The correct answer is taking off your tinfoil hat and using chrome, since the only criticism is muh botnet You can even use ungoogled chromium, which is FOSS like chromium but with every bit of phoning home removed.
Jack Bell
I use chrome on my chromebook. But my tinfoil hat stays on.
Hudson Rivera
> t. google shill
Asher Ramirez
Actually switched to Opera recently and it's okay. Use the VPN on desktop if only to further muddy up my data, despite the fact that it's basically just a Chinese-owned proxy
Jack Torres
I don't get what people even mean by it anymore when they talk about tinfoil hats. Like, it's documented reality that data is collected. So at this point "take off your tinfoil hat" is the equivalent of "just let them collect the stuff". No
William Perry
>FOSS project that takes code from google without giving anything back is shilling google I bet you did vote for trump, that would explain a lot.
James Barnes
I just tried Brave earlier today, and I have to admit, it's pretty nice. It isn't done yet, it still needs work, but compared to all the other nu-broswers, Brave is the only one with actual potential. Tab previews are great, noscript, adblock and https everywhere are built in, sane defaults, lots of search engines to choose from (including startpage and searx by default)
I know the name Brave is retarded, and also the reason I never tried it before, but give it a chance, it's pretty decent.
Jack Morris
And Opera is what i use on a daily basis. But it's not perfect. That's why i created this post.
Ian Bell
>using a browser made by ad company kek, it's like you hate privacy.
Carter Barnes
Brave is a good name and it is also pretty good, but the problem are the extensions
Kevin Nguyen
Google and Mozilla. >not ad companies try again
Caleb Sanders
So what's the best web browser?
John Martinez
There is no.
Elijah Martinez
Extensions are coming, Just wait for that big update when they will get introduced in a handy way.
Currently you can use extensions the more manual way.
Fair enough I guess, but the only extensions I need are already built in so that's a non issue for me. And I do hate the name Brave, they should really rethink that. You might as well call it Pretentious.
Also, if there is any extensions you would like to see, check this list.
Aiden Ross
im using brave browser and uninstalled chrome completely. i no longer need it.
Connor Cox

And if your install is slow its probably because you have too many weeaboo addons.
Parker Young
I hope that brave gets good updates. It's already perfect for my phone. But PC needs a bit polishing
Joshua Nguyen
Use Yandex. It's the best choice
Mason Cox
It really needs a dark theme as well.
Logan Anderson

Owen Flores
Yeah and what's your solution for a non ad company browser?
Logan Edwards
Try reading the thread numbnuts.
Jason Williams
There isn't a great browser anymore, only when Pale Moon was relevant was there a great browser.
Latest Opera is pretty comfy though and better a Chunk botnet than a Western one (if living in the west)
Carson Cooper
how is mozilla an ad company? I can sort of see why you would think brave is an ad company, given they provide an opt in alternative to ads, but what did mozilla do?
Parker Williams
Implement Pocket and use the Startpage as ad magnet
Luis Harris
Been using Vivaldi since the first public build, I love it.
Connor Rivera
Doesn't really work well with dual monitor. If you drag a tab, then it creates a new browser instance
Gabriel Green
I don't use pocket myself, but it is not an ad service. And the ads on the start page is for donations. A lot of sites have a donate link on their site, it hardly makes them an ad company.
Noah King
>inspects saved links >promotes things "you might be interested in" >not an ad service
Adam Diaz
Elaborate your position, or I'm going to assume you're a nazi who hates that they don't want to exterminate the jews.
Jacob Fisher
I think the botnet meme needs to stop. As long as there is a well established company behind the web-browser, you can't expect it to be 100 % none-botnet environment. This is 2017. Welcome to the modern world. The internet is not hidden anymore.
I like Google-Chrome because it's the overall fastest web-browser on the market also I need my extensions. Google are probably one of the more trustworthy companies out there. I don't understand why so many people hate Google.
Opera is a very good browser in terms of features and functionality. Which is quite admirable, almost like linux in the desktop-world. It also can use Google extensions. Which make Opera my second favorite web-browser if not my favorite.
Firefox is very cool, but it have become slow during the last years. Most people want speed including myself.
Jordan Williams
pocket does that? There isn't much information out there about it, so I guess anything is possible. but why does it matter? you can just not use it.
Grayson Lewis

