More RAM doesn't make a device faster at launching applications unless swapping needs to be done.
Apple has fewer, larger cores while most Android have more, smaller cores. You can't really compare them directly because they are not the same. And instruction that takes one cycle on an iPhone core may take two cycles on an Android core. Android makes up for that by having more threads available and generally slightly higher clock speeds.

Well most android phones like the OP3 can afford to run those apps even not purged in background since theres enough RAM, proper sized battery and actual fast charging tech.

I seriously considered getting a OP3 instead of a 7+, but I couldn't find any evidence of Android(or is it "Oxygen OS"?) allowing more than 3GB of RAM to be used at a time.

If you consider rooting and want to sacrifice some battery life its a simple fix

If you choose not to you still have to save it inside that window which I believe adds some sort of PDFesque exif and other data to the screenshot as if you drew on it via markup
