How do you guys store and organize your techno shit?

How do you guys store and organize your techno shit?

Alphabetically. I use zip ties.

...

Like someone that gave up on life

It's everywhere. I organize it by general direction , pile size and layers of dust.

What do you keep your things in/on? I'm trying to buy some kind of cabinet instead of having my shit scattered around

In a few drawers of unorganized hell

>How do you guys store and organize your techno shit?

Honestly something like ops photo would be nice, I just wish it was flat on one side so I could push it against the wall

>store
There's a giant pile of boxes in my basement.
>organize
The text on the box suggests what might be inside. Sometimes anyway.

Fuck boys, I think I've found it

I have one of those old small white boxes Newegg used to ship stuff like ram in back in the day. It has a closeable lid. Anyway I keep all my screws and small computer parts in there. The rest of my stuff like cables and bigger parts are in one of those 3 drawer plastic storage bins.

>suggests
>have a box labeled "Misc"

i try not to accumulate a lot of stuff, I keep my things in bank deposit bags and pic related type bags, they're 3 bucks at walmart if youre in the US.

I don't. Throw out the sruff tou dont need anymore

>misc computer parts
>misc small parts
>misc smaller parts
>batteries

these are pretty durable but you may want smaller bins

Drawer of caos
Some shoe boxes
and the "tossing" shelf

A simple 15 litre tool box. Fuck static electricity, in fact i just arranged and clean out the tool box few hours ago and realize i got shit load of bits of non-standard pc screws and useless cables such as IDE cables and dozen 3.5mm audio jacks. What do with cables ?

It's really not that big though. Whole thing is like 4 feet tall

Goodwill

Same thought, user. I'm gonna donate it out to either less fortunate Sup Forumsentooman or the salvation army.

This for building, modding and cleaning gear. Also pic related for screws and loose bits and pieces.
Extras for parts (Like PSU cables) go in their respective boxes they came in

A few rubbermaid bins, and a desk worth of drawers for what I'm not currently using. If it use it more than once every three days, it's probably sitting on top of a table of desk.

boxes and boxes of literal shit

On my floor, mostly.

>literal shit
That's gross user.

user, download the Akro-Mils & Metro Shelving catalogs for an idea of how industry organize their poop. All other plastic containers are toys by comparison.

I use these for all my nuts/bolts and electronic connectors. The old metal Akro-mils drawers are best.

Pic related.

I like the idea of built in cabinets, but don't like wood. I opted for a set of 42U server racks (IBM of course) to hold all my larger items mostly out of view. You can find these for scrap price if you haunt gov. auctions long enough. I paid $100 for 10 42U cabinets (and $800 shipping).

They also fit the aforementioned larger 18x24" Akro storage bins onto server rails which act as drawer slides.

pretty much this

Job? How have you accumulated so much shit?

This isn't even half of it - didn't want to clean up the shop (or dox myself) so apologies for the shit pics.

>Job?
I freelance doing random projects: electric vehicles mods, IoT shit, and recently industrial robot poop.

Just knowing where stuff is at is half the battle. It's worthwhile investing in storage early on alongside tools. Else it's easy to be overwhelmed by cluttered workspaces.

test

Wish I found one that clipped the doors. Moving with that thing is a career in itself.

For each techno shit item that I don't have use right now I put eurobucks equal to what purchasing said item would cost into a cookie jar and throw the techno shit away. A clever compression method if I do say so myself

I do this.
