been tweaking this for a while as I try to save up. Already cut about $300 off. no idea what the actual price for the mobo is or where to get it but that's what the msrp is apparently. I'll figure it out more when I'm able to buy. I wanted a 570 but the mining nonsense makes that tough.
Gavin Young
First post already explained it senpai Its the kikes
Cameron Walker
>mfw I bought 10 580 >Gonna resell all of them I am the KIKE
Daniel King
really doesn't explain shit. Mining? CUDA?... the fuck did I miss?
Levi Anderson
Mining
Evan Hall
Looks like a fine build, although that CPU seems like a bit of overkill for the graphics card.
Grayson Peterson
>Mining
Explain. Is it cryptocurrency mining or something else?
Jaxon Howard
Runescape mining.
Daniel Ross
What other mining do you think Jews will get up to? Of course it is cryptomining.
Andrew Kelly
I'm doing the same thing. Is ebay going to be over saturated though?
Sebastian Gonzalez
>> I'm level 99 in woodcutting
Come at me bro.
Jacob Miller
We will see.
Adrian Stewart
Yeah... but why GPUs? I thought that was all processor based and you could put together a shitty graphicswise rig with a decent cpu and mine away.
Eli Sanders
No one has mined with processors in ages senpai.
Gavin Mitchell
educate me like I'm five then because I am clearly behind the times.
Bought an RX 580 in my third world shithole, is there a guide for mining?
Tyler Jenkins
Thanks for the info, I will read it on my leisure over this weekend and then contemplate on whether I should jump in on this or not.
Andrew Foster
what country? I'm also a 3rd world scrub but 580 is not on stock everywhere I look.
Dominic Martin
Argentina, since 2 weeks ago I have checking daily on a website and there has been stock moving, at the start they had the Nitro+ LE, Gigabyte Aorus, etc Now they only have the 2 bestbuy RX 580s 8GB models from XFX and Nitro+ 4GB
John Gutierrez
You want to mine Eth. Not bitcoin. Or you can mine Eth and be paid out in Bitcoin. Hit out /biz/ for more info. /biz/ is the go to board for cryptomining.
Elijah Diaz

Justin Myers
I just checked /biz/ but it's full of faggots shilling different cryptos, I already knew about Eth but I was looking for a complete updated guide, specially for RX 580s
Question from a first timer, how do you choose what company to go with for GPUs? Like ASUS, XFX, Gigabyte, msi?
Aaron Brown
>page not found figure it out
Christopher Wilson
Check benchmarks and reviews Which card in particular are you interested in? Also remember that even with factory OCs most GPUs perform the same no mather the manufacturer, at least without extra overclocking
Thomas Lopez
I already screwed up back in november with a MSI RX 480 8gb, Thinking of a Nvidia GTX 1080Ti this november or sale but don't know what brand. I like ASUS but I mostly see EVGA getting the good reviews.
Bentley Davis
So I'm planning on upgrading soon, my plan so far is:
R5 1600 CPU Supernova 650W 16GB DDR4 And some cryorig cooler, maybe H5?
I've been looking at the 580s but you jews have depleted that supply in minutes, so I'm planning on bumming a holdover card from a friend's old build and waiting for Vega.
I'd like any good recommendations on:
Case - Just going to do air cooling for now RAM - Brand and speed for a ryzen 1600 (I heard g.skill was the best and high speed, a la 3200) Mobo - Brand/type. Not sure which version to go with - I will be overclocking as well. Monitor - 144Hz, pref. with Freesync for the Radeon cards. Something along lines of 24", 1080p. I'll jump to 4k when prices of those go down.
Thank you. Also fuck 580 hoarders and miners.
Robert Gutierrez
saving up for a ryzen gaming pc (gpu preferably 570/580, but will most likely be gtx 1060 6GB). What's a good value monitor, Sup Forums? I've read that you shouldn't scrimp on a monitor, since it'll last much much longer than the pc.
TN 144Hz or IPS 60Hz? 4K or not?
Personally I think that 24" 60FPS is plenty. But will gaming be more enjoyable on a >27" >60FPS? Thanks
Mason Nguyen
I will sell one to you for 400 bucks. No need to salty.
