>r5

lol poorfag

>spending 50% more for 5% speed increase

r7 1800x

I'm getting a Zen cpu.. but my old i7 can hold on a couple more years, I'm thinking a 7nm Zen2 Threadripper.

If you're getting R7 get 1700 or 1700X.

Nothing, I have yet to wait for a CPU that performs better than my Sandy Bridge in vidya.

Intel has only clocks going for it at the moment and it won't change any time soon

Zen2 will clock high, and then their only advantage will be gone.

Ryzen R5 1600

AMD, intel will just keep putting out cheap shit until people stop buying them

>gayming
n(eck)ys

Option 1:
Subpar single core performance amd cpu only good for neckbeards. Can't overclock for shit

Option 2:
Only 4 cores cpu, gets hot, great single core performance but you need to delid if you want to overclock

Choose your cancer.

Forgot to mention AMD is good for multithreaded workloads.

anyone got the pepe/wojack picture of this?

>he didnt buy the 6700k when it was $200
looks like youre stuck with ryzen Hassan

The single core gap isn't that big with Intel vs. Ryzen. Only the K-series have any advantage, and it's not even a very big one.
When the fuck did this ever happen?

Please sir to do the needful and buy the 7700K CPU. Please sir to do this right now.

Even Zen performs better than sandy bridge now

>that pic
NOOOOOOOOOOOO MUH SINGLE CORE

WE MUST KEEP THE ISRAEL PLANT OPEN!

DELETE THIS NOW!

What about the 8 cores? Have you ever worked whit tour PC, instead of gayming?

1600 or 1700 non-X.

>190
>150
>21% difference
>gap isn't that big
>only one benchmark

Okay Mohammed,

1700 is the only option my nigge

Well Ryzen is cheaper, faster, and has more cores, so I really have no reason to pick the i7.

If buying new R5 1600 is way better deal. Cheaper cpu and mobo, more cores, etc. i7-7700k only if you actually oc it to at least 4,5GHz and gayim CS:go etc.

If buying used things get interesting. I've seen x99 parts drop in prices at last. X99 mobos go for 80-140€ and the cheapest i7-5480k? has been 220€. Top end z170 mobos can be had for 60-80€ and i7-6700k for 220€ also. On the other hand you gotta be vigilant for warranties etc.

Somebody has that 1400 4,04ghz vs 7700k 4,2ghz comparison?

The Ryzen wipes the floor with the i7 in most tasks, is cheaper, and is not on a dead socket. What the fuck do you think?

...

Wait for coffeelake :^)

kek.

...

ryzen for a good all round pc, 7700k if you need csgo at 400fps @480p

It actually isn't, I can concur with him as a user of low single core performance Intel CPU. There are very few usage cases where that single core performance difference will matter, the only common one I can think of is 144Hz gaming and I don't think it's common at all.

I have less single core performance than either, and for 60Hz or gsync/freesync it's still more than enough.

i7 7700k, then upgrade to a CoffeeLake 6 core in a couple years

Good goy

I currently use Intel in both of my computers but if I were buying a desktop CPU today it would be something Ryzen based as they're close enough in performance now.

Always the Jews

The non X 1600. Price:performance king hands down. 6c12t, stock cooler is enough to OC the 1600 to 3.7ghz if you can keep the voltage under 1.3v.

Where as the 1600X is $50-$60 more and comes with no cooler, so you're looking at an additional $30 for a hyper 212 EVO or equivalent. And the 7700k is pants on head retarded. It's cons far outweigh it's pros and the absolute only thing that the 7700k is good for is high clocks (at the expense of much, MUCH higher heat output and energy use to sustain that 5.0ghz clock). These high single core clocks only help if you're about 120 or 144hz gaming, nothing more.

Don't even get me started on motherboard prices for make the 7700k shine or the mayonnaise TIM or stuttering in games.

for physical removal.

Coffee Lake isn't going to be compatible with existing boards, you dumb shill. It's going to be LGA 1151-v2.

>not on a dead socket
and yet every mobo manufacturer went out of their way to ensure it's a terrible experience for the customer.

likely because they know jewtel makes them a shitton more monies by forcing retards to buy a new mobo for a rebranded CPU

Which ryzen should I buy for muh gayming?

Budget - 1600/1600X
Streaming while gaming - 1700/1700X

>It's going to be LGA 1151-v2.

The original source is a Korean who also leaked details of X299 at the same time and was 100% spot on.

Enjoy buying another new motherboard, goyim.

I will tyvm.

Finally making the leap from a Pentium III to a Core 2 Duo, Pajeet? That should really up your productivity!

>Finally making the leap from a Pentium III to a Core 2 Duo
Funny you should say that, because that's essentially what switching to Ryzen is for amd fans

...

see
It's a sidegrade at best. You aren't going to get the clockspeed and single core advantage you get out of the i7-7700K.

No, you won't be able to crank it up to i7-7700K clockspeeds w/o delid, custom loop and melting a hole in your motherboard.

>or poo in cpu
youll get that on both sides
