I was gonna buy the 2015 edition macbook pro but meh
I have pretty much unlimited budget but I'd like to keep a good price/quality ratio

Lenovo is one big privacy clusterfuck. It replaces your root certificates. It hides executables in UEFI so after a clean install their crap spyware is automatically restored.
Literally no reason to buy Lenovo ever.
