Which Linux DE and WM are you using and why?

Which Linux DE and WM are you using and why?

xfce, just works

retarded session management

Just Openbox. I like modularity.

What's wrong?
And why aren't you using systemd's loginctl

MATE and what the fuck ever it ships with, Marco?

GNOME 3/GNOME Shell because I don't have autism.

Polo

Can't stop it saving/restoring sessions using the gui, need to fiddle with dir permissions. Admittedly this is with the version from debian stable.

Lumina
Lightweight and just werx

>systemd

KDE with only qt and kf5 applications
>KDE connect, dolphin, Qupzilla, cantata, vlc

dont use a DE, i3-gaps does it for me

I use a variety. My main favorite is i3 + dwm (I think? I set it up so long ago I forget if it actually USES dwm)

Gnome/Gnome shell

Quartz on MacOS.

I wasted my money and now I'm stuck with it.

dwm is the best. WIth a little C you can put any feature you want in it.

xmonad

I am literally downloading opensuse as we speak

/thread

/unthread

lightdm and fluxbox

Personally I use thunar and a few other utils but I really use i3.

Hell yeah, boi

Everything that isn't i3 is actual trash.

Why? Pic related.

i use open box because i like it

openSUSE KDE because it's the only distro where Firefox's file picker has working thumbnail preview.

try cancelling it
>firefox crashes

Unriced i3 because I'm autistic but not a weeb faggot

GNOME, just works.

Cinnamon and Openbox

What bar?

Linux is a kernel

OPenbox and tint2. Easy to make how I like it and haven't been tempted into anything else. Fast.

Session restoring is so annoying.

Gnome, it doesn't just work, it actually works well, has features, is modern and is easy to use.

cinnamon werks for me

Console TDM and i3wm

bspwm #1

dwm

XFCE because I'm fed up with everything else. I might switch to a stand alone wm in the future just because I don't like the idea of having clearly replaceable shit tied to my system. Phonon in KDE, Thunar in XFCE, everything in GNOME, etc.
There's a box you check on log out if you want to save your session

Openbox because I'm fucking pro.

xfce

I'm really only using it for the settings manager and the fact that I already have an easy fix to eliminate all screen tearing via compton, might install openbox soon since I used to love how intuituve it felt when I first started testing out distros with crunchbang

>XFCE because I'm fed up with everything else
This.

Thunar is very replaceable though.

openbox+tint2 or awesome depending on screen size

Arch with KDE Plasma and i3
