Even I have to admit that this time they won big. I wonder which of the PC manufacturers will be able to create something comparable. Microsoft tried and failed miserably. Maybe VAIO will create something new???

My late 2013 mac still runs great, but I can't see myself ever getting one again with shit like touch bar added. Sticking to putting money into building desktops and just gonna use this thing when I need a computer on the go. Should last for many more years if I baby it.

Whether or not that is true, Samsung's m.2 SSDs are just as fast, if not faster.
Not by any benchmark or claimed performance I have seen.

you'll never get that performance out of a laptop you retarded newfag.

you faggots love your mechanical keyboards, and you complain over this? Top kek
Charles Ramirez
pretty sure louis got a defective unit, there lad. I have no problems with video output via usb-c straight outta the factory.
the thermal throttling is a meme. it happens just as much as any other laptop
>keyboard is louder I don't find it loud at all. And don't you cream your pants over mechanical keyboards?
Kayden Sullivan
Mechanical keyboards are great for at home.
Laptops are portable. Loud keyboards are annoying for other people. I wouldn't take my mechanical keyboard to a cafe or library and type on it, but I would take my laptop.
Charles Gray
my mechanical keyboard i quieter than that you silly toddler >how do switches work
Joshua Hill
>t. mactoddler
Cameron Sanders
but it's not even COMPARABLE to a mechanical keyboard in terms of loudness. it's really quite average for a laptop keyboard (especially when you compare to other non-membrane ones)
you've never even used one, it's quite obvious. otherwise you wouldn't be using this as a main argument
Brayden Torres
lel it's louder than my old ass x220 and my current x1 carbon

Who is Louis? Does it come with a USB-C to HDMI on the box?

all I'm saying is that they're decent for a laptop, and not a feature that's worth criticizing. you'll find a much shittier keyboard with the mushy keys in the Dell XPS 15, for example.
Sebastian Rogers
I got the new Pro assigned to me as a work laptop, and I'm pretty happy with it. (No, I am not a web dev thankfully.)
The keyboard is fucking weird at first but once you get used to it it's excellent. Every other laptop keyboard has wobbly keys after using it, and the tactile feedback makes you stop caring about the tiny key travel. The trackpad is something you actually can judge from a first impression. They should have waited to remove trackpad buttons until they came up with this. (The extra "deep click" doesn't get activated accidentally, and the pressure is configurable. I disabled it completely because none of my applications use it.)
I'm not particularly happy with the cooling performance, but that's an acceptable compromise to me. All my real computing at work is done on separate boxes in the datacenter anyway.
The touch bar is mostly a meme. You can touch and drag from the volume or brightness icon to adjust them like a slider, which is neat. I don't notice the weird escape "key" as much as I expected to, mostly since I was already in the habit of ctrl-[ in vim.
I miss magsafe, but at the same time I like having power+video in one plug.
Ryder Martin
>b-but some other product is bad too don't criticize my apple do you even read what you post
Adrian Scott
do you want a full-size mechanical keyboard in your laptop? do you know how fucking thick it would have to be?

you go ahead and buy a quality laptop that has implemented this - i'll wait

I said the Macbook Pro has a decent keyboard that I like. how am I being delusional?
but go ahead, name a laptop that has a great keyboard with good specs and isn't some ancient Thinkpad.
Bentley Nguyen
>dual-core no, they're quad-cores in the 2017 lineup
Colton Price
The recent thinkpads? They don't have the same old keyboard but they're universally praised as being the business keyboard of choice in laptops.
Jason Hall
>its bad enough that apple fanboys complain about it and list it as a reason why they returned the laptop an went back to and older model >"it's not that bad! you haven't even used it!" When I see someone with $20,000 worth of Apple products around them say the keyboard is loud and feels like shit I'm more likely to believe them than an Anonymous poster on Sup Forums.
Justin Edwards
>recent thinkpads have great keyboards HAHAH. are you sure he's the delusional one here?
Logan Sanchez
2013 Macbook Pro Retina.
Aiden Sullivan
Yeah exactly. You're the on trying to sell us on one of the worst key travels on the market with a special snowflake layout to boot. No one is surprised at least.
Brody Taylor
it's probably due to how used to he was to the older keyboards. old people don't like any type of change
