You can run that shit at very high resolutions at incredible framerates with modern GPUs and it will produce mind blowing results every now and then.

Because the motherboard in my oldskool rig (Abit NF7-S) died for the second time despite not being overclocked. I'm starting to think maybe all nforce2 boards are effected by the nvidia bumpgate issue. That and the lack of sse2 support are making me think I might be better off switching to a socket 939 system with a VIA chipset (maybe Abit AV8 motherboard). I have in my possession an Athlon FX-60, 8gb of ECC ram that supposedly works with 939 and 2 of the best AGP graphics cards ever made. With a little luck I should be able to build a really amazing AGP setup.

i installed gta2 on a i7 6700k running windows 7 and its completely unplayable i can go from one side of the map to the other in 2 seconds

check you don't have a low fps cap in your projectm config
even software rendered projectM runs faster than that on my machine, keep in mind milkdrop was designed to run well on early 2000's 3D cards, it's not intensive by any means nowadays

i can play gta 1 fine on a 6700k but it only runs once on win 7 then i have to reinstall it to get it to run again, also had gta 3, vice city, iv, and 5 installed but i kept getting bsods but with windows 10 no bsods at all. fucking intel and microsoft
