Been thinking about upgrading my S6 to an S7 because they are so cheap now.

I still really like my S6, it's fast, has a beautiful screen, looks great and takes great pictures.

Battery life could be better though and I wouldn't mind expendable storage + waterproofing.

Anyone that has made the jump from the s6 to the s7 and was it worth it?

S7 is massively better. S6 was a blunder.

Not a phone but should I go for the Mediapad M3?

pocketnow.com/2017/07/03/oneplus-5-upside-down-audio

Yes, it's good.

What is your filemanager?
Mixplorer user here

huawei nova legit for 200€?

g5 plus is a bit too big and honor 8 shoots shitty fhd

>honor 8 shoots shitty fhd
The video camera on the nova is even shittier. wait for Nova 2, it has a dual camera meme maybe it's better.

Is the Nokia 6 coming anywhere besides China?
Can't find anything about an Australia release...

>memexus 6p battery drains in 3 hours
what do?

Sell it before it bootloops and get a new phone

so how are the new NOKIA 3 5 and 6?

I'm going to buy a Samsung S7 Edge and I'd like to install a custom ROM, unfortunately I know nothing about them and I'd like some information before I do it. Can someone give me a quick rundown? Is it even possible on S7 Edge?

it's on sale in europoop
besides weren't they manufactured in india?

Other side of the planet here mate...
Can neither confirm nor deny this.

nokia.com/en_int/news/releases/2017/07/05/nokia-and-xiaomi-sign-business-cooperation-and-patent-agreements

Found out Prices were announced for 'straya on the 27th last month.

gizmochina.com/2017/07/04/nokia-partners-xiaomi-use-surge-s1-chip-phone/

>The video camera on the nova is even shittier
dude what

Don't buy a Samsung phone if you want to install custom ROMs, they make it really hard to unlock the bootloader and don't provide any source code for their phones

My girlfriend is determined to buy the s8 no matter what and won't be flashing it. Was it the Exynos version sold outside of the US that was more reliable?

>no OIS
it's useless.

Where should I order xiaomi redmi note 4 64gb global?

Pretty sure the Mi band is just a fitness tracker and not an actual smart watch.

What's the best compact phone? No budget, preferably a 5 inch screen and not bigger (or not much bigger) than my current phone, SE Z5 Compact which is 127 x 65 x 8.9 mm (5.0 x 2.56 x 0.35 in)

W-what should I get then?

fair point, i often film with a stand though

>Tfw I was too late
Hopefully it goes under warranty and the company who sold it to me will repair it

Buy from brands that are more supportive of custom ROMs and allow you to officially unlock the bootloader like HTC, LG, Motorola, Oneplus, Xiaomi, Google/Nexus

>The Huawei Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus features a powerful camera setup. The front camera has a 20MP sensor for cool selfie snapshots. It also comes with a self-timer, 2 secnds gesture self-timer, a colour temperature light flash, 3D stereo fusion algorithm, art blur and support for Beauty 4.0. The rear camera setup, as you already know, is a dual-lens setup consisting of a 12MP wide-angle camera and an 8MP telephoto sensor.
>The cameras have a f/1.8 aperture, as well as supports OIS, portrait mode, and lots more. The camera also enhances the picture quality depending on the environment condition under which the camera photo needs to be shot.

The Nova 2 has OIS, but it's too expensive for what it is.

kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-huawei-nova-2

yeah and its only fhd AFAIK

what's the consensus on the zuk z2 pro here?

Probably best specs/$ ratio. don't think you can get a better deal for ~$250.

Not sure about the video camera, looks alright though:

iPhone 7 or Google Pixel. Sony is possibly releasing a compact flagship, XZ1 Compact later in the year.

It shows alerts which is all I would need from a smart watch. Not sure what else they do.
I am more interested in the fitness tracker aspects.

