This is getting replaced by a used 970 meme card. Wanted a 570 but prices.
Meant 12GB ram. I can't type today.
What kind of retarded case is that ?
I have the second fastest 6600k on userbenchmark and the chip can give another 200mhz I'm just not doing anything that needs it. My games are hitting 144hz because it's shit like quake as of late.
980ti@1470mhz/[email protected]/ddr4 3600 cl16
You unscrew the fan itself from the heatsink.
Duuur did you even look at it? Kids these days.
Silverstone FT03.
There's nothing retarded about it. It's one of the best cases ever made even by today's standards. But there's not a lot of them since you retards buy too many ATX boards/cases.
Why spend so much on a 980Ti, a 240/280mm radiator, and such fast RAM when you only have 4 threads?
I'd upgrade to a 7700k as soon as one is on a good sale. Their prices will only go up over the years like 4790k did.
I thought you had some cool ass hipster case layout, but no, you're just too retarded to rotate a photo.
If you just have one HDD, why not put it on the floor of the case instead of having the cage block your front fans?
>You unscrew the fan itself from the heatsink.
>Duuur did you even look at it? Kids these days.
who cares for real tho
I dont spend all my time sparing at my cpu cooler
staring*
Nothing I play would benefit from the additional threads at the moment. The 6600k is great. I'll pick up a 7700k in a few years when the price drops.
Also I only paid $330 for the 980ti and it came with the AIO.
CPU's AIO was $100
And fast RAM did pic related for WoW and had a similar effect in other games. The fast ram was awesome.
Bottom is ddr4 2400/stock 6600k. Top right is stock 6600k/ 3600 ram. Top left is OC 6600k/3600 ram.
You need a fucking FAST cpu and fucking FAST ram and a strong GPU to really do 144hz well and this machine does it very very well.
I think more games than you realize benefit from having more than 4 threads.
Benchmarks are done in a sterile environment with tons of services disabled and nothing running in the background. They even disable the network i/o entirely.
This makes the tests consistent, but isn't real-world. In the real world you have idle network usage even in a single player game that is using some CPU.
While it's true that most games only use 4 threads, where's the extra thread(s) for the other shit running on your computer? No where, with a 4 thread CPU.
4c/8t is notably smoother than 4c/4t on average in games from the past few games, not just a handful of them.
Unless you're playing something like CSGO, Quake Live, or WoW which only basically use 2.5-3 threads, then yeah.
I haven't played anything besides Quake Champions, WoW, or D3 in a while. Occasionally when a single player game that grabs my attention comes out I'll play it like DOOM and Nier:A.
Anyway I have absolutely no complaints about the performance of the 6600k. It's never maxed out and I always have discord, spotify, and chrome up while I play games.
I'll pick up a 7700k when I can but the value of the 6600k is really low now. I know the i7 is objectively superior I just don't think it will change my experience at all for the time being.
My 6600k/980ti significantly outperforms my friends brand new r5 1600/gtx 1070 build. By almost 2x in DOOM.
That power supply is so fucking good.
I'm not the person you responded to but I've been using that power supply since 2011 and it has about 30,000 hours on it so far with no problems so far. I'm really fucking happy with it.
I could replace it but there is no reason with the advent of power supply basements in cases I gain nothing from going modular.
I've been using it since 2009. It hasn't had the best airflow since my case is on a carpet. Wonder what it looks like on the inside and if it would be worth it to open it up and give it a proper air dusting/see if anything looks unusual. It should be fine since I never used up more than 550 watts from the fermi days.
...
No more 1080s
Just one 1080ti
bought an HTC vive, these things are cool

VR is a meme

Only idiots buy gimmick technology, sweetie.
my monitor cost more than your shitty screendoor vision glasses.
VR will probably be better in 10 years, but for now, it's dog shit.

