ITT: Reveal your true autism level
what do you store on 1.44MB of storage?
The list of reasons to live and how it's incompatible with the most of modern computers.
A whole operating system with a graphical user interface and hours of entertainment in form of MOD and MIDI file music fits on there

I use a 2.88MB drive though.
I like old hardware and software.
have you ever had sex?
GEOS
Sex? What's that?
>back when you actually had to latch a floppy drive closed
those feels, man
The 3.5" diskette should really not be called floppy since it comes in a hard plastic cartridge. Now the 8" or 5.25" ones, those were flexible.
>Sex? What's that?
S E X,
Software EXchange
don't tell me you've never done it
T-that's personal, a-user....
Harddy didn't sound as good
so 3.5" floppy should be called what? semi-hard?
if it's hard, what should we call the hard disk (you know the type sealed with glass or ceramic platters)?
I wish hard drives had similar kind of protection, maybe with jumper settings.
I think on PATA drives you can turn them "read only" by cutting one line in the ribbon cable.
>tfw going through my uncles disk because I had to reinstall very old drivers
>floppy labelled "Porn"
>magazine scans with severe artifacts in 120x200 or something
Hi. I am a false Scotsman
That's shit, even for floppy pr0n standards.
I wouldn't know, I had a CD writer before I could access and save porn.
Wow they 3D printed a save button!!
Futuristic
In all seriousness, do kids really think it's just a icon for the save button? I mean they have to think why it's like that and it's a pretty obvious question/answer and not hard to find out.
He probably save thumbnails from TGP sites. Kek.

I prefer to use sam and ed.

I still use this.
>still
This is a Windows program intended to be used still.
Going out of my way to program something in vb6 while pretending it's 1998 still
Real IBM PCs had full height 5.25" drives though
>hours of entertainment in form of MOD
>hours
MIDI, yes
MOD, no
is this the new /retro/ thread?
Go for it, nobody made a new one anyways.
A boot sector, assembly jpeg decoder and a picture of cat
It too so much longer for PSU's to stop coming with a floppy power cable.
Because those connectors where not only used for floppy drives.
It took fucking ages for motherboards to stop coming with floppy controllers also, even after the media was long dead for normies
Do I win the autism contest?
Back then people communicated with a basic standard form of American English.
Not Meme English. (as in "trolled youz xD rofl rekt").
