The problem is that amd worked to fix it while intel left even their top end processors unsoldered. If intel had a bad run like amd has had i could forgive bad temps. The problem is that intel both have the ability and equipment to fix it, they just wont, solely to save some money on each chip.
It's not an accident, Intel just don't care about their customers. I am a longtime user of intel processors. But the fact that they have lowered the quality of manufacturing and believe people will still buy their shit is an insult to their customer base and should be punished.

My oc'd to 4.1 1700 never goes above 70 degrees... my 7700k at 5.0 hit's 95-100 on the same cooler... hmmm really makes you think.
You know this image is just a bug in speccy where it shows double temps on AMD CPUs, right? The guy was just trolling. 123c is far beyond the point of thermal shutdown. Pic related, my AMD laptop which is not actually on fire.
"bug" Ryzen had something similar... a temperature offset AMD actually called it a feature in their message to the community.

Intel overheats because the build quality of the CPU is shitty because intel decided to use thermal paste instead of solder under the heat spreader
