Intel Integrated > GTX 980 for $150

i7 4770 and RX 470 - > i7 6700 and gtx 1080

In 2010 I got a Core2Duo P8600

Nothing since

what's in that fridge? why is the holding the handle and smiling?

???

i5-2310M -> i5-6600K

It's a sex thing, I'll explain it to you when you are older

First time building a desktop. Went from an old Latitude to an i5 4690k/R9 290, then later swapped my ATX mobo and case to a mITX case and mobo. Planning on a 1700+Vega build later this year.

fx8150 ->7700k

iPhone SE to N3DSXL muddfuggah

i3 4150 / 750Ti -> i7 6700k/R9 290X

wont be upgrading GPU as i'm waiting™ for vega to come out, nvidia is currently not an option because of my 1440 144p freesync monitor

She doesn't look legal

i3 3240 & gtx 960 -> i7 6700k & gxt 970

From Yukirin to Yuiyui

E8400/HD4870 -> G4560 + SSD

Fx9590/280x>i5-6600k/gtx1060
Shits so cash

What's it like?

Before that, it was an E8400 & R7 250E

And a8-3820/gtx 560 ti 448> i5 2500/gtx 1050 ti

R9 270x > RX 480 (sold for 342€) > GTX 1070 (auctioned for 365€)

Nehalem 950 -> 4790K -> 7700K
Either getting now kikeripper of firelake x, end of the year.

FX6300 -> i5 7600K
8GB -> 16GB
GPU I sidegraded from r9 390 to rx 480 because I needed a smaller card for the new build.

>gtx670-RX480
>1TB HDD-1TB SSD
>60hz monitor-144hz monitor /w FreeSync

fx8320 -> g4560

Not only is the processor better AND cheaper, but I also get access to DDR4 RAM.

Why bother updated the processor?

Amd sempron 1.8ghz/1gb ddr-400/gt7500 -> intel 2500k 3.7ghz/8gb ddr3-1600/gt440

*BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP*

Some prebuilt acer -> fx 6300 & r9 270x

WD Caviar Black 2tb
to
WD Blue SSD 500GB

Might seem like a downgrade but both drives are were and are being used for games only, and the speed upgrade more than compensates for the downgrade is space

>fx 8320/780> i7 6700k/ 1070

>buying a small case for no reason

Why not keep both?

The 2tb drive was starting to fail on me so it needed replacing. Forgot to mention that.

Reason: aesthetics, and portability for le gaymen lan virgin parties. Who are you to judge if I personally find big cases pointless if you don't need tons of storage, overclocking or internal sound cards. I used to use a fucking Raspberry Pi as a desktop computer, so I really do expect minimal size and noise from my PCs.

i7 4700mq & 870M 3gb -> i7 6700HQ & 1060 3gb

Currently in the process of building a desktop though, and it has a 7700k and a 1080Ti, so theres also that. Just waiting on the SSD and new monitors to come in.

A6-3500 -> i3-6100 & RX 480 4GB

I fucked up. Should've wait longer for R5.

I'm still running my 3570k/7950.

>people actually talking about their nerd computer parts instead of the qt girl
Pathetic.

AMD something --> AMD something Good.

Soon AMD something really Good

ATI 4850 -> AMD R9 290
thinking about saving a little bit of money and getting a 1070
is it true you have to login to some shitty service to update Nvidia drivers?

Don't get thread ripper it will light your motherboard (not mainboard) on fire and set it to flames

Gtx590 > 970

kashiwagi yuki is a scandalous slut.

komiharu is our girl

in about a month i'll have enough saved up to afford the upgrade from my 6350/280x to an R5 1600/580

I just hope the Etherum meme has slacked off enough to keep the cards in stock

Old system:
>Intel Core i3 3220
>6GB DDR3 1333MHz
>2x GTS 250
>240GB worth of 5400RPM HDD's

New system:
pcpartpicker.com/list/ggcWvV
Also got a 4x4TB NAS set up, so storage is bretty gud

>i7 6310QM to R7 1700
>GT 630M to GTX 1080
>No SSD to 500GB 850 Evo
>750GB HDD to 2TB HDD

i7 3610QM*

i thought she graduated

Pentium D 805 -> 2550K

i7 920 -> i5 6600k

I replaced 4GB DDR3 1333 with 16GB DDR3 2133 and an R9 290X with a GTX 1080 at the same time a couple of months ago.

my man

>P4E/5x0 series -> i3-3220
Feels blessed mon.

120gb ssd -> 240gb pcie ssd

i5-4670K and GTX 980ti -> I7 4790K and GTX 1080

A4-4000 to Athlon X4 845
R7 240 to R9 285

Quite recently. I don't think I'll bother upgrading these components for a while. Might buy more storage though.

i5 4670k --> i7 4770 for -$80

*4790

I recently bought an i7 6850k for $170 (USD), so I gave my younger brother my old i5 4460 system

A4-3300 + HD6450

-> FX6300 + GTX560

that's kojiharu

komiharu is the future

You got a Broadwell-E system for $170?

