The new ransomware is the same shit that was earlier with wannacry. The exploit it is using was patched in fucking march.
Also worth noting that with Windows 10 its actually more difficult to NOT have the update so you are probably fine.

No seriously, just make sure to have an external backup of your shit, don't download shady shit, keep your computer updated and use common sense. That's it.
If you have no use for windows-only softwares, then look into moving to another platform such as linux or mac. They are usually harder to infect, on top of the fact that they are less lucrative to target.
