What did Google mean by this?

What did Google mean by this?

The triangle is like "go back", the box is like bring up different windows, the circle is just like press the circle nigga

What did Samshit bean by this?

They meant "we want to differentiate from other phone developers but we can't design for shit."

its a shit display, often "hidding" and needing
the user, slide the phone to bring back.
Making it stick out, in most of the apps,
sometimes blocking important buttons etc.

>i like my Honor 8 however

You know you can switch the layout of these right?

Stupid fuckin appleshit user.

What do you mean? I just think these fucking buttons look hideous, that's all.

I have Lenovo phone btw, so fuck off, retard.

mobile UIs have become even more cancerous

They copied playstation

i wish they would bring back physical buttons for these desu

calm down friend

>back button on right
It still does not make ANY sense

That doesnt change the design of the Task View

That you're a babby

It would be cool if Sony put these on their Xperia devices.

Pretty sure that's just a ripoff of the mi mix.

also, this was considered at one point
Was it a google search app integration or would it be a branded button everywhere, I don't remember for sure.
but that would've been
BRAVE
R
A
V
E

It's like they want their emblems to look like shitty neon signs.

>babby
baby

What would the X button do?

...close

Why hello there, newfriend!
I hope it has been a great first day for you so far!

They simplified the old back, home, and multitask buttons to basic shapes.
The triangle represents back, similar to the previous track button.
The circle button represents home, which is a stretch, but the iPhone home button is a circle so I think it can work.
The square button represents multitasking, symbolized by a square app window. That one is also a little bit of a stretch.
They accomplished their goal of having very simple buttons, but at the cost of user experience. The user will likely quickly learn what the buttons do though, so I'm not sure if it's a fair trade off or not.

>arbitrary geometric shapes are now supposed to have obvious meanings
I hate modern UI design.

and playstation copied simple shapes

...

the red button was always on the right of feature phones
