if anything, TehC incentivizes people NOT to seed. If you want people to download a torrent you're seeding, you want it to be FL, i.e. on seeder surge, i.e. less than five seeders. And if you want to download something, it's likely going to be on FL i.e. seeder surge, meaning less than five seeders. So what we end up with is a system that reaches homeostasis hovering just above 5 seeders. God forbid you actually want to share a movie, the best thing you can do is actually stop seeding so someone else can download from the remaining four people.

>curry op image
Speaking of autists, i just went to leddit and holy fuck they write essays. Somefag asked about a dead tracker and people wrote 300 word replies. The fucking autism

TehC also has an artificial traffic issue. Seedboxes circlejerking with sending BDMVs or ancient XviDs to each other has no purpose but to build buffer. Most people will probably dump all versions but one after a week anyway.

see
>If someone doesnt make a new OP in the next 5 min, Im making one with NO news and a SHITTY OP image

You only have yourself to blame, kiddo

I seriously think adding a slow-tick bonus system + hnr rules would fix most of red's problems, also they should remove & disallow anything other than music (books, apps etc)

I wouldn't even care if RED had one month minimum seed time. Fuck, I'd even do a year. But just give us some goddamn way to download music

Speaking of TehC, myr why so slow?
Its not crossed 7 days caught up mark yet wtf!

>tfw joined ggn 2 weeks ago, just got the AHD invite

No need to lie user

Im not going into last thread esp after seeing what you wrote on r.eddit. scumfucks are probably still talking about whatcuck trackers tehcurry

Long gone is the discussion of comfy video trackers

Face it: torrenting vids + plex = comfier than cable/streaming

Spotify is far comfier than downloading music from awful communities to your computer then putting them on your phone. Just facts. Whatcucks

Spotify doesn't have all the stuff I listen to, plus the app is shit

taxi to xanax sirs?

Which tracker has the slowest econ, any medium?

FSC/ iTS or AOM

what.cd

people had buffer up the wazoo on what.cd after 4 successive fl picks

>has

How's your gold gen, /ptg/? With 2x gold, I'm making about .9 gold per gigabyte with a seedsize of about 4tb

Per hour, btw

LB, LF. Bitme is also dead so I've only ever logged in twice.

Most users/least activity: TheGeekz

MaM also has a bad ratio: like 200k users, have to donate or apply to upload. Like 10 uploaders

I mean day

>AOM
don't pretend like you know

I mean week

6 TB seeding size (Hetzner 8 TB box), 1.2 gold per day.

What happened to Captain Jean-Luc Van Der Beek Edition?

make the OP image and post it here

In the interests of fairness and diversity I think we should have first officer Commander Sarek Riker and ship's counselor Siria Troy also on the bridge.

Make it so!

and now

Retards complaining about not being able to download music from R*D post your stats NOW. It possible to grab up to like 50Gb or more worth of music if you seed everything.

well user, if you don't contribute Ill make this the next shitty OP image

>Red's problems
>solved by bonus points and hit n run rules
No such problems.

>just give us some goddamn way to download music
Have you tried this revolutionary concept called uploading?

Why is RED way ahead of Waffles in that case you fucking idiot?

t. zed

>But just give us some goddamn way to download music
>step 1. upload
>step 2. seed
Fucking done you idiot.

Any ways to cheat buffer on KG other than pots and freeleech?

and I'm sure you've uploaded as many, if not more torrents that you've downloaded from btn and ptp, am I wrong?

You don't even need to upload anything at all... You can get like 120 Flac's or 420 V0 albums for free.

>420

Not him, but music is way easier to upload than movies or TV. Musical recordings exist in the millions and are easily accessible, movies and TV on the other hand exist in the thousand and lower millions, and can't always be bought.

I will post the best /ptg/ OP image you've ever seen if this thread reaches 350 posts without someone jumping the gun and making a new thread with the previous one not even being close to dropping off the front page.

but nobody wants to download 99% of the music that's on red, unless you upload the beatles or radiohead or cheat some dumbass' autosnatch you'll never get any buffer

...

Well, if you are going to be such a lazy cunt that you can't even be bothered to post in the unsnatched thread then go fuck yourself you retard.
Besides, all kinds of stuff gets snatched, even obscure bands signed to no name labels without having to post them on the unsnatched thread.

no, you fuck yourself, you obviously have no idea what the fuck you're talking about or you're zed

>you obviously have no idea what the fuck you're talking about or you're zed
both

Exigo

> you obviously have no idea what the fuck you're talking about
Fuck off. I have already uploaded hundreds of torrents to RED, I know what I'm talking about. You are only bitching because you are an entitled cunt that contributes nothing.

how many of those torrents have been snatched? rough estimate

80%?
And I haven't posted in the unsnatched thread for the whole month.

By the way, this Is considering all my uploads, not just perfect flacs. Out of those less than 5 are unsnatched and were uploaded a few weeks to a few hours ago.

good for you, keep those bandcamp releases coming

What's the best source for VR porn (180 deg 3D video, not the CG kind)? EMP and PB seem pretty good, but are missing some of the vendors.

Because they, along with Apollo were the first vultures on the battlefield. Ready to rip apart what was left of What.CD's userbase and appropriate as their own.

They didn't create anything new. They only forked the tracker, copy pasted rules and wikis, spinned some PR to attract ex-wcd userbase to act as mindless drones repopulating the new sites with old content.

Neither RED nor Apollo did achieve anything on their own, you imbecile mongrel.

Zed, please do kindly fuck off to your site. This is not your place to spill your populist propaganda. Nobody's going to believe you either.

Everyone could see through your bullshit ever since you fucked over that naive idiot Sarek, then when you started anti-Apollo shitposting (the other site, shitty as it is, at least has the decency no to do that).

