There's no reason to not keep using KCP. The only reason to use anything else is if you aren't on Windows.

then only reason to use kcp over cccp is for madvr and now its madvr is way out of date.

Just install MPC-HC nightly directly. CCCP doesn't offer anything more except the xysubfilter which isn't updated anymore.

Not him but in case you need a gui similar to mpc, mpv can be used as backend for a lot of GUIs, for example smplayer is very similar to mpc-hc.

mpc has built in LAV filters for some time now.

Anime are what the extra settings make the most difference for you dumbass. Live action TV doesn't have the solid blocks of color that show banding and artifacts so well.
