2017
dat contrarianism / smug elitism
now that's what I call edgy
>2017
There are still people who take cat-v seriously
That is so fucking stupid.
>left: things everyone uses
>right: things nobody uses
This is a great way to make it so that you can't ever work productively with anybody else on Earth. I agree with a very small few of them but most of those alternatives are horribly dated and irrelevant.
goddamn these guys are really sucking Go's dick hard
C is safe but I can't use Pthread.
Pajeet write this list?
Because it's that good.
Don't agree with everything but otherwise Solid list. Thanks for the contributive post OP.
Was this list made by an autist?
Please do no bully the dead.
this list is made by plan9 fanboys.
pthreads are threads by posix.
plan9 fanboys don't like posix..
therefore plan9 fanboys don't like pthreads (or any thread model that's not CSP)
...
> can't ever work productively with anybody else on earth
Where do you think we are?
>bad: xml
>good: plain (UTF-8) text
But XML files are plain text and can be UTF-8 encoded. What did the author mean by this?
Utterly stupid bait list
>STOMP
STOMP is as dead as it gets, whereas xmpp has made some nice progress with OMEMO, e.g.
(I don't use xmpp either, because it's a Sup Forums meme, but it's nice to see some progress)
>le harmful meme
anyone taking this seriously on any level should clean (him/her/xer/their)self out of the gene pool as soon as possible.
>C is less harmful
>seems like they know what they are talking about
classic Sup Forums with no posts of no value, just edgy autism
Probably schemas
>Go
Stopped reading right there, this chart is stupid
Friendly Reminder
Harmful:
Sup Forums (closed source, undisclosed collaboration w/ government)
Less Harmful:
Reddit (open source, discloses collaboration w/ government)
>Glib libc
Does the libc here refer to the standard library or something else?
I don't understand Glib is huge general purpose library which does good alternatives but is this graph saying you shouldn't use any data structure / abstraction library?
If you program a Gtk+ program, just use Glib (your program will link against it anyway). For a standalone terminal program you can probably go without it.
This list triggers Sup Forums because this board is full of Linux shitters who feel smug about following wiki instructions to install Arch. Then they encounter people who actually know what they're doing and suddenly they don't feel so hot anymore.
No it triggers people because it suggests Go as an alternative to fucking phreads.
> Utf-8, json, C, awk, tmux, ps
> Things that nobody use
Yeah sure, kiddo
what's wrong with bash and GNU in general?
read again...
Ok
>>left: things everyone uses
>>right: things nobody uses
On the right, there is listed Utf-8, json, C, awk, tmux and ps
But it is made by google, which means it is a lot more harmful than anything on the harmful list.
You are practically supporting terrorism
>Go
>Less harmful
kek
I can't even understand how a language can be harmful except for Sepples, because, yeah you know, it's in the name.
>what's wrong with bash and GNU in general?
Too mainstream
