replace level 3 DNS with grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm

Truecrypt should be replaced with Veracrypt.,

Little big mouse because 4k + 1080 does not play well

That caused me physical pain to read.

holy shit this is real real bad

No. Install Gentoo.

Also the common sense meme is bullshit. Malwarebytes free+bit defender free + glasswire free

ghacks.net/best-windows-software/

What is glasswire?

Also does anyone ITT use Comodo firewall? A secondary firewall is just that right? It doesn't replace the original windows firewall? Is it worth using Comodo? Or is it just a headache to get both firewalls to play nice with each other just to let a program through?

I don't use an passive anti virus because they're all so annoying and invasive and usually only catch any problems after they've already infected your machine. Been using common sense and MBAM.

For everyday use and playing games I fail to see what the issue is here. Obviously it's not up to Sup Forums standards but I'm not looking to go chromium on a Linux distro

Glasswire is a commercial network monitor+firewall that extends the default Windows firewall. Prompts everytime an app tries to connect.

You can get it on 10 PCs for $50 right now, it's usually $200

How are you even on here?

Reddit ;)

...

Where are you getting the elite license for $50? Even at $50 for a single PC, the program looks good enough that I'm probably going to buy it. You've used glasswire for a while now? Any pitfalls or problems?

>IMBLYING

Sumatra PDF has terrible issues printing, I've actually gone back to Foxit reader, still use irfanview with plugins to view PDFs tho
There's better options than Malwarebytes
MPV is unironically the best video player for windows
Have been trying Brave Browser and Vivaldi, afaik the jury is still out on them

I actually do use Comodo firewall, have since 2010, it's alright

Comodo isn't a secondary firewall. WF is. Comodo is the proper firewall, windows firewall is a half-measure for the LCD to not be totally unprotected.

Comodo does that for free

this is a list of free(gratis) programs

>ccleaner

fuck off

Go on the steam discussion forum there's a link to it for $44.99

And I've used it since December. Love it. Far better than Comodo

Looks like a random list of free software... But here's what it's missing:

Maintenance:
Open Hardware Monitor

Security:
VeraCrypt instead of TrueCrypt (TC is dead)

Applications:
Deluge torrent client

I'd also recommend Recuva Reflect free version for making backups of your whole Windows system.

Forgot Glasswire free version that lets you monitor internet traffic and block apps connecting to it (free version doesn't block them from connecting by default, only after they went online at least once).

>Windows defender (can send whatever files it wants to MS)
>Office 365 (your documents on MS servers)
>OneDrive (same as Office 365 but all your files)
You seem to not care about privacy, but you use firefox for porn? Wew.

desufam office 365 is worth every penny in a professional environment

Wait, why are all Office 365 docs saved in the cloud? It doesn't do it for me.

>utorrent
All versions are garbage yes even the old compromised version.

But has Veracrypt been audited ?

Most people use AES, which the NSA declared unfit in 2006, so take that with a grain of salt.

Yeah and now that they're tools are compromised so is everyone's data.

Add Opera. Yes, it's "botnet", but so are AV software and comodo firewall. Plus it's better than chrome and should be advertised as such.
