First for finishing

Install gentoo

first for best watch

You chose the wrong picture when you posted friendo

So there are similar offerings from Switzerland around $ 800-1000?

second for best watch

$200, Solar, date, 200m rated, great lume, comes with nice bracelet

...

45mm xd

I'm liking the perpetual calendar, I am not a fan of the GMT though

...

Maybe, maybe not. Might not be as nicely finished or have a dial texture nearly as interesting. Or if it does it could easily be more expensive, might not be $5k tier though.

is that quartz or auto or what?

I'm a big guy

>tfw literally had to order extra links for a 45mm watch

The 8F56 is a quartz movement.

Sell no date subby, use money for personal trainer to be honest

Or have an in-house movement, an original design, some semblance of QC, ...

Depends on what you mean by similar, there are not many current swiss 45mm divers. It would be considered garish to have a swiss that is very similar to that watch. You can get an Omega 40mm for $2000 though, I would say what you are doing is like posting a corvette and then asking what similar offerings are put out by Lamborghini and Ferrari... there are not any really they are on a different level

It might be the equivalent of something like a nice steinheart but it's not the equivalent of a rolly

It's mass produced in a factory and sells for $900; that's about what it is worth

Does seiko even make a daydate perpetual calendar watch?

get it together seiko

>The 8F56 is a quartz movement.
cool i like quartz

I know this will probably trigger watchfags, but I'd like to buy myself a CASIO G-SHOCK 5600

does anyone know where I can buy them for bitcoins? Thanks!

/wt/ likes casio

as far as with bitcoins no i don't know

Hardmode, /wt/:

Recommend me a good looking, current production, automatic Citizen.

Extra hardmode: it has to be good enough that YOU would wear it.

a DW5600 is fine for a digital quartz watch.

Jokes on you.. there are none

They don't make such things anymore user

...

> there are not many current swiss 45mm divers
Wasn't really talking about the size.

>You can get an Omega 40mm for $2000 though
Which one?

Just checked; the seamaster with bezel is around 5k.
And I always heard that even SARBs put Omegas to shame in the finishing dept.

So looking at the quality of the watch, would that Seiko Transocean be about the equivalent of an Omega seamaster?

>it's not the equivalent of a rolly
I said 5x, not 8x

...

>>You can get an Omega 40mm for $2000 though
>Which one?

not the one you want probably

>So looking at the quality of the watch, would that Seiko Transocean be about the equivalent of an Omega seamaster?

no, not even close, not even on the same level

Is a honda accord on the same level as a BMW 7 series? i mean they are both 4 door cars....

The seamaster has a better movement and is finished better than the transocean. The transocean is using a 100 dollar movement. I don't get how they charge 1000 dollars for it.

>And I always heard that even SARBs put Omegas to shame in the finishing dept.
you are getting SARB confused with "Grand Seiko" sarbs start in the 300dollar range

>the only good-looking Citizen is their Grand Seiko-tier model
Come on now.

inb4 wristlet ruins the thread with repressed 45mm envy.

I miss 9fag, he used to draw the trolls ire pretty well, and at least they had watch-related images.

The movement is certianly better, but I wouldn't necessarily assume that the case, dial, hands and bracelet finishing is better. As I've said many times on these threads, the case/dial/hands/bracelet finishing on a $4,000 Acqua Terra are noticeably inferior to my $600 Seiko Brightz.

eh, it's sapphire, it's got a nice case, it's depth rated, it's got a nice bracelet and that's retail new, that's about right

The SKX007 is 200$ and uses a 20$ movement

No, he is getting the SARB confused with the Brightz line or SARX033/035 which literally do have better case/dial/hands/bracelet finishing than most of Omega's range.

There is one autistic guy on here that hates Omega for no reason and constantly shit talks them.Right after shitposting he puts up a picture of either a SARB017 or a Rolex Day Date. He is terminally retarded; don't listen to anything he says.

>the case/dial/hands/bracelet finishing on a $4,000 Acqua Terra are noticeably inferior to my $600 Seiko Brightz.

if you say so

oh god here he is. RUN

>So looking at the quality of the watch, would that Seiko Transocean be about the equivalent of an Omega seamaster?

are you being serious or fucking with us?

