>While The Register claims 32TB of data, including unreleased Windows builds, has been leaked, The Verge understands most of the collection has been available for months, or even years. The Register also claims the source code leak is bigger than the Windows 2000 leak from 2004, but The Verge understands this is inaccurate and that the Windows 10 source code leak is relatively minor.
Did anyone learn anything from this?

>For the Task Manager fans out there, we’re happy to share that we’ve heard your feedback and we’ve updated Task Manager to now include GPU info… The Performance tab shows GPU utilization information for each separate GPU component (such as 3D and Video encode/decode), as well as graphics memory usage stats. The Details tab shows you GPU utilization info for each process.

>Ideally, Microsoft won’t just add the ability to monitor the GPU’s activity. While we may not use it often, we’d love to have the option to kill frozen processes running on the GPU in the same way one can kill a frozen desktop application. It’d also be great if Windows users could set application priority when running multiple applications that are capable of using the GPU at the same time. We’re a long way from being able to set per-core or per-cluster affinity levels, but it’d be great to use Handbrake for some GPU-assisted encoding at background priority while still playing a game.

BETTER CONTROL OVER UPDATES AND PRIVACY,
>One of the smaller changes in Windows 10 Creators Update will have a big impact for those wishing to better control updates. You can now pause updates for a week, or configure active hours in Windows 10 for up to 18 hours a day.
>Microsoft is also tweaking its privacy controls in Windows 10 Creators Update. You’ll be prompted to review and configure features like , and relevant ads. It’s part of Microsoft attempts to be more transparent, and a response to some widespread criticism over Windows 10’s privacy controls
So basically they're are atleast trying to giving users the illusion that they actully in control of their system.
Now that you can block them from taking your data like diagnostics, speech recognition and location. Don't be surprised if after an update or restarting you PC the survellience wont begin again.

All hail Microsoft,
For creating Windows which peers into our lives

Teehee don't make me jealous user

>Did anyone learn anything from this?
yes, i learned media sites revolve around click bait in 2017

Come on, you don't have to be. Hackintosh that shit.

Everytime I think of going back to windows as main OS I realize how stupid it is and I get depressed.

hakintosh is for plebs

Been using it for about a year. Can deny.

deny it if you want it is for pure plebs

I was forced to move to Win10 last fall at my job from Win7. The entire office was.

Productivity has plummeted. It's literally impossible to work in a Win10 environment at anywhere near the productivity of WinXP and Win7.

Several people have quit and moved on to different jobs because they are not allowed to use a different OS, even if they brought their own laptops in. I've been searching for a new job, in large part because of the forced Win10 environment, with no training or support from the company. We are all expected to "figure it out" on our own time & expense, and pretty much no IT department to assist (our IT dept is three people trying to keep over 200 computers running plus corporate website and all other infrastructure; I don't even blame them that they have no time to help employees with questions on how to fix all the broken shit on Win10).

Among the most diseased problems, we use virtually no software that requires a Win10 environment. Many people, such as myself, could linux and VM a Win7 or use WINE and still use exactly the software available at the company while never booting a Win10 machine.

I've got to believe that Win10 has cost the corporate world several trillion dollars in lost productivity for a complete abortion of an operating system that does nothing more than shit up machines with an unusable interface. Leading to my runner-up decision to abandon my current employer: the company is operating at massive losses over the past half year, in large part due to the Win10 changeover. It's a complete clusterfuck of an entire workforce that went from 8 hour work days to 3 or 4 hour work days, with the remaining time wasted on the utterly retarded & useless Win10 interface. In addition to hundreds of hours of lost time outside the workplace.

It's insane.

You're wrong though

Whats your occupation? I find it hard to believe that people would run away from the job because of an OS or that the Corporation would continue to use the OS if it has created a noticable decline in performance output.

What sis so terrible about W10 ?

This wtf? I have zero decline in productivity compared to 7 or 8.1 wtf

>Productivity has plummeted.
>retarded & useless Win10 interface
im 95% sure the problem lies inbetween your chair and monitor

Windows 10 at its core is just Windows 7 with a different theme and some adjustments here and there. The control panel is over there instead of being here. The web browser by default is this one instead of that one. But if productivity is so affected by this then I have to wonder what the fuck kind of job were you even doing. Is it because your boss didn't know you had the task view so you could basically watch porn without being bothered and switch between desktops whenever he was around?

Seriously. I've been taking some classes at some place just 2 years ago. Fuckers had Windows 7 with all this bloatware and trash that I couldn't really stand, but I still worked with it. A few months later they upgraded to 10, and yeah sure, there was this one day where Windows 10 decided to update and restart. That's a pain in the butthole, but the rest was fine. When you're beaten with a stick over saving your work every X minutes you don't worry so much about it, it's just annoying. Productivity doesn't plummet. Don't give me that shit you lazy bum.

