Why doesn't windows have any decent music players?
Groove music >full of ads >changes music tags to match what they see fit >mobile app WMP >shitty sorting of albums >hasnt been updated since windows 7 >300x300 album art restriction Foobar2K >looks like a 90s program >nerd ass design not for normal people >freezes if coverart is too big Winamp >dont even get me started iTunes >self installed bloatware >doesnt support FLAC >taxes system resources
Windows users btfo by linux gnome music and deadbeef
>Foobar2K >>looks like a 90s program >>nerd ass design not for normal people >>freezes if coverart is too big
try harder please
Nicholas Stewart
you can't suggest foobar to people because they instantly get turned off by how nerdy it is
Ryan Young
Try musicbee. I use both foobar2k (for analyzing music) and music bee (for listening like a normie).
Jacob Reed
>musicbee that actually looks decent holy moly
Ryan Bennett
I like audacious personally but you sound like a fucking retard normie who would dismiss it for looking like a "90s" program and since you even mentioned groove and itunes you should probably just kill yourself
Kayden Mitchell

Spotify is all one needs. Embrace the Swedish essence.
Jace Hernandez
Winamp has the best XM/MOD decoder and the only player that can play v2m.
Probably i will be the last person on earth to use it

Andrew White
>that one that had good design but got abandoned I got you senpai.
Landon Allen
1. nothing really wrong with foobar. if it wasnt bloat and a botnet. 2. ffmpeg and acme are cross platform; available for osx, linux, bsd, windows 3. itunes is ok 4. gnome music and deadbeef are trash and are bad clones of programs mentioned above
Brayden Thompson
Why not just use RealPlayer?
Ayden Watson
it was a few years back no
Carter Bennett
using anything but cmus Ishiggydiggy
Oliver Martin
>Complains about bloat >Uses FLAC files
Angel Adams
>Realplayer >Why not just use bloatware, user?
Colton Turner
That's what was being implied, yes.
Cameron Adams
aimp is quite comfy

Oliver Allen

Anthony Ortiz
The absolute king of music players used to be Winamp but then jews killed it and now we are left with scraps like musicbee, foobar and other trash
Jaxon Cox

Perhaps you should quit your job as your 'friends' personal tech support.

>>you can't suggest foobar to people
Why can you only use software you can recommend to people? Do you have some kinda mental disorder where you can't use a product without spending your free time advertising that product to your friends?

Kevin Gomez
>not liking the nerd ass design of foobar >being a normal person
>foobar >nerdy >freezes if coverart too big How fucking big do you need the coverart anyways? I could set it to 1000x1000 and it would work. It would be stupid but it would work.
How is it even nerdy? Just download it and fucking use it. Or use something like Columns UI and you can get an easy set-up. If you want it more fine tuned yes you do have to use a few little scripting language but its not hard to look up.
Jackson Lopez
You know you can make foobar look as gay as you want, right?
Gavin Sullivan
I use vlc since it's the only player on Android and windows/lincucks with a good eq
Aaron Morales
>not using zune
wow
Owen Adams
He's not even trolling. I used to use GUI players, now using mpd+ncmpcpp. Foobar2k is ass-backwards as fuck.
It's extraordinarily ugly when default, and customization requires learning what amounts to a DSL for a fucking music player. If I was that autistic about a >>fucking music player
Logan Anderson
Sad to see that. All devs seemed to have lost any interest. I tried to help out with a new backend a while ago but no one wanted to do anything, and in fact some people were directly opposed to having any sort of architecture, complaining their codebase was a mess but rejecting anything other than piling hacks upon hacks.
Can't say I'm surprised it happened, but didn't expect it to happen so soon.
John Wood
If foobar2k is too difficult for you to learn, then maybe computers aren't for you.
It takes 15 minutes from installing to customizing if you have an IQ north of 80.
Connor Butler
It's not difficult, it's absolutely pointless.
There's no acceptable middle ground between an OOTB experience and just writing your own music player reusing the wide ecosystem of open source parts out there.
It's like non-programmers want to pretend they know how to program.
Ryan Wilson
It's not pointless; it gives you a framework to customize your music player to your liking. You just have to give enough of a shit to actually customize the player. If your prime directive is being a lazy sack of shit, then pick another player. If you want a customized music player experience, then you're gonna have to put in a bit of time and effort (oh no!)
Zachary Roberts
I'll try >Foobar2k >The Ayy LMAO on the icon scares the living shit out of me
Cameron Torres
...
Christian James
You are too fussy and picky.
I use Groove and it's fine. No ads. I don't use tags much, you must have a lot of free time.