Nicholas Sanders
EVGA is good because of customer service, even if your card fails you quickly get a new one. 1060 can't do 4K so no Get an IPS 60hz unless you play a lot of esports games, then buy a TN, tho those are the only games you will be able to play with very high framerates.
Benjamin Hernandez
IPS > TN unless you play a lot of twitch shooters and need that high response rate.
Jayden Garcia
Higher Hz looks better but requires a better graphics card. 4K looks great but for 60fps you need something along the lines of a 1080.
A very safe bet is to get a 144Hz 24" for now with freesync or gsync and upgrade to a 4k when prices come down for both those monitors AND capable video cards, at which point you convert your 24" into a second screen for random tasks outside of gaming like managing your voice comms or looking at porn.
Not a chance in Hell will I be jewed up THAT much. GL on Ebay.
Dylan Mitchell
Any good monitors out there for under $150?
Isaac Reed
>or looking at porn If you have a 4k screen, you watch 4k porn. It is a game changer. But I agree, 5 years down the road, a good quality IPS will still have resale value unlike the rest of your build.
Sebastian Powell
Someone posted a decent acer 24" acer IPS yesterday. IIRC they are under 150 and pretty good.
A good video on TN vs IPS. Watch and decide which you prefer or need.
Lucas Hernandez
Get one of these, pussy
Also 650W is overkill for your plans. You really only need 400. 550 will give you more than you need in case you think you may need more later. M12II, 550RM, and 650RM were both on sale the past few days. Maybe they still are.
Brayden Johnson
Someday friend I will reach the heavens of 4k porn but today is not this day.
But I'm just talking hypothetically if he's using it as a 2nd monitor for gaming. Prices for all that 4k stuff are quite high right now.
Robert Hall
Well who would be best performance wise?
Easton Butler
I have a 27" monitor and I think it is already atrociously large. I am not able to screen pan in some games because of it. I doubt I will ever use 4k in my PC. TV yes. PC? Nah. 1440p is as large as I will go.
Elijah Flores
thanks m9! 144Hz 24", so a TN? I've looked around and there's no IPS panel with that spec. There are 27" 144Hz though. (> $600)
Also: - Will it be ok to use your 144Hz monitor to run 60fps games yearlong (or whatev years until you upgrade your gpu)? - Will you get neck pain programming on a 27" monitors or above? (I guess you can sit further back, but isn't that the same thing as getting a smaller monitor?)
Christopher Watson
kill yourself
diediediedieidie
Adrian Sanders
>Will it be ok to use your 144Hz monitor to run 60fps games yearlong Yes. To my knowledge all monitors let you see the frequency limit. Most 144 monitors have an option to limit it to 60, 120, 144. And some even let you overclock it to 165.
>- Will you get neck pain programming on a 27" monitors or above? I can't help you here. This is personal preference and style.
Ryder Wilson
IPS vs TN is a big ol' debate that boils down to what you want the monitor for. For stuff like video/photo editing where the color richness matters, IPS is the go to. For stuff where the fps matters, you want the higher Hz of a TN so you can get the godly 144Hz. It makes a difference and once you go up to 144 you won't want to go back especially if you add on freesync/gsync.
But an IPS due to the innate picture quality will last you a long time IF you switch to a newer monitor and use the IPS as a secondary - you won't need that high Hz anymore and will care more about picture quality.
Angel Gonzalez
Nobody with a brain is going to buy a used GPU after a mining boom. We know it's been tortured 24/7 for god knows how long.
James Murphy
I'd also like to add TN panels are generally cheaper being older tech.
Andrew Young
Some of the high end IPS monitors have sub 5ms response time as well which makes them usable for FPS and gaming which limits TN to if you are playing twitch shooters. So take that into account when choosing an IPS monitor if you decide to get one.
It is brand new and out of the box moron. I am scalping them.
Henry Howard
Looks good.
Colton Jenkins
You're selling it on ebay
nobody believes you
your product is tainted

Adam Perez
ty, appreciate it. I guess I'll go 24" IPS 60Hz first and then wait until gpu upgrade or until prices for the 144Hz are down. Got any favorite brand?
Matthew Brown
>Implying You are just jealous you didn't get a 580. Fyi. I have already sold one to someone before my shipment even shipped.