man that looks gaudy as shit
>bong
yeah that explains why it looks like that
>he got the EVO
Good lord.
What a misguided build.
>CoolIt AiO
>EVO nvme drive
>GTX 3.5
>Probably a low quality dog shit PSU
>misconfigured pushpull on rad
I will pray for your soul my child.
upgraded my mobo, cpu, and ram about 3 months back. Went for the Evo because it was on sale for $90 at micro center. Purchased the 970 from a friend 7 months ago for $100. Have an EVGA 650W gold rated. I'm not sure whats wrong with my push pull but i would love to know.
>didn't even use the psu shroud's cut out for the gpu wire
>used a 2+6(or 8) gpu wire for a gpu that didnt need it and zip tied the dangly part together instead of using the right wire
>mismatched dusty fans on the intakes
>gpu wire doesn't have a shroud despite the mobo wire having one
>I'm not sure whats wrong with my push pull
Looks like two different fans. Unless it's identical fans spinning at identical speeds, it causes more harm than good.
I guess you can't beat $90 for that drive.
$100 on a used 970? Tell me it at least has Hynix memory modules.
Top tier
Only thing could improve is removing the LED
it does. I thought it was a great price to buy from a normie who doesn't know what overclock means.
also i call bullshit on the push pull "fact" you pulled out of your ass.
...
what hot swap hdd bay is that user?
I got a similar icy dock one but it broke after like 2 swaps.
youtube.com
This is just what I could find in a quick google. There's a shit ton of other research in case you wanna pull some bull shit like "Hurrrr shilltips"
...
>Just one 1080ti
Then take a new picture, retard.
Looks pretty nice.
Idk why people use 2 thin fans in push/pull so much when one thick high SFM fan is quieter and more efficient.
Super agreed t b h
Would also add
>huge ATX board with only a single slot occupied.
>empty optical bays
obviously you need a new case.

sup
mother fuckin HAF XB SON YEEEE. I was going to buy that case for the longest time but got suckered into a sale for a z170/p400 sale combo. Your cooling performance is probably damn close to just running an open bench, no?
Anyway, it looks great user. I wish CM would iterate on that case a bit, it's one of the best models they've ever made.
Offer some kind of window for the top panel, make a microATX version, f ind some clever ways to fit more radiators in there to make it appealing to the watercooling fags.
sexy
Messy af.
i need to close it up but ive got a xp machine again
Sirs! Good sirs!
You're all fucking faggots.
However, that being said, I have come here to remind you that you having highly valuable hardware sitting in your case. Hardware that is much more valuable for it's compute speed than it's gaming ability.
You should free that hardware to the market so that you can replace it with a superior gaming card and maybe even pocket some money!
Cable management with this case and PSU is really frustrating. Tried many times but I just give up and shove it all back in once I can't get the back side panel back on.
I already have a separate mining rig this is one of the cards from it.
I like that you can see inside the disk
Prompts me to get an extra fan in the bottom. Do you use push or pull? Is it for the GPU or general case air flow?
Nice case, but I'd have no where to put it. My tower is sat next to my desk on the window ledge. It gets a bit sunny but at least it's white and reflects it a little
its a western digital cheetah drive w/ 150gb capacity
oops veliciraptor not cheetah
fuck i dunno raptor
ugly but wirks excellent, even in summer
It's negative pressure, all fans are pushing air out of the case. It's mostly to keep dust from settling at the bottom, I have 2 side fans on my case
What's wrong with the EVO nvme drive?
samsung is shit, i have a 250gb sata hdd thats a samsung thats fucking dead yet a western digital that spins at 10k rpm is perfectly fine
>anecdote of a completely different drive
>"SAMSUNG IS SHIT"
Is that really all you have?
ive got ibms maxtors seagates wd's the samsung is the only hdd thats fucking dead
x5660 on the way, this e5649 has been giving me shit with the overclock. Or atleast I hope its the cpu and not the mobo thats dying on me..
Is that a Rampage 3 Gene? Holy fuck I want one, but insanely expensive the last 5 years.
Fucking awsome setup, senpai. I assume the ram is running 2133mhz? Timings?
You should look into a better cpu cooler, those x5675's are total beasts oc wise.
Nice case, Haf 922?
Have it myself, THE best case I've ever tried for aircooling.
What you got running in there?
That the under $2 rig?
Got it unlocked, or atleast overclocked yet? (that cooler tho)