Asking if it is better than an Aqua Terra specifically would be a better question.

I always heard Omegas were severely overpriced for the quality and finishing you get.

Was I not misinformed?

You were misinformed.

severely misinformed

perhaps even trolled

You're spot on.
Ignore the Omega shills.

Please understand that there is one guy who spends a lot of time on these threads that has a massive hardon for Omega and gets really mad when people point out how overpriced they are.

I own a Seiko Brightz, a Rolex Datejust, and I've handled quite a few fairly expensive watches in person over the years. Omegas are generally extremely overpriced for the level of finishing you get. If you don't believe me go examine a few up close and personal at an authorized dealer and then compare them to what Tudor sells for similar money and see how big the difference is.

Its this one guy
There are like 5 of us telling you Omega's are better and there is one guy that keeps saying they are shit.. look at the poster count on the thread. This fucking guy will not stop.

>I always heard Omegas were severely overpriced for the quality and finishing you get.

Just the movement for what you think of as an omega seamaster is $800+ dollars

just the naked movement

He calls them "Swatchmega" Or "Etamega" He even has multiple copy pastas and reaction images lined up

>Tudor
How do you even spot quality in something that looks like all the non-metal parts are made from plastic?

Regardless this guys mass produced 45mm mall watch seiko with a $99 movement is not on par with any of those

Also, to be fair note that I only mention dial/case/hands and bracelet finishing and not movement. While I believe Omega's movements are not nearly up to the standards of an in-house Tudor, they are certainly massively better than the movements in any non GS Seiko.

You look at it user....

It's a srs question, I haven't seen one irl.

I haven't handled a Transocean up close, but I own a Seiko SDGM003 and have handled a few Aqua Terra models up close and the case/dial/bracelet finishing on the ATs was a fucking JOKE. It was absolutely pathetic on a $4,000 watch.

Good thing he's talking about well-done $600 sekios instead of $99 mall watches.

I said movement, the movement (guts) of the watch he is talking about is mas produced and $99

An Omega Seamaster movement is $800-$1000

The Pelagos has an excellent functional tool watch design. It's practically a Sinn-esque level of functional design. I like that.

Would you call it "manly"?

Because I get called manly a lot (srs), and need something that fits my manliness. (6'3" built athletic)

That would be a good step then. Try to find really close-up photographs and compare the details.

My bad, you're just plain wrong then. Sorry for humoring you accidentally.

>My bad, you're just plain wrong then. Sorry for humoring you accidentally.

Explain to me what I am wrong about, does the seiko not have a $99 movement or is retail on a new Omega Seamaster movement not 800-1000dollars?

Yes the Omega movement is a lot better and more expensive (though I think $800 is a bit much), but that doesn't excuse the pathetic dial/hands/case/bracelet finishing on the rest of the watch. Not to mention that a bog standard ETA 2892-A2 Chronometer grade would be better in every way than the co-axial movements they use.

Shut the fuck up man go away.

You ruin all these threads... please fuck off

I get it you don't like omega

but if you are talking about the guts of the watch it's just not even remotely on the same level

That part you forgot to repeat, 'on par with.'
You give Omega far too much credit user.

Go look at close up photos of a new Omega Seamaster movement then go look at the movement on that seiko

not even in the same ballpark

Is my SKX007 the same quality as a Rolex Submariner? They are the same size and both tell time so they are about equal right?

Right :^)

>tfw "Your package has arrived at the New York sorting center"

Only a few more days wait to find out how badly scammed I was.

I didn't disagree with you on that. In fact I specifically noted so here and here .

But no matter how much better the movement is than a 6r15, that doesn't excuse the rest of the watch being so cheaply made. The case/dial/hands and bracelet are an absolute joke at the prices Omega charges. I wouldn't even LOOK at one compared to an in-house Tudor at a similar price because the Tudor will have a much better movement and MILES better case/dial/bracelet finishing.

