Is there anywhere I can buy an RX 480/580/570/470 that isn't being sold with a 300% markup right now?

Jet.com maybe

I have a RX570 that my fucking cousin got for me. I fucking hate AMD with a passion. I can sell it for $180 - $200 if you want. I don't want this toaster anywhere near me.

Hi I'm selling electronics ATI told me that we get more information about restock 6.5.
[that is in 2 days for my timezone]
So you will have to wait 2weeks minimum.

wait for Vega I guess or buy a shit Nvidia GPU that will be deprecated in a few months

>Find out at computex vega is basically 6 months away
>fuck, guess I'll buy a 570 to tide me over until then
>ethereum skyrockets and all the amd cards are sold out

o-okay

Sold mine at $250.
Sapphire quality really drop with Nitro line.

Is it loud or something?

Vega will be in this quarter July or August

Yeah, but it'll be a paper launch and take 1 month for cards to actually be available assuming I can even buy a reference card with all of them being bought up by miners

And another 2-3 months from there for AIB cards to be available, so I won't actually be able to get a vega GPU until september at the earliest and then it's the middle of christmas consumerism so more likely around jan-feb before I can actually get a card shipped to me

If the crypto bubble is still going strong I will just buy the reference model and liquid cool it with CLC AIO or go ham and build a custom loop.

This is the first time my third world shithole has a PC component cheaper than in burgerland, thank you bitcoin miners
Also which one should I get?

If you're going for 580's, the Sapphire Nitro is good. If you're going for 480's, the Sapphire Nitro is one of the worst.

They said it will be out in May, then announced that it'll come 2 months later in May 31st.

Zen was supposed to be out in 2016 too.

I'm getting the 580 8GB Nitro+ LE since its the best one here, rest are either 4GB or the shitty 8 GB XFX or Pulse models. The 1070 is 50% more so not an option.

Why the fuck are all the RX models sold out?

not just me that noticed this then. I just sold mine on ebay. 2 of them for £590. can get a fucking 1080 for that..

cryptojews

He probably got the reference card, in which case sucks ass

Black Friday

...

I have a really shitty situation here. I paid for a 570 and they went out of stock as my payment cleared. They have offered me a 550 for 179 aud would I be losing much if I went for the cheaper option. They say it'll be at least 3 months till they restock.

550 is not worth it. dont take it cuz its way inferior

>JUST WAIT

how the heck are RX 480s worth close to 700 bucks now it's insane

crypto minin?

Ye, eternal cryptojew strikes again.

>none jewish company makes the best miners

really makes me think

wait what I have an RX480 youre saying i could resell it for more now?

Ye. Cryptocucks are buying every Radeon they see.

I just checked its going for almost 800 wtf I got it for under 200 during a flash sale

Undervolted Polaris is the best compute/watt you'll find on the market. Guess what cryptocucks love.

gpu companies SHOULD differentiate segments between gaymen and cryptominin as they do with professional usage on quadro and amd equivalent

it's a blatant conflict of interest offloaded on customers which also undermines the gaymen industry to a certain degree, high cost low availability, lower headroom to dev

rfid chips would be useful in this aspect

Crypto market is volatile as fuck. Creating another GPU segment is just retarded.

Where is the best place to sell a card?

I don't really know I'm a cuck with 780ti waiting for Vega.

There is no reference 570, he's just retarded

try to swap it for a 1070 or 980 Ti on the aftermarket if you're good

was looking at this. if i could trade for a 1070, I'd be fine with that.

Cryptomining will be present in quite some time, large farms operate in iceland with free renewable energy and ice cooling these are large corps not even mentioning how chinas goes about it as a majority 'share' holder

it's just bothering how gpu companies turn a blind eye to mixing enterprise operations with simple gaymers that get taxed so hard in alot of countries and in effect limit gaming development and promote cloud gaming if that meme takes off

Yeah that pretty much what I'm looking to do as well. 1080 would be awesome but I don't see it happening

These companies are few. The current cryptoboom only happened due to ETH prices skyrocketing. As I said, it's extremely volatile segment that's definitely not worth developing a product line for.

yea alot of ppl get grounded by their parents for not getting good grades and their system is sold as some kneejerk reaction but you can look for sure caveat emptor. every time xx70 / 80 hits you always see Ti series from previous gen or previous gen x70/x80 sold hastily. but holiday season, high demand check. don't get a 1060 tho, no harm in trying

in addition to that amd titles shill alot so vulkan async is the selling point

have been burned a few times online though, might just keep it i dunno.

considering the demand for it, I'd say an auction site like ebay.

maybe because in the turd world electricity is too expensive for mining.