We all know you're browsing this thread and this Russian maskirovka style trolling is just embarassing, son.

>Well, if you are going to be such a lazy cunt that you can't even be bothered to post in the unsnatched thread then go fuck yourself you retard.

>Unsnatched thread, retard.

Posting in a thread when the shit economy is stalling the traffic on site is just as effective as school kids sending postcards to Somalia to help fighting structural poverty, raging famine and power fragmentation among tribal warlords.

Please, don't share your imbecile ideas next time.

~Professor of Tracker Economy.

I mostly upload CD and Vinyl. No more than 5 WEB recordings.

RED ended freeleech staff picks so that's good.

He's not wrong, you know?

>hey! Here is a solution that works!
>no! It doesn't work because I want to get buffer while doing nothing!
Almonds

I'm going to need to see your degree Professor

fuck off zed

>Helping data movement among userbase through posting in a forum thread.

Read this sentence in your head three times and realise how fucking ridiculous it sounds.

A healthy tracker strives toward
>balanced seed number
>maximising movement of data among its userbase

At this moment RED has
>seeds in extremities, ex-FL torrents with ridiculous high numbers and on the other end vast amounts of single-seeded torrents
>stalled movement
>three classes of people - 1) those fed up on early access buffer (they don't contribute shit and also there's only so much you can download so they don't spend it either), 2) the middle ground with at least several dozen uploads and several dozen GB of buffer, increasing very slowly (much worse than on WCD), 3) the poor newfags that may have even contributed something but since there's no movement their buffer is growing in an absurdly low rate, prohibiting them from casual downloading or making them some thread beggars

GREAT WAY TO RUN A TRACKER, CONGRATS.

Read that same quote again three times.
Keyword: Help.
It's not a requisite.

A healthy tracker strives towards having the most content possible. Balanced seed number means nothing. As long as that number is one or more it's fine because it means the content is accessible.

It's shitty that people 1) managed to get so much buffer by doing almost nothing, but there wasn't really an alternative.
People 2) are the people who deserve to download from the tracker and actually can.
People 3) are not uploading anything or else they would be people 2). They belong at HidraZone, not even Apollo.

The tracker works wonders for people who actually contribute content.

I'm not on any of those trackers, so yes. Most of them are unsnatched though, I just uploaded them to become Elite.

...

>Rare content being one (1) force majeure away from disappearing
>fine

It's fine, but I wouldn't be against the idea of a bonus for having at least two seeders for every torrent. This would be very easy to abuse though.

>As long as that number is one or more it's fine because it means the content is accessible.
But you've just said being a seeder is nothing:
>I want to get buffer while doing nothing!

Guess they should stop doing it. Nothing wrong with stopping doing nothing, right?

Any system is easy to abuse if the designer of it is incompetent.

Fuck off.

You get the idea.

no, I tell you to fuck off, your role is to fuck off

Kyle has a mental breakdown again? Damn.

>tfw on ratio watch

taxi sir?

apolo is for the peolple

>no! It doesn't work because I want to get buffer while doing nothing!
seeding isn't "nothing" though - you're keeping the files around and added, doing something illegal and helping if someone does download that torrent

it is annoying to keep the same torrents seeding for months or years, never gaining anything for it

it is even more annoying to download that fucking Radiohead just to get some upload

War is Peace
Freedom is Slavery
Seeding is Leeching

>apolo is for the peolple
>lost 1000+ users every week for the last 2 months
I see

yes!

pooploop is also fucking dead

...

Seeding requires no effort and doesn't help to increase the library of the site.
If you want upload, actually upload stuff.

>Seeding requires no effort and doesn't help to increase the library of the site.
it does help to keep it available and alive.

>If you want upload, actually upload stuff.
it is true that this is really with music, though. I live in a non-English speaking country so my CD shelves are full of albums that aren't really available online.

...but it is still just a little bit too much since you don't necessarily get almost any buffer out of your own uploads, either. give bonus points for new uploads if you want to expand the torrent library, maybe?

You do realize the only reason why anyone can download anything with torrents is because people... seed?

STOP MAKING SENSE!!!

user I am uneducated and not good at math, so I am wondering if you can explain something to me:

Why is Apollo's S/L ratio increasing if no one is snatching anything and no one is uploading anything. How are they getting more seeds?

So for stupid question

...

cross-seeders

I think the sudden increase is related to the tracker issues with ssl

Maybe they had FL pics those days, dunno.

In your opinion, is it good for the site if it has a high S/L ratio? Despite not having many snatches/uploads. To be honest, I didn't expect APL's population to be the cross-seeding type

It's worse on PTP, she's a month behind.

>she

True, but at the expense of less uploads and less filled requests.
You can get an almost guaranteed buffer for every upload you make by posting in the unsnatched thread. Now, I wouldn't oppose some kind of bonus for the original uploaders, such as an instant buffer equal to the size of the torrent as long as you keep your seeded.
Bonus for seeding is a shit idea though.

>instant buffer equal to the size of the torrent as long as you keep your seeded.
This sounds like it'd increase uploading much more than the current 0/1/0 system.

Yes, so? You only need one seeder. Giving bonus for seeding past that one seeder is ridiculous.

i don't care hooooow impossible it seeeeeeems

...

I'd put that number to 2-5 because a single seeder is a god damn risk

BakaBT has a system where bonus points are only given to torrents that have low amount of seeders.

They haven't had a single unseeded torrent in several years.

Why some people still use utorrent in 2017 when they're superior alternatives like rutorrent, deluge, transmission and qbittorrent?

it's a good system, but they don't exactly have a large selection of content.
blacklist, as well as only 1 encode per category.