Fan replacement documentation - Pic related sounded like a beehive in an earthquake before.
So from bottom to top: Replacement Aliexpress $2 GPU fan and heatsink- pushpin interspace was right for the ancient card and it nearly fit 100%, couple of fins had to be removed for caps, cools better, and silent! GPU fan previously noisy at an irritating pitch but not the worst.
Replacement $3 Aliexpress 70cm CPU PWM fan - these are the cheapest PWM fans available and they seem OK, don't blow hard, some hiss. Not as cool as before with the big stock fan, its fine. Not as much runup as before.
Replacement exhaust fan - added because I had it, wouldn't buy, there are better ones, unnecessary desu.
Dumpster Coolermaster fan was switched into PSU. Probably most important to noise alleviation although the CPU is also quieter.
Replacing PSU fans was biggest lesson, well worthwhile - no more throwing out PSUs with noisy fans when replacement fan is a couple dollars.
Normally it would be because he spent top dollar for a TLC drive that's got far less endurance in it than the better version. How ever, that guy got his for 90, so that's okay.
The point is, TLC is dirt garbage and shouldn't be purchased, ever.
Also
This guy is a fucking idiot.
>no one ever replies edition
Didn't OC (waiting to get a Scythe Katana IV) and for unlocking I tried the built in feature but didn't notice any change under CPU-Z.
>turn on my computer by manually closing a circuit as my case's buttons are broken.
>all those slots on the right side are not being used
>ssd just laying around, held "straight" by the cables
>don't bother using the case fans
>mobo using up less than 50% of the space
>monitor cable at 5 meters is too long
>two usb extension cables
>cba cleaning up those hairballs
is there a more KINO rig than this?
Say wat
this is mine before I bought a z170 board, case, cooler, new ram, sold my 1060 and bought a 980ti for $80 more
this is the build now
You should just find $50 for a nice case that will actually fit your motherboard. It will be very very nice, turst.
I'm glad I bought the parts I did. Crazy how big of a perf increase going from stock 6600k/oc 1060/ddr4 2133 to 6600k 4.7ghz/980ti 1.5ghz/ddr4 3600 is
picture upside down cus metadata orientation tag wiped

user im consideing trading both my 1080s for a 1080ti, its worth? Also mostly 1440p 144hz
Bought the case on amazon warehouse, acrylic came scratched to shit. Thinking about buying a evolv matx since buying a new acrylic panel costs like $60
>cucklake
...
R8 my baby
FX 6300 & r7 370
I'm personally blown away by it's performance
it can handle 4k incredibly well so I'll assume 1440p will do well also
I have doubts though that it will reach 144hz all the time
Why so many solid states?
I want to cum all over these
>I hate stuff because it's popular
There's nothing wrong with the 960 EVO, and as far as SSD's go since every company and their mom has flooded the market with their own brand, they're one of the better ones.
Smoking is pretty popular too. So is vaping. You gonna start doing those even though they're literally shit?
The 960 Evo is a cash grab. It's a dog shit product. TLC in an NVMe drive is just disgraceful. No one else has done this. Just Samsung because they want cheap manufacturing costs and high profits. They're fast, but not as fast as their superior MLC versions, (which should tell you everything you need to know about the drive).
I wouldn't shit on them so much if they were about 30$ cheaper, but as it stands, nobody should be buying these. The Pro is just so fucking much better. If your'e going to spend that much on an SSD you might as well get a larger SATA ssd.
The 960 Evo is a professional product using non-professional parts.
mah potato
>1070
>potato
More like a large french fries.
1090t is potato
i5-7600k
16gb ddr4
gtx 1060 6gb
2tb raid 0 for storage
2x 250 ssd (1 boot, 1 for games)
You're an idiot
...
Those are the specs for the 960 Pro.
Here you go. Retard.
oh shit nigga is that a Voodoo 5?
why is your cpu fan pointing towards your gpu and not to the outtake fan on your case
there brain is also a potatoe
nice
its gone better at 4K than 2x 1080s?
Also some games i know, i get worse frames due to cpu, 7700K @5ghz, and BF1 is a bitch hitting 130-140fps