>XFX
pretty sure they made the best 480s out there. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

hd 69xxx and 7xxx series were a game changer outperforming nvidia with fermi

eth and btc skyrocket and this trend might continue because the psych barrier of being more valuable than gold is now past, the demand can only be higher unless a controversy or ruling hits and the gpu prices are outrageous for the average consumer.

700 bucks for at the very best a mid range card is ludicrous, either gpu companies turn a blind eye and cartel the market which taxes out a large part of gaming, perhaps premptively to promote cloud gaming because having an enthusiast rig for the hobby and passion of it is slowly becoming a luxury

The last quadro card had a $5k price tag and the previous maxwell titan x was exactly the same as the quadro maxwell but for corporate use. With artificial driving demand, GPUs can cost as much as a car.

TL;DR crypto mining will increase, demand will increase as mining becomes more resource intensive and the gaming market can be crushed in between, just a thought because gpu companies esp. amd don't inherently want to crush their consumers

AMD "FirePro" desu~

They did. XFX GTR is the best 480 out there.
It's Radeon Pro now and cryptocucks would like Instinct line more.

Well I have a 8gb XFX 480 should i try to sell it for more? If so where and how much?

So would it be a good investment to buy a Vega card as soon as they come available?

Also I think my local best buy has a rx 580 for $300. Is it worth picking up? I've always gone with Nvidia

27" 144hz 1440p for only $400?!

Is this a deal or am I missing something

microcenter.com/product/478859/XF270HU_27_WQHD_LED_Display_Monitor_w-_FreeSync

>I've always gone with NVIDIA
Why. And no, neither is worth it.

It's what I started with and never felt like trying AMD. Nvidia just feels like a better buy. I have the 660 currently. With all monitors using freesync I'm really considering getting a Vega card. If it ever comes

So getting one of these would just be wasting money yeah?

good price go for it, depends on your display. anything 1080 is fine, won't max 1440p 144hz ultra

yea good deal, what you're missing is that there's some shift towards HDR and quantum dot memes

who knows man, it's kinda looking like our card is going for mid 300 to 400 usd on ebay from just recent sales. maybe auctions are better to raise the price.
but what if the price goes up even more and we could have gotten a 1080 instead of settling with a 1070.
decisions decisions. would prefer a straight trade but don't think that will happen. also might have to flash the bios to a 580 since that's bait for the cryptojews

Gaymen Vega is early August.

>what you're missing is that there's some shift towards HDR and quantum dot memes

So can I expect other monitors to drop in price soon, especially around the holidays? I'm in no hurry to upgrade and I'll need a new gpu to handle those specs anyways.

probably avoid anything less than 4gb, new standard is 8gb so 6gb is manageable since alot is cached and held in vram. look into 1060 ti for a hundred bucks more, if you're looking at 4k playback in the future 1060 ti could be better for future proofing you'll have a solid discrete gpu

the RX 560 is the best card in that bracket, the 1030 and 550 are trash until they hit $50

yeah, it's an acer lmao

>6gb is manageable since alot is cached and held in vram
Enjoy your caching and being a ramlet

Not an argument

go ahead on XF270HU at 399 sold out 'cause it's sold 500 everywhere else

that's what 12vram is meant for and 16gb ddr3 is bare minimum for that. new standard is easily 8 going 12

9-10gbs are constantly loaded, pair that running completely on a ramdisk and it's as fast as it gets

Get the RX 560 or 460, they both outperform the RX 550 by a lot.

That said... I just looked at your link... wow. I paid $100 for my RX 460 4GB.

I just need a good emergency replacement that has a great performance to price ratio.
Fuck off you miner faggots.

Do you think minerfags would buy my 380x?

just look at some recently completed auctions on ebay you mong

pic related

These are my options..
What are the differences between them other than price?

fans and leds

literally nothing else

What's the cheapest, passable gpu I can get by with until Vega is released?

Not playing any modern AAA titles, just shit like Civ 5, Terraria, maybe some Mass Effect 1-3 and Borderlands.

Currently using a potato and I don't want to suffer anymore.

Are there really 0 RX 560s or 570s?

I am on the same boat except my 6850 died

drop 4gb and anything that doesn't have 6gb minimum becuase it's going to be increasingly relevant, most games tap out at 4g

on ultra full 12gb taps out at close to 10gigs max bc of ti at 11gb and this will increase further

reconsider and get a 1060 6gb instead oc whatever, preferably asus or evga

like this asus 1060 6GB Dual-fan OC

anything boost clock preferred
if evga try getting sc over ftw

Depends
In Europe its not that expensive
A brand new RX580 8GB is "only" 250€ here, so you really won't get anything out of selling your 480
