>Thank you for your time and effort. I am sorry to say that we have chosen another candidate. There was nothing detracting from your interview, so please do not take this as a negative against you. Every candidate we interviewed was well qualified and could have done a good job.

>Thank you for reaching out to us about returning for another summer internship. Unfortunately, we have chosen to move forward with other candidates, as the general feeling was that you did not take your previous internship seriously.

>Thank you for submitting your application. Sadly, we must inform you that you're an obvious shut-in with few to no social skills. We've followed up with other candidates who can parse more than one sentence without stuttering.

>actually getting an interview
Fuck you.

>tfw an unemployed university dropout, live in eastern europe and currently being randomly offered web developer and designer positions in 3 different places

>>Unfortunately at this stage, due to the high number of applications we receive, we are unable to offer individual feedback.

Thank you for attending the interview last wednesday with shitcorp llp. We regret to inform you that you have not passed the fourth round of interviews. However, please rest assured that your skills and experience were more than satisfactory. in fact, Darryll from accounts has asked to meet with you privately for an individual interview. We may reconsider your application depending on your response, and his feedback.

Thank you.

>At this time, we have decided to pursue other candidates for this position.

>We appreciate your application and your resume will be kept on file for future consideration.

I might be losing my job

Have no idea what I'm doing at all
Getting 90k right now
I have a total of 25 days until my projects go live
I have two weeks to pick up as much knowledge as I can
I need to leave Sup Forums for a month or so and get my shit together
The money is too good

what's your expenses like? rent etc

1400 month rent
Another 300 for expenses

I've been making nearly 3k a check so I'll be okay and have some savings

you are getting random offers from linkedin or something? how are they even finding you?

>not spamming your resume to multiple companies and seeing which ones bite

>sent out 30 resumes since March
>only 1 interview
>didn't even get it

not him but I get job offers through linkedin all the time, not even just recruiters, local companies just message out of the blue with positions etc

I sent about a dozen emails the past two weeks. Out of those emails, I was 'hired' as a freelance/contract worker but they have not given me shit, and I got one interview where I was rejected. Did not apply to other posts, as the work does not interest me in the slightest and I doubt I am even qualified for those jobs

Revise your resume, if highschool is listed as part of your education, you are doing it wrong

Remember when all you needed was a HS degree to get entry level jobs?

Meh, still do just leave it off.

yeah, 2 are from linkedin. third one is from a friend with connections in some callservice company.

one was through a british recruitment agency, while the multinational itself is founded in Riga. they just dropped a message. then guy from bongland interviewed me on phone a few times.

then there's some kind of an IT / webdev codemonkey farm (biggest one in the country as they claim) that first sent me a message on linkedin about some bullshit quiz, then tracked me down on facebook and asked to participate in the same thing (i'm lazy and ignored both of the messages) and then a guy from the company called me to offer a job.

I've revised it about 4 times since I started searching. It's just college education/college projects/languages/some additional experience. No internships, and since no job, no previous employers

no projects either?

Craigslist is stupid easy to get contract work for, it's usually temp but easy shit and pays a boat load

Just the ones from school. Every side project I've done is unfinished and not worth putting on my resume

What do you search for? "Programmer", "SDE", "Coder"?

I just go into job postings and look at what is posted, it's either under

>can't find work for a while
>apply to web hosting company
>put linux and keywords like that on
>get job answering phones doing password resets, telling people they need to pay bills for service, and resets of apache all day
>15/hr

Mundane as all shit but works

Maybe in the city, the craigslist here has nothing but call center work

Still builds a resume dude, expirence is the key to moving up in the IT world.

idk what you guys are doing but i literally got accepted to every place i applied to and i had a fucking 2.8 gpa from a shitty uni (CS major obviously)

what i did was go on wikipedia and look at the list of companies with the most employees, and then just went on their websites and looked at the 'career' tab

im currently working for HP in Ohio, im from Michigan and they gave me a 5,000 relocation stipend. so if you dont care where you live, thats a big benefit since companies are literally all over the place. but i was applying to everywhere, honda, toyota, tmobile, sprint, insurance companies, etc. they all need software people.

kek did that actually happen to you?
How much did you fuck up (if you did)?

Interesting. Did you apply specifically to entry positions or just any that were available?

most of their sites are categorized with "information technology", i applied for anything that wasnt like 'manager' or 'senior' in the title

glassdoor.com is a good website for finding out the type of atmosphere a company has, a lot of people report what type of questions they ask during interviews which is nice

If they are even relatively put together and interesting, they should be fine to list.
Is your GitHub or wherever you host your code on there? Companies love to see someone at least doing something.

just applied to like 8 computer gigs in my area, as well as a startup and a web dev internship (I am an electrical engineering undergrad)

already got a bite for a math tutoring position (what I am already doing) for some literally who app

>this entire thread

If you're in the bay area and your job hunt isn't going well, just change the first name on your resume to a girls name and then claim you're a tranny.
You can be one of those "i'm still exploring my identity" trannies who never actually do anything.

That's actually brilliant. Is there a way to use my being gay to get employment?

have some sense of worth you lil bitch. If you were skilled you would get a job, using your sexual orientation is the same as those women SJW's. This generation is something else

>This generation is something else

My generation isn't the one hiring, genius

I am in your generation retard. If you were skilled you wudnt have to this bitch shit to get a job. How about you actually learn something that makes you employable.

I'm sure some angry user who can't spell or write cohesive sentences on the internet is the one who deserves to be listened to, d e s u

>t.losearguement
when someone loses an argument, they always point to grammar on an image board. Nice one, when you come with an actual response then reply to me

Who was even arguing with you? You're arguing with yourself, mate

your a joke bro

*Ur

this user is right

You're fucking stupid and not even arguing.

>sent out 30+ resumes this past week
>only 1 interview
>rejected same day

>want to apply to a bunch of places for an internship this summer
>in addition to making you upload your resume, each place I applied also made me spend half an hour filling out their shitty web forms with stuff already on my resume
>give up after 2 applications
>decide I'll just spend the summer masturbating

...

>two reference letters are recommended
>tfw autist and only made friends with one professional
IT WAS HARD ENOUGH FOR ME TO DO THAT

>make friends with one professor my first year
>he asks me if I want to do any internships, that he'd write an amazing recommendation letter
>I say no, I overworked myself my first year and I want to take the summer off
>figure I'll take an internship the next summer
>he retired the semester after
>didn't even tell me
>don't know any other professors
>end up not doing any internships any summer

you can still get a reference, why does it matter if he retired. He still has the experience to give you a reference

>give his number for reference
>they call
>Hello this is Sunny Shades Retirement Home how may I help you?

It's not a good look.

don't do this
you need an internship if you wish to be employed after you finish school
don't be like me