>just get a gw5600 or gwm5610. The dw5600 has only one alarm, no solar, no radio controlled sync and is accepted only by /wt/. Either go solar and radio controlled or go ProTrek. The classic dw is for /wt/ shills

You have a beef with Omega vs. Rolex and Tudor etc...

this has nothing to do with a mass produced seiko being on par with any of these watches when any of these watches have movements worth more than the MSRP of the entire seiko we are talking about

I personally would also rather have a tudor than an omega but that's neither here nor there

>Omegas aren't mass produced

/Mens Jewellery General/

You misunderstand the order in which these things occurred.

I have a beef with Omega because I own a Seiko Brightz and went to go look at some Aqua Terra's at an AD because I liked the blue textured dial one and I was frankly shocked at how poorly made the non-movement parts of the watch were. I am not engaging in hyperbole when I say the case/dial/bracelet finishing on the Seiko Brightz puts the AT to shame. I saw it for myself up close. Note AGAIN I said the case/dial/bracelet, not the movement, where I agree the Omega is on another planet.

Anyway, I've subsequently handled some Tudor's up close and they ALSO have dramatically better case/dial/bracelet finishing than the Omegas but now also have a better movement at a similar pricepoint. I was not aware of this until well after having discovered for myself that Omega finishes a $4,000 Aqua Terra so poorly.

That really looks like a rebranded Seiko

And the 8F series quartz are high accuracy

Not automatic but I tried

>Is my SKX007 the same quality as a Rolex Submariner? They are the same size and both tell time so they are about equal right?

The finishing on the Seiko puts the rolex TO SHAME, and some rolexes even leave off the date when they are feeling lazy. Have you ever seen the faded lume on an older rolex SAD, they call corrosion "patina" and pay more for it SAD

the SKX is the better watch you should treat yourself to one I handled it next to a rolex and the rubber bracelet was far more comfortable and well made than the stupid Rolex metal hair puller.

You don't even have 50 lines of text on the seiko because it does not need to tell you how good it is, too much bragging, SAD

Stop shitting up the thread with your samefagging shitposting.

kek'd heartily user

>on meranom
>Case Material: Brass OR chrome plating OR Titanium nitride coating

well fucking which one is it

And at only ¥10,000,000 it's a steal!

>Does seiko even make a daydate perpetual calendar watch?

I don't think so, never seen one if they do

>And at only ¥10,000,000 it's a steal!
How much is that in bitcoin?

>>Case Material: Brass OR chrome plating OR Titanium nitride coating

You can get Brass;

or chrome plating,

or titanium nitride coating

>Would you call it "manly"?
More manly than most watches, more manly than anything buffed and shiny or with a shitload of dials on it

Manly is wearing whatever you want and literally not giving a fuck

Has anyone actually tried to turn their hundreds of thousand dollars worth of bitcoins into real money and succeed?

Well titanium nitride is a lot of times used as a base coat for gold plating. But a lot of other times it's used INSTEAD of gold plating.

>Has anyone actually tried to turn their hundreds of thousand dollars worth of bitcoins into real money and succeed?

Yes, you take a hit but you can buy gold at a premium and have it shipped to you

You mean a fat fuck. Kill yourself.

>inb4 someone drills the gold they got and the buttcoin market collapses

>You mean a fat fuck. Kill yourself.

Nope, I mean I weigh 260lbs lean and I am 6'5 and work out and have thicccc wrists user

stay mad

I would test every one and do it 5oz at a time

>larping this hard

Today some fatty wearing an MDV-106 slid into the store on a trail of spaghetti asking if we sell nato straps.

Which one of you nerds was it?

I'll post a pic of me trying to fit a long band timex (integrated band) sports watch on my wrist when I get home if you want.

I literally cannot wear a casio f-91w, it's not even close. Full half an inch gap between the straps on my wrist. I bought one and now I can't use it

Wanna see me bench 3plate for reps brah?

Nah you are just a fat ameriburger who thinks he's fit because you can do two pushups and slightly tall. 260 lbs at 6'5 is still disgusting lard ass levels of fat.