>Windows 10 Creators Update

Gotta love these creator ants

>windows source leaks

looks like WINE/ReactOS/FreeDOS could benefit :^)

>Productivity has plummeted
What the fuck? It's the same shit as Windows 7 + the store and forced update

>"In an email toThe Verge, Whyman says Microsoft has not forced the site to remove the code and that “we have removed the file under our own decision.”
what a fucking cunt

This. Win10 enabled me to do new shit I couldn't possibly do on my Win7 or working Mac. I've become much more productive after switching.

Windows 10 destroys companies
Windows 10 kills you inside
Windows 10 makes children cry
Windows 10 fucks you in the ass, then slaps your shit if you forget to say "thank you, dear master"

you should just run your entire internet off a whitelist and put faisbook, 8 chums and weddit so you can operate in your little safespace.

are you retar

name one thing you couldnt do on 7

Your mom :(

>all this complaining about Windows
>95% of Sup Forums still uses it
Just goes to show how Linux users are just the SJWs of computing, you guys are the rabid and vocal minority.

>compatibility issues

I guess thats the reason why all of my PCs so far ask for downloading and installing any feature update few months after the official release. No, I didnt select delay, its just not available in normal windows update searching. Aniversary asked to be installed that way nearly 6 months after official release.

At the other hand, Im living in Europe, so maybe MS rolls updates here in different way? Or the fact htat I use Edu on desktop and Pro on laptop change anything?

How retarded do you have to be to not figure out Windows 10? Its basically 7 with a few gimmicks like snapping windows and virtual desktops, and an app store. The biggest issue for productivity is forced updates, which should be irrelevant for enterprise. Kill yourself.

So it's been a while since Windows 10 released, haven't people somewhat fixed it by now by modifying it?

it doesn't matter because it's a beta, so what you get if you want to modify it is a beta with fixed shit, and if you want it to stop being so shit you gotta update it left and right which breaks these modifications anyways.

(you) are lying.

Also my office switched to Linux from windows 10 and the entire business went bankrupt. Never use Linux.

pasta or bait?

they can be pretty hard working, but very limited in creativity

I've seen this happen before. MS doesn't really want corporations to have any more control over the computer than the user, and so they tank the transitions of bad goyim who switched too late. This is done exactly as you said, no training, no IT dept, no bridge from 8 to 10. (yes this is retarded, users are retarded because it ought not be their _JOB_ to learn windows if corporate is calling all the shots.)

What's the alternative to this? BYOD, where business data is in the user's hands and attached to the user's devices and profiles, not some professional IT dept that's actually minding the store. That's the ultimate goal here, force BYOD to gain quick, easy, and in-place access to business data.

That's a troll. Do you know how I know? You haven't provided any concrete examples of "muh lost productivity".

>>Here’s why Microsoft disables third-party antivirus in Windows 10 Creators Update
Windows is moving towards a cloud-based whitelist for allowing executables to run. Thank g-d, now I won't have to fix dumb fuckers' computers when they get AIDS from free porn sites.

Linux users, as in people who are quite satisfied with themselves for using linux on their desktop and eating feces on a daily basis are the true economic sub-class of the internet. Ignore their words; use their software in a pinch; replace it ASAP with something that's a little less dakimakura-scented.

Many antivirsuses hook into windows in an unsafe way, effectively making your operating system less secure than it would have been without them. MS has had to fight these people for years.

virtual desktops

even xp had virtual desktops, just install free 3rd party software

damn, this
there are actually many things you can do with windows, but everytime i want to do them, i remember that it will all break apart after an update

Luckily, 8.1 and 7 don't do that.

3rd party is unreliable crap that might or might not work tomorrow
stuff like virtual desktops has to come ootb and be implemented on system level in order for it to be good ( in case of linux its always a part of DE/window manager )
does 3rd party virtual desktops software have proper taskbar integration? Showing icons only for windows on current desktop? What about multimonitor support? 2 monitors? 5?

>windows is unreliable crap that might or might not work tomorrow

>work as an online/phone
>client ask for help
>"let me see"
>windows just started restarting

>be more transparent :DDDD

i love this kind of corporate jargon. as if letting us see how badly they are trying to fuck us somehow grants them consent to fuck us.

>3rd party is unreliable crap that may or may not work tomorrow
I can choose not to install a broken 3rd party app update. Can you choose not to install a broken Windows update? Or just pray Pajeet can actually do QA?

>Unsafe (for Microsoft) way
There's a reason Windows components occasionally make the news after being detected as malware. Windows is littered with Microsoft-made, baked in malware.

>AV disabled during W10 update because not compatible

It was probably (correctly) detecting Microsoft's updates as malware.