I wish, just the CPU.
This was about a week back, and a store near me had a cpu/mobo/ram combo deal, so I also got an extra discount off because I already had the cpu
paired it with my GTX 980 windforce, and it's running just fine

I thought komi graduated but i guess i'm wrong, i don't really follow akb since my oshi graduated.

Also i thought nyan would would stay on akb forever.

Old rig was a dell with a power supply that didn't have 8 pin connector and it took me like 2 hours just to install the graphics card it did have because I'm really inept in all of life.

So I just got a new pc

i3 3220/8gb 1600mhz DDR3/6850 1GB > i7 6700k/16gb 3200mhz DDR4/1070 8GB

Feels bretty gud.

Winblows10(tm) -> Manjaro

in raw performance increase?
P4 2.26Ghz (a northwood) + 128mb FX 5200 to a C2Q Q9550 + HD 4870

I finally stepped up to 8gb ram on my thinkpad(tm) T520. If it can support 16gb that'll be one of the upgrades in its future. Along with maybe a new CPU if I can crack it that far open. I've heard legend of it having a socketed CPU.
>tfw you can't be bothered to go and build a desktop because of work taking up all your time

390 to a 1080

fx-4100 > i5 4690k
gtx 660 > gtx 1070

i3-530/gt220 2gb -> i5-6400/1060 6gb
on side note ssd upgrade too
feels too much good man

960 gtx 2g -> 1060 gtx 6gb
>when literally the only game I play is WoW
>haven't even spun the fans up on the 1060
>just need some etail therapy desu

Literally kill you are self

Athlon X4 860k & 750 ti - i5 6600k &1060 6gb

From
>Intel Pentium B940 / Intel HD 2000 / 4 GB RAM

To
>R7 1700 / AMD RX 470 / 16 GB
I can feel all the power running through my veins. There's also so much unutilised performance lying around.

delete this

AMD HD7850 2G

to

R9 290X

SSD upgrade a good.

went from a slow as fuck 5400rpm Seagate to an 840 EVO and good lord the boot times.

i7 4790k& R9 290 crossfire --> i7 6800k & GTX 1080

Just got a cheap ass 980Ti to upgrade from HD6870, which has been serving me since 2011.
I was originally thinking of buying RX580, but it's not even available in my country because of miners. Then though of going 1070, but again, because of those mining fucks the price went up.

I'll soon upgrade my 3770k to Ryzen 7. Or I'll wait for zen2.

Just OC your 3770k, Ryzen is a scam.

it is OC'd, but I'm not going to bother with 4 cores. Looking at that 8c/16t Ryzen makes me wet thinking of all that shit I could do with it, including VMs (it has iommu virtualization unlike unlocked Intel crap).
And most importantly, jewjizz in my cpu is enough of a reason to change it to some quality part.

GTX 660 to RX 460

>AKB was 12 years ago

young acchan was a qt back then

who is that nobody?

HDD>SSHD and HDD>SSD

I'd like to move on from my GTX 1050 2G but...it's doing the job just fine...but since I bought my 2k monider some games don't run past 20-30 fps...sure I can still enjoy them at 1080p but...doesn't feel right...waiting next year for new cards or...buy a 1080 and shut the fuck up until 2080 is out...I can save up enough money for this stuff since I have no social life, but...never bought a "big boy" card...will I die? my PC and PSU are ready, but am I? am I ready to go big boy mode? I plan to play at high settings 60 fps, nothing more since ultra is bullshit with no difference in terms of graphics...what makes you ready for a big boy card exactly? I don't want the middle options...

Phenom II x4 945+ hd5770 -> r5 1600 + r9 380 4gb (gpu was upgraded bout a year before cpu)

Rx 480 > GTX 1070
Literally no regrets

All these meme decisions

I love Komiharu's smile.

3570K -> 1700X

Sempron 3000+, 1GB RAM, 120GB HDD, Radeon 9500+

i5 6500, 8GB RAM, 3TB HDD + 250GB SSD, RX 470

A tripfag who is also an idiot. Who could have predicted this?

Q6600@3ghz, r9 270 > i7 4790 (non-k), 980Ti

Went from barely 50% GPU utilization cause of CPU bottleneck to hitting 100% utilization on a fucking OCd 980ti @ 1080p.

Feels good. But gaming doesn't have the same joy to it. Rather be out drinking.

I actually downgraded a few days ago, funnily enough.
R9 270x -> Crossfire'd Radeon HD 5770s

The 270x just broke down, not sure how or why, so I had to dust off the 5770s. Feels 2010 man.

Phenom II X4 and Radeon HD 5450 -> FX 8320 and GTX 760. Most recently swapped out the 8g RAM for 16g that happens to be ECC-enabled. Next build is going to be Ryzen and Vega (probably convert this thing into a file/media server), but I don't know how soon I'll be able to afford it.
