have locks on your doors?
>Why do you even have curtains for your windows?
So nobody can see my tiny dick while jerking it.
Fortunately I don't have tiny dicks on my storage so I have nothing to hide.
Are you storing tiny dicks, user?

how would full disk encryption help with that? while you're using the computer, the drive is already decrypted.

Veracrypt. Keep all my financial info and plaintext file of every username and password for every single service I've ever signed up for.

The encrypted container backed up in triplicate of course.

>He doesn't keep scans of all government issued ID safe
>He doesn't keep scans of his paystubs safe
>He doesn't keep a collection of alternate first and last names
>He doesn't keep a list of GPS coordinates for hidden cash
>He doesn't keep a library of symmetric and asymmetric encryption keys
all I can say is "lol" my man.

sum_primes_less_than_2_million.py

why would I encrypt my hdd I don't give a fuck
>fuck the popo

has nothing to do with being a pedo senpai

thanks for the only real answer senpai

This image is way too orange.

Veracrypt or LUKS. Only acceptable answers.

dm-crypt

Same. VeraCrypt is the best solution out there in terms of power-user features, security and cross-platform capabilities.

Bitlocker: Secret NSA Backdoor Edition

The NSA thanks you for your data donation.

I dare you to dump the contents of your porn directory to facebook. Without encryption, someone else might do it for you.

Morning Sup Forums full of verashills. Veracrypt is more vulnerable then the last audited version of Truecrypt, 7.1a. Vera stole truecrypt code and modified it so much they added vulnerabilities. 7.1a showed no security vulnerabilities and only minor issues.

thanks for giving solid advice in the sea of shitters

Fork != Stole dumbass

thank

LUKS, for the most part. Tend to do file level (openssl does an amazing number of things) for removable media. Of course, the key there is to choose secure options, because both will happily let you use horribly old or vulnerable encryption systems. If you just go with the nist recommendations, you'll be ok.
