Can't get a job even with a college diploma and A+
I'm about to get a job without either of those criteria
IT industry is being decimated thanks to cloud computing, plus the world is pretty much all connected already. All the big-gig IT jobs were back in the 90s and early 2000s since they had to initially wire up the entire planet for the first time and the Windows XP debacle of the early 2000s
These days, IT is pretty much all automated, contracted out. Increasingly, there is a need to do programming.
Look up 'Eli the Computer Guy' (not shilling for him or anything but he gives good insight into the IT world), ignore his politics and misc stuff, his tech analysis is real solid.
I've been on Sup Forums 9 years, I remember seeing CS memes back then, people saying they'd be earning as much as someone with an engineering degree, suppose the pajeet invasion was less prevalent back then. Still, glad I didn't waste my time it.
Which job? Helpdesk?
Oh ye I know about Eli, he makes good points.. time to kms my'self
Not all is lost, just learn cloud computing and basic programming (like Python). We're living in exciting times
What is there to learn about cloud computing
Medicine Master Race
Enjoy being redundant in a few years :^)
Serious question here, what do you guys think about Java? I'm starting my IT """"""carrer"""" and i still have some questions about what area to focus. (thankfully here in the third world we still have lots of jobs because everyone my age has 3 kids and is in jail)
>bsc in CS
>Specialised in Network
>2 CNNA's
Best job I can get as starter:
>Second line
>do SAP work
>make six digits (USD) out of college
>have to learn some stuff but no programming
ez-pz
>pic related, telling customers you need access to their systems but then they won't give you access and then they're paying thousands per day for your time but you're not doing anything
Cloud computing is a buzzword, watch Eli's vid for introduction on cloud computing. You need to understand the history behind the IT industry to understand why cloud computing is such a huge deal. For some kid born in the late 90s/early 2000s, he will be lost as he has no context.
Java is also used a lot in IT from my experience, but please do research on your local job market and ask around. All I hear about is Python and Java.
PHP Developer for a startup in town
Nice!
Me too mang.
People who tell us we're going to lose our jobs to robots forget one thing: people. Something like 70% of all people have hard time restarting a fucking computer. 90% use weird and legacy as fuck programs at work. Also, people who have money don't want to call pajeet and Igor for ten times to solve basic as fuck taakse. IT jobs ain't going nowhere.
Please come to Denmark, CS graduates make at least ~100K freedumbux equivalent in their first real job, even if they're total brainlets. Many don't even bother finishing their degree because they can make that kind of money after just three years.
I'm praying every day for this fucking bubble to burst, or for poos and chinks to get even remotely good at making bloated webshit or security nightmare enterpriseshit
Try adding "I'm a proud homosexual" onto it. Some hambeast in HR will see it and demand you to be hired.
Fuck af, we're full.
Why do you want to kill the free money train?
Supply and demand for (abysmal) programming skills are so far from equilibrium that even an average physics grad can make bank as a java or C# codemonkey. I don't want poos coming here to fill the demand but white americans I wouldn't mind
Because tons of people who absolutely should not be working as software developers are doing precisely that, while making ridiculous wages and being venerated by normies as some sort of magician
>study cs
>get through hard math (first 2 semesters)
>get through shitty java class with this shitty professor who says he's not the fucking compiler everytime he ges asked a question
>tfw 4th semester
>specialize into integtated circuits and micro electronics
>tfw never felt so happy and passionate about a scholar activity
>tfw building up micro controllers with logic gates feels like playing with lego as a kid
Transistors are fucking awesome desu
