Where did this "if you're connected to the internet...

Where did this "if you're connected to the internet, the NSA automatically has access to every file on your computer" meme come from? Are computers magic now?

Google Intel ME.

Any proof NSA has access to it? What about AMD or ARM chipsets? What about a librebooted intel computer?

no proof, just a bunch of virgins fear mongering so you go out and buy AYYYYMD hardware and hate intel along with hating google and every other company that isn't open source trash

AMD has a similar thing. ARM is currently imune and so are older intel chips. The problem is all software has bugs so the NSA can get in if they really wanted to by looking for bugs in your software.

>le milg faec

I fucking hate that bitch
Is she dead yet?

Thats my girlfriend you fucking mong. Enjoy jacking off to your 2dshit

...

citizen four explains it quite well

Intel ME, AMD PSP.

Also nice try NSA employee #12645

It was part of the teaparty libertarianism-isnt-retarded-and-Obama-is-out-to-get-me movement. I'm sure it will melt away now that all the wingnuts moved on to national socialism.

No. And it doesn't. It's not even possible get remote access to ME unless you have a WLAN card with vPro support, which is usually only the case in machines ordered in mass quantity by enterprises.

No it's just a meme.

NSA has actual magic, they can spy on your files without even using the internet.

even then, only if you're port forwarding or assign a non link-local IPv6 address, which is completely retarded either way.
