Why are iPhone apps so big? Aren't they all 64bit now?
Why are iPhone apps so big? Aren't they all 64bit now?
what exactly do you think a program being "64bit" means?
Op neither knows nor cares.
He just needs to attack Apple.
Humor him.
12GB iFoon, JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Phfft! That's nothing! Remember how much bigger 32-bit applications had to be! Twice as big! 64-bit is so much better!
I think we can all agree that it's best that we have come so far. Back in my day, the 16-bit era of home computing, you could only keep about ten documents on a external storage device. In these 64 bit times we can fit thousands of them! Amazing!
>t. storagelet
Real talk, that's their fucking cache and nothing to do with them being 64bit. That's why you can turn on airplane mode, open a Snap Chat and see everything because it's cached, delete your cache, and log back in when you're on network and it will not even know you watched/viewed those snaps.
Why would I attack them? I've been using iPhones since 2009
I'm nor familiar with iPhones but I believe that that number includes cached data. Moreover the architecture of a CPU has nothing to do with the size of a program. A thread died for you to show your immense lack of knowledge about basic software stuff. Delete it immediately and lurk more you piece of shit: you're not welcome here.
You're a fag, OP is a fag and iPhones are for tech illiterate fags who don't care about bloatware
This
I thought the bit being twice as big (32 vs 64) means more of the program fits in a single bit so app sizes would get smaller?
lol

Healthy human eye can't see more than 32bits. That's why 64bit is more efficient, we have two eyes.
>QR code scanner
>iPhone: 40.8MB, offers in-app purchases
>Android: 734KiB, FOSS
>this is the average Sup Forums poster nowadays
LOL
I got a SAMSUNG Galaxy S8+ yesterday and I can say I'm glad I left the Apple ecosystem. Everything is so locked down and lacking in comparison to the S8, and the screen is millions of times better.
The only thing I'll miss is iMessage, but the people who kept pestering me to use it aren't worth my time anyway--they won't message me since I don't have an iPhone. Their loss, though.
holy mother of fuck
are they VM's that include their own OS or chroot or something?
osmand is by a long shot the largest thing on my phone, and that's because it holds complete offline map data for a few countries (and it's still not as big as your facebook thing)
>Tinder
>Facebook
>instagram
>Snapchat
>Messenger
I mean yeah I could bloat my phone too by being a worthless social media slut, don't ever tell me you need that for "work"
This has got to be the most obvious pajeet shill post I've ever seen
TFW SOME ANDROID KEK IS TRYING TROLLING YOU ALL INTO HATING APPLE USERS EVEN MORE
NOBODY CAN BE THIS RETARDED
HAPPY INTERNATIONAL CAPSLOCK DAY
This better be fucking bait.
...
size is worsening on android, my insta goes like 500mb and fb is like 600mb wtf i just clear them with ccleaner.
iOS apps are generally 2 times bigger than Android apps, so I think this size is due it including versions for all iPhones models and cache that you can't clear. Dumb as fuck.
This.
the app size isn't much of an issue, the real problem is ios wasting space which seems to be what is happening on your phone. I freed up 11GB by updating to ios 11 beta the other day, reinstalling your current version of ios should have the same effect, though I'm sure the problem will come back in some time, it's a bit annoying if you don't have 64GB+
>botnet apps are unnecessarily big
no surprise moron
>t. CS grad in CURRENT_YEAR
I'm ashamed to have an iPhone now, you make me sick
At least you can clear that crap on Android. You can't on iOS.
