Holy fuck you're out of date if you think that's the alternative.
Libreoffice is where it's at these days. It works surprisingly well and is mostly compatible with xml-based Office documents. It's much better than Office 2003 now.

That is a problem, the things that teachers send me is through Google Drive so I just open it there, or I convert it to PDF.
Is not like I don't have other versions of Office just in case I need them anyway, but I haven't so far.
