Mouse Thread

If you want a gaming mouse for FPS you need to look for
-Good sensor
(PMW3360, AM010) are good sensors
-lightweight
(Heavy mice are difficult to aim with, so look for anything under 100grams. G502 is a good mouse but it is extremely heavy at 120g, 145grams with weights)
-Wired over wireless all day. You don't need to charge them and wired are always more accurate
Usually cheaper than the expensive wireless versions (G900 is heavy, Mamba has sensor lag, G403 wireless if you're semi serious)
-DPI
You really don't need 16,000 DPI. Most people run 800 DPI. (disable Microsoft mouse acceleration, it's enhanced precision under mouse settings)
-Polling rate
You want 500 - 1,000 Hertz

You can pretty much use whatever mouse you want if you play MMO's or MOBA's.

Logitech's free scroll should be on every mouse. It's ideal for video and audio editing, as well as when working with spreadsheets.

>Top current FPS mice as of 2016, in no particular order
-Zowie EC1 or EC2 (The FK series are great as well, BenQ are the newer versions. They sell both the EC and FK series mice)
-Logitech G403, wired (G303 with the 3363 sensor. It's good if you have small hands (it's the diamond shaped one))
-Logitech Pro
-Coolermaster MasterMouse S (it's 30 bux, 90grams, good sensor)
-Deathadder Elite (under 100granms, 3366, good manufacture support)

>Finding the right mouse:
Measure your hand across the palm, from the start of your distal palm crease to the knuckle of your thumb. This will give you a reference for the size of mouse you need.

>Small hand size
(14 – 16.9cm / 5.5 – 6.6?)

>Medium hand size
(17 – 19.5cm / 6.7 – 7.6?)

>Large hand size
(19.5cm / 7.7? and above)

just stop

>(PMW3360, AM010) are good sensors
Also 3988/3989, MLT04, 3310, 3389, and Mercury.

Will there ever be a better mouse? I've been using this thing for more than 6 years.

>no side buttons
lmao

Goat mouse. I put on some teflon feet and resoldered a pair of Japanese grey Omron switches. (I need to start looking for another shell though, it's getting shiny...)

MX Master is comfy tho

Zowie EVO EC2, best mouse. Super comfy.

>Top current FPS mice as of 2016, in no particular order
>-Logitech Pro

>no mention of G102

I recently bought logitech B100, it's pretty nice. Just 3 buttons, no software, 800 dpi, like $10.
Neat if you need something simple.

current setup: Zowie FK1 with steelseries QcK mass

just ordered: DA elite with reflex lab 9x8

I'm worried the reflex lab will be too speedy/slick. the QcK is too big for my desk setup but the texture/thickness is nice. Was looking for a "control" mouse pad that was relatively normal size. Any recs?

*would prefer a more minimal look but this isn't a dealbreaker

only thing wrong so far is a bit of angle snapping

Ergonomics > Sensors

Cougar Control 2 small size.

have you used it vs. the speed?

I can't actually hold anything that is less than about 90% symmetric

No, because I don't like rough texture.

If you don't mind cancerous logo, razor pad have control surface with small size too.

>my blue wheel mouse finally died on me
>get a logitech g102 as a replacement
it's just not the same

Does windows 10 still need the registry fix to turn off acceleration?

is that a sidebutton? what mouse is that?

so is there a wireless version of this or what? fuck cables...

what's a good silent mouse?

MX518 is best girl

Who else is /G402/

Too narrow, G502 better.

It's an IMO 1.1a I think, the wmo has no side buttons but the IMO has

>Heavy Mice are difficult to aim with

If you have babby manlet hands.

i have to admit i find it harder to aim with my mouse right now as its kind of heavy

if your playing on low sensitivity is makes your arm tired quicker as well

maybe you should do some lifting

>hand size
who the hell has 20 cm long palms?
I think you're mixing palm size and hand size

Implying "GOD" is good. If it exists, it must be some kind of repulsive, monstrous entity.

Then play it with high DPI.

Anyone know a mouse NOT the Logitech MX series that has a second scroll wheel?

WHERE THE FUCK IS THE SHARKOON FIREGLIDER? A CHEAP BUT FUCKING GREAT MOUSE

I would like to buy Microsoft Optical.
This mouse is fucking sexy, my biggest dream is SteelSeries edition.

What would the Cthulu of mice be?

strait-up trash. it's not heavy but it feels heavy. just like their damn software. bogged down by something but no one can put their finger on exactly what it is. literal clubhouse-at-my-old-apartment-complex tier. literally the choice of clueless leasing office airheads. and oh boy how cool is that SICK ASS red light? only thing better than an optical mouse? being reminded it's an optical mouse with a wholly unnecessary look into the blaring red light every unblinking time you use the damn thing. what is this, the computer lab at my alma mater? legit horseshit, surely it started as a meme but now there's a couple dozen idiots that think they made the right choice with this misshapen chunk of plastic. laughin atcha

some of their models are cloned under "other" brands
check out Defender (ru) and Xenics (kr) for wildcard shit

What's the next upgrade from pic related (Azio EXO1K 3320 sensor)?

So great that they brought out a giant model of it at CES when they intro'd it

no way this is best for FPS' though right?

Mice don't make a whole lot of difference until you are a very very high elo
And even then there are more important things to worry about, like input lag

>No G502

The best mouse is the mouse that not hinder your play, not the OP meme.

My Steelseries Rival100 and RAW Sensei are actually decent as fuck. Both weigh around the same, Sensei is physically bigger frame tho. Rival is easier to aim. Sensei is easier to track. (by aim i mean q3 flickshot rails n shit)

Not a shill but they work... for games. For UI manipulation, it sucks. Jagged lines, for some reason. Precise clicks are hard by that

Deathadder elite has a 3389 not a 3360. Probably just as good, but slightly different

G502
>jack of all trades, master at none

What's a good cheap and small mouse pad?

Steelseries QCK Mini
I'm using a Roccat Taito Mini and it feels nice for a cloth pad, less friction than the QCK for sure.
