the next amd gpu generation will beat nvidia, just you wait

no animefags

>he has less than 100 cores

fucking corelets when will they learn

Fucking AMD fags, when will they learn?
Clearly Intel's new i17 line will really BTFO AMD this time
I mean seriously who needs more than 8 cores anyway?

I can't believe Intel is still charging 1000$ for a quad core

i hope i'd be dead for 9.9 years by then.

>not having 8K phone
it's like, you can count individual pixels with 4k

Stop giving me cancer.

No, it's all be on CPU cache then.

t-this will be the year of the Linux desktop right guy?

bullshit

You guys aren't original enough, this thread could have been posted 10 years ago. Why even participate here?

>10 years
more like 64 gb of RAM

Exabyte HDD,SSD when

16gb of ram now at 200 dollaroonies.

Why don't you have a quantum computer?

Should I get T470 or T470p for uni and light content creation?

Anyone else excited for Vega?

>more like 64 gb of RAM

I have a shitty i3 machine and do some 3D for the shits and even I have 32GB of ram installed.
64 should be really common breddy soon.

Anime website

Is VR dead?

If not on the same die, it will probably be on a secondary die that's integrated into the same packaging.

AMD is likely to launch an SOC chip with onboard HBM2 video memory in the next 18 months. 10 years from now? I find it wholly believable that SOCs would go even further towards being a wholly single chip (or single package) solution.

Most systems will probably be sub $200. High end systems will probably be even more expensive and niche than they are now.

Give hiro enough time to eventually start banning anime outside of Sup Forums.

2028 will be the year of the linux desktop

It will almost certainly happen sooner than that simply due to how niche the desktop market is becoming. In ten years it will probably be down to just developers.

You can already get a pretty decent desktop experience from $35 in hardware. Where's the profit center for traditional proprietary open platform desktop OSes going to be a decade from now when sub $100 systems are the norm?

AMD, Nvidia, Apple, Samsung and Intel have the chance to build chips that utilize cores indipendentally for whatever is needed. The current approach of one thing for this (CPU) and one thing for that (GPU), but directly next to each other (one the same die) is still babby tier.

We should have computers that can freely distribute cores for graphics or regular processing and share the same memory across those as well, so that the whole "copy RAM via PCI-E into the GPUs VRAM bcuz that's how it always was" approach.

tl;dr computers are still shit

>Implying more memory is not a scheme to create more inbred developers that push blame on users specs instead of making better code.

>We should have computers that can freely distribute cores for graphics or regular processing

Didn't Sony initially want to do this with the PS3/Cell?

Why aren't you fags using Windows 16? Sure it uses your digital fleshlight to create an accurate 3D map of your cock to sell to advertisers to target ads like penis enlargement to you but you can just turn it off! Also who cares if it takes control of your desktop every 30 minutes to check for illegal content, you don't have anything to hide do you?

>Why is every laptop still 1366x768?

dont you remember? google made it illegal to use anything other than fuchsia

...

The problem with that is the optimal core designs for GPU style workloads and CPU style workloads are very different.
SOCs which combine a mix of CPU, GPU, and other hardware on a single die are already the norm outside of the desktop niche market.
I don't think we'll see a single core to rule them all, if anything we'll see chips that expand on the current BIG cores + little cores + GPU cores model with more specialized hardware.

You mean why is every Lelnopo laptop still 1366x768 lol

>implying Lenovo will still be a company by 2027

So the point is that shells are evolving?

Am I just supposed to laugh at this like it's big bang theory or what

Just like 3D TV.

I'm fairly sure AMD is happy with their latest graphics cards being SOLD OUT WORLDWIDE.

seekingalpha.com/article/4079168-amd-480minus-580-graphics-cards-sold-nationwide

Unless the current crypto bubble burst before VEGA is released it won't matter. It will be sold out in 5 minutes.

From what we know about Windows 10S and efforts Microsoft are making, there could be threads about

How do I side-load software onto a Windows computer? How do I install a program that's not from the appstore on Windows?

These threads will be here in a few years for sure. If Windows is so locked down it's impossible in 10 years and thus nobody's asking anymore is a real question.

Looking 10 years ahead, there's seriously another type of threads I fear,

How can I get a copy of GNU/Linux?

we already have some idiotic debates about blocking github and banning GNU/Linux distributions in the UK. It seems laughable today, and in many ways it is, but people in power do have ideas like this.

>UK's most popular PC for export is a GNU/Linux system for open source development
>Government wants to ban GNU/Linux and open source development

WTF?

go back to r/Sup Forums, redditor

>Not mining Bitcoin in your smartcontactlenses

In 10 years, you'll be legally disallowed from assuming your child's gender just because it has a penis, shitlord.

Will this be the year of windows on the desktop?

IT'S OVER!!
AMD IS FINISHED AND BANKRUPT!!!

How do I root my Google cerebral coretex?
How do I jailbreak my Apple wrist?
How do I write an operating system in GoLang?

I am not so sure Google will still exist in ten years. I think either Google or Microsoft will be divided up into smaller companies due to demonopolisation.