Connor Martinez
Having trouble getting my H81 Pro BTC set up. I can only get video out from the VGA slot when no GPUs are connected. As soon as I connect the GPUs no signal goes to monitor. Have tried HDMI ports on GPUs (Radeon Rx 570s) but no luck. Have googled and watched vids but am stuck. Help?
Brayden Perez
Go read monitor reviews. Every brand has good and bad monitors. Get the one that best suits your needs.
Ethan James
I'm going for the same build. I think it's a really good build value-wise. Trying to lurk around for a RX 580 first.
Lucas Jones
Is the RX 580 even worth using for gaming right now? 1060 is cheaper and better and Vega is right around the corner. Aside from mining, who would even think about purchasing these cards for games?
Ethan Wood
Make sure your 570 is properly inserted and powered. On your monitor itself, change the input signal from VGA to HDMI. Some of the older monitors require manual input and don't automatically detect signals. Report back.
Kevin Wilson
People who hate Nvidia
Austin Cruz
I bought a used 290 2 years ago and it's fine. Miners run cards at stock voltage, stock speed.
Leo Parker
ooc, how much did you manage for it?
I'm considering picking ones out from canada and shipping them to the states at this rate.
Not really, pick up a 580, hawk it and buy a bigger card. Repeat ad nauseum.
Lucas Morris
Are you selling on Ebay? It sucks they take a 10% cut. On a $400+ sale that really eats into your profit margins
Ethan Powell
Around 100 dollar profit.
Jordan Diaz
No. Craiglists. Local reseller forums. I will try sell locally first (i live in a big city) to save on shipping and middlemen taking a cut. I can afford to sell cheaper than Ebay and still make a profit in this manner.
Logan Smith
i can get a 980ti for 250ish bucks, should I go for it? currently have a 480 im looking to sell, with the cryptomining I can easily get 200 for it as of now
Ryder Brooks
Had power button installed wrong. Not sure if that was an issue.
Managed to put HDMI cable on GPU plugged into the 16 x 1 slot and got it working.
Thanks for help user.
Anthony Torres
Ok I might try that. Thanks
Ethan Sanders
No.
Noah Collins
power button polarity doesn't matter, since it's just a momentary switch.
Aaron Long
Is it worth to swap a 1080 for a 1080ti?
James Evans
With Volta in 2018? Nope.
Josiah Carter
why not?
Nicholas Garcia
Has it been viciously overclocked? Is it warranty still valid? Is there any issue with the GPU that is intermittent?
Logan Hernandez
>overclocked no >warranty valid yes >issue with gpu no
Dominic Cooper
Yeah go ahead and buy it then.
Landon Watson
>Is the RX 580 even worth using for gaming right now? 1060 is cheaper and better what? RX580 beats the 1060 6GB 9Gbps on average. Especially in newer games and 1440p.
Some miners are retarded and overclock even though it tends to be much less profitable. But yes, most run at lower than stock voltage.
If warranty is transferable then go for it.
Jack Green
How can I make this cheaper?
Should I go for 1080 with these prices?
Christian White
if monitor is 1080p, 1070 if monitor is 1440p, 1080
Currently looking to buy this cheap IPS: LG 25" LED 25UM58-P IPS, for gaming. It has 75Hz refresh rate, which is good considering the price ($160-170ish). It doesn't have Freesync/G-Sync though. What do you think? GPU will probably be GTX1060 6GB.
Alexander Evans
looks bad 2 cores isn't going to cut it
Adrian Davis
Core is a bust unless all you play is LoL and Hearthstone.
Owen Collins
Read reviews. A monitor can look good on paper but suffer from backlight bleed or other issues (shaky stand, washed out colors due to panels). You will only get this info from first hand usage which is where reviews come in.
Will the no-Freesync/Gsync be a major issue for gaming?
Angel Cook
From all the research I've been doing it seems to run most modern games on high settings at 60fps~ with a decent gpu.
Cooper Lopez
Freesync and kikesync is the mechanical keyboard of monitors. You don't need it, it is not necessary but once you get it, it is really hard to go back to not having it.
Daniel Watson
Because those benchmarks are only running those games. They aren't running chrome in the background. Or discord. Or whatever background software you have. That is the problem.
Hudson Watson
That is a good site. Also check youtube for video reviews so you can see if there are any physical issues you might not like.
Jace Lee
benchmarks mean jack shit unless it's you running the benchmark
