Cuckcuckgo

Why is cuckcuckgo displaying aids?

I thought it respected my privacy

because you had sex with it

It's only now you realize

That's meta information pulled from wikipedia, you retard.

Even used the nasty Google tactic to display it disguised as the first result.

Use startpage.

Best bait I have seen yet

>first result
>[AD]

So then whats the best privacy search engine?

this

>Search for Lastpass
>Get an ad that takes you to Lastpass' website

MY PRIVACY, THEY TOLD LASTPASS I WAS INTENDING TO GO TO THEIR SITE

A better question would be, why don't you have Ublock Origin in 2k17?

startpage

Maybe because hosting a site isn't free? I guess.
Unironically asking this.

Op BTFO

What's wrong with ixquick?

>be a gratis privacy oriented service that naturally depends on donations
>no donations
A)
>display ads to keep running
>[autistic screeching]
B)
>jew yourself to some data mining company
>profit
>no one suspects
>then someone leaks something
>service kill

looks like they picked the right one. you could've figured this out yourself user

>muh privacy

why do i get the feeling a google employee was behind this thread

gotta pay for it somehow

Wow this image is retarded

>WHAT IS QWANT SEARCH ENGINE

Displaying ads doesn't justify the dark pattern of making ads indistinguishable from your search results.

>big, bright blue AD placard immediately next to the result
>indistinguishable from real results

>>big
>>bright blue
As big, and as bright blue as the links themselves. It's not really that obvious, google does it better.

YaCy retard.

Use searx hosted locally.

Searx. Startpage is not open source (even though it has best search results).

you had me disable ublock for this "dark pattern of making ads indistinguishable" statement

>keepass
>password manager
>best password manager
>how to remember my passwords
>best way to manage passwords
>program for keeping passwords
>i keep forgetting my passwords
>password manager with last in it
>password manager with kee in it
>better password manager than keepass
>keepass is fucking shit

non of these search queries shows that ad. NUL, zero, NIL, cero, нyль, N/A. its merely a attempt from ceo stay on top in searches for lastpass. stop being triggered.

Pushing the results down by disguised ads IS a dark pattern. The average user does not recognize that these are ads. If you don't believe me, go watch your parents search something.

At least Google had ads with distinct background colors for years before they started doing this shady shit. If the only selling point of your startup is telling me you're operating at higher moral standards than your competitiors and you do this you can fuck off.

Are you blind? Do you not read from left to right?

How is that relevant to how big, or how bright blue it is?

It's literally from Yahoo.

If you cant read the label [Ad] then you must be blind. Besides uBlock blocks ads.google.com or whatever the url is. So clicking it wont matter.

>not using startpage
lol

>not using searx

Since this thread is already up and gong I won't make a new one for my question.
What is the best ad blocker for Chrome? Ads have started getting past AdBlockPlus lately.

You have a child's understanding of UX (and possible context in general)

W e w

That's a good thing since a child should be able to understand a UI.

You're just delusional. No point in discussing this with you.

>If you cant read the label [Ad] then you must be blind.
Yeah, because there's so much focus on the tiny Ad placed BEHIND the stuff that makes it look like a regular search result. 99% of all people just click on the first fucking link without reading because they expect a SE to show a relevant link there and that's why SE do this shit. It's unethical because most people don't notice they're following an ad. Even ITT is some guy was asking what's wrong with Wikipedia because he was actively looking for an ad in that picture and he couldn't find it.

>Besides uBlock blocks ads.google.com or whatever the url is.
Most people aren't capable of blocking ads.

Everyone uses uBlock Origin nowadays
