AMD has been a joke since 2003

AMD has been a joke since 2003.

Why are they even in the business?

>offer 90% the performance for half the price

I don't see the problem. Save their shitty GPU drivers they're fine.

Oh where did you get that spec sheet from? Another one of those """leaks"""???

You're retardet

Kys you're selve

>Retardet

>moar coars

Well to be fair, September 2009 - March 2012 they were doing well with their GPUs. Terascale 2 was superior in every way to Fermi.

I'd concur, but Ryzen is a serious player in the processor market now. If they apply the same principles to the next iteration of this architecture, then they will survive as a CPU company.

Other than that, it's pretty clear that they've been hanging onto the coattails of the Radeon GPUs for awhile now. They're really great at the price, and if Vega succeeds as Ryzen has, then we have a real opportunity to smash Nvidia's market domination.

DESU, what turned me onto AMD was their FreeSync standard. They're not charging a $200 fee like Nvidia is. They're gonna succeed simply for that, in my opinion.

so Intel is not accused of monopoly

Gsync is better technology though. You can forget AMD ever smashing Nvidia in anything. Most people consider AMD trash/second rate.

5 most fastest gpus on market are by Nvidia at this moment.

Here's your (you)

>Gsync is better technology though.
For the premium you have to pay for it sure as hell better be. Most people though don't want to pay the premium for Gsync and find Freesync offers a good enough experience plus better display selection. No reason why Nvidia can't support both but continue to position Gsync as a premium product.

>Most people consider AMD trash/second rate.
Not an argument. Most people are retarded and continue to buy 970s, 1060s and other trash Nvidia GPUs even though AMD offers superior versions at cheaper prices.

>Gsync is better tech
if it is, it's not by much and certainly not enough to justify the price premiums, and the market has shown that to be true. Last I heard, the only significant advantage Gsync has is that Gsync monitors ship with profiles specific to the monitor that make it look slightly better than Freesync, but the truth is that both are simply implementations of Adaptive Sync, which is a VESA standard which was not invented by either company.

AMD offerings are more expensive in Europe and don't have significant performance up to Nvidia counterpart, sometimes even less performing depending on the game. Used 970 can be bought for super cheap prices. Same with CPUs as well, intel 7700k is cheaper by 100 - 150 bucks than 1700 ryzen. AMDs competitors can strongarm AMD at any given time, whenever they want.

>shitty GPU drivers

2014 and prior is calling.

drivers havent been a problem since Windows 8.1 and 10 2015+

Intel injects capital using shell companies to keep them afloat. It's cheaper than having to explain to the rest of the world why they are the only ones making actually working shit.

Fastest at what? Certainly not open gl or vulkan

you are obviously too underaged to remember the K8

the only thing g sync is better at is raping your wallet

You idiots have been saying this for nearly two decades now, from when they were still ATi. Every fucking year you morons claim their drivers are magically fixed and "those problems" haven't existed since two generations ago.

Seriously. Every fucking generation you claim everything was fixed two generations ago. In 2014 you claimed they were fixed in 2012. In 2012 you claimed it was fixed in 2010. You just keep moving the bar around and problems still keep popping up year after year.

at least amd drivers dont fucking brick cards and AMD cards dont literally fucking explode.

Ive had ATi/AMD cards since 2003 and nvidia cards since 1999 your talking shit mate

>magically fixed

nvidia needs to magically fix their awful drivers

>Why are they even in the business?
Intel wants the to be

>Falling for the bait

>we

>wuz

and that's why amd will never really be relevant in the gpu market.

What could make them stay afloat with enough sales to justify the time and monetary investment is if they mcm their gpus and can put out full lineups every 6-9 months. That way they don't piss time and money away on high end skus that never make mank back and they can focus on bang for buck designs. If they kick nvidias shit in doing this, it will be 2-3 years before nvidia can respond if they aren't already trying to mc, themselves.

on a final note, freesync is better, has less overhead, and the only reason gsync is looked at as the better option is amd let everyone use the name freesync so it got on dog shit monitors, the best free sync ones kick the best g sync's ass by not only being lower overhead, but also cheaper and the exact same panel to boot.

gtfo shill

>if it is, it's not by much
The difference between gsync and freesync, aside from cost, is that freesync only works in fullscreen applications and Gsync works in windowed mode.

>480 beats out 1060 while being cheaper
>R5 1600 beats out 7700K while being cheaper

I see no problem here, keep wasting your money.