Joseph Bennett
Please speak in full sentences. I have no idea what you are talking about.
A lot of companies profit from the genocide of humanity, sure, but I refuse to accept it as "the modern world". I don't want to associate with these "well established" terrorists you claim as your gods. You may be fine with selling out other humans as you never did anything of worth with your own humanity. You think google is trustworthy, why? What have they ever done that inspires trust? How much can they possibly pay you to make you trust them?
Hudson Watson

20/10 you are my idol for today

Angel Rivera
i don't make the rules buddy Google doesn't optimize their software to run on garbage
John Hill
Maybe you should try to be more thankful for what big companies gives away for free (when it comes to money) instead of being paranoid. It's quite shocking when you use a term like terrorists to people working their ass off, writing code and make pretty good products. So much disrespect makes me sick. Real terrorists torture and kill innocent people.
Yes, I appriciate free-community too, not just private companies. But doesn't mean private companies like Google are pure evil.
It's true that people should be sceptical to companies. Not even Google is perfect, but at least they are big and therefore can't get away with everything, people and the law are watching, at least as much as they can do.
They don't pay me anything. But as for any company, they need something back from the users, normally ads or something else. That's just how the world works today. You can either accept it or you don't.
Zachary Johnson
>Google are probably one of the more trustworthy companies out there.
Dylan Russell
a company as big as google can afford to hire all top talent and be forced by their dick CEO and even dicker stock holders to increase their shekels profits by using dirty unethical tricks to make even more money and to kill competition by buying off the competition and using legal tricks to crash them before they can threaten their dominion
google has too much power and that leads to abusive business behavior
Andrew Thompson
That's true. I agree it's sad. Thankfully we have at least open-source and community amongs developers.
Also, often big companies implements ideas from community and small companies into their own projects. So in the end, people with no power makes a difference. That's good. But abusive business behaviour and too much power leads to many downsides.
This is some of the reason why mainstream or/and the most expensive things are not necessarily the best. For example, Windows or Apple. I use and enjoy Linux.
Joshua Hall
Lynx. >No botnet >No JavaScript >Plucky underdogs >Fast >Comfy >Is the ultimate meme All other browsers a shit.

That doesn't change the fact you are shilling an advertisement company. Why would you do that? brown skin? caste system ?
Jaxson Gray
ungoogled chromium

He clearly doesn't, yet you seem to take offense.
Cameron Johnson
I use chrome because the syncing is convenient as shit and I don't care if google knows that I fap to asanagi doujins or that blowjob centered javs are my favorite because its likely no one will ever look at it or use it because its not useful information and there are literally thousands with the same preferences.

It competes pretty well. It's literally just firefox without all the useless features like pocket and with some privacy minded addins. gnu.org/software/gnuzilla/
(and the logo is also a cute)

nothing is perfect user. that's why you can uninstall it and replace it with something better.
Carter Collins
Because Opera died four years ago and we've yet to have something take its place.
Jaxson Clark
still. who the fuck maintains this fork? how are you so certain it won't lag behind in important features. these browsers have less than 1% market share they are not backed by anything and probably are not supported by many things
Easton Brooks
I'm not the guy who shilled Icecat but I looked into it out of curiosity: >IceCat is not based on Firefox ESR 52.0! >Also, currently there are months between a new release of GNU IceCat and Firefox ESR. Please take this into consideration for your personal usage of the browser as you might be at risk when surfing unknown and potentially dangerous websites!
Firefox has come out as openly promoting communist and socialist ideas, including all the SJW bullshit from hair-dying to buttfucking from time to time in their updates. If you used firefox, you'd know. t. Firefox user.

>derailing conversation with muh lefty politics You faggots are the cancer that's killing Sup Forums. Stop shitposting about the alleged Sup Forums boogeyman; nobody provoked your interjection.

Can someone give me a serious example of how Firefox is being sjw? I use it and haven't noticed any sjw shit going on.
Leo Moore
Opera has the best mobile/PC sync out there so that does it for me
Logan Thompson
And who provoked the people who complain that Firefox are all SJWs? That doesn't matter. If the straight white males behind Internet Explorer were all weeaboos with waifu pillows and >tfw no gf, would you suddenly decide Internet Explorer was the best browser just because of the opinions of its creators?
Ryder Collins
>a bunch of degenerates >making best browser Oh, boy.
Also, >microsoft >straight white males
You are very, very new.
Read up (or play youtube vids, more likely) on early days of firefox and how they raged against the cis-het evil that is microsoft. You literally sound like a couple of them.
Jack Gomez
>muh sjw I'll stick to Firefox thanks Everyone else can enjoy Google and their mess