Any info/rumor on Mi Mix 2? I want a bezeless flagship to replace my P8max

If I got a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, the SD card reader will be fast enough for storing music on right?
How much difference would 4GB ram vs 3GB make?
I am currently thinking of getting the 3GB RAM, 16GB storage one. Or should I pay an extra ~$70 for the 4GB 64GB one?

You can get also 32gb one for 135$

What would be better to buy a note 4 from, banggood or the xiaomi aliexpress store?

Where at? When I switch the prices into USD they are still ~$150

Xiaomi online store on aliexpress, Gearbest etc.

Make sure you get the Global version if you need B20 or B4 LTE

m.gsmarena.com/nokia_3-review-1627.php
Nokia 3 sounds pretty crappy. Haven't seen any reviews of the 5 and 6 yet.

I need a chink phone with good camera to post my legs

budget?

I tend to really like the s6, what makes you say the s7 is massively better? Did you even own an s6 and a s7 for that metter?

Nokia 6 is the cheapest phone with flag ship tier camera.

Has the RN3P been pulled from sales or something? It's disappearing from everywhere, can only find a few on ali, and none of them are global.

What is the new meme phone is the RN3P is dead?

post feet.

Posted in another thread:

Help is greatly appreciated

RN3P has been discontinued, Redmi Note 4 Global is the new memephone

What's the best app for determining the health of a phone battery?

Is Samsung gear VR worth it or is it the same as the ones that are half the price?

LTE Bands In Use in Australia

Band 1 = 2100MHz (used by Telstra, Optus, Vodafone refarmed 3G spectrum)
Band 3 = 1800MHz (used by Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, ex 2G spectrum)
Band 5 = 850MHz (used by Vodafone, refarmed 3G spectrum)
Band 7 = 2600MHz (used by Telstra, Optus)
Band 8 = 900MHz (used by Telstra, refarmed 2G spectrum)
Band 28 = 700MHz (used by Telstra, Optus, ex Analogue TV spectrum)
Band 40 = 2300MHz (used by Optus)

Doesn't seem to be used here. Thanks for the heads up though.

You yourself should know when it's worn out.

Does it drain a lot while idle.
Can you barely get 2-3 hors of SoT.
Full brightness kills it.

Normally it will last you about 2 years. 3 if you know how to properly charge it. 20-80%. Small charges every now and then.

Was that in response to the first or second question? Because I cannot see the note 4 under 150 USD on any of those sites.

>go to kimovil
>set the filters for your perfect phone
>"No results. Maybe you've been too strict with filters, try increasing the maximum price or removing filters that you don't need."
>tfw you only wanted a quality small phone and there's only phablets

It hurts.

Redmi Note 4X will work fine then. Just don't get the Mediatek version.

>try the same thing
>get these
I don't know any of these phones.

I owend the s7. The battery was ok. Maps forced me to bring a charger to work everyday. Doesn't happen on the s8 though.

What filters are you using?

i wanted to remove those apps like word power point and excel so i unlocked root. I started to delete everything and deleted google play services without noticing, now i can't use the google store or whatsapp, the only way to talk to my family

Also, i returned it to factory default settings to clean everything, but the internal storage keeps saying that i have 761mb on the "Other" folder, even though i deleted everything on this folder.

Is there anyway to wipe all data of this phone then install a new OS?

You need to reflash the stock ROM. What phone?

SM-G600FY - Galaxy ON7

Samsung Galaxy S8 on sale for $499. Only for Boost Mobile prepaid it seems (unless it can be unlocked somehow?)
bestbuy.com/site/boost-mobile-samsung-galaxy-s8-64gb-prepaid-cell-phone-midnight-black/5808400.p

use Odin to flash the stock firmware

Only picks up Boost/Sprint bands, but is only IMEI whitelisted for use with Boost
Avoid

Install LineageOS how?

Get an iPhone 7 Plus instead. iOS does everything "LineageOS" does, but more.

Redmi Note 4 Global: Shit or the shit?

0/10

Don't get Xiaomi shit. Buy an iPhone 7 Plus 256GB.

pls respond

Currently rocking Xiaomi 4 pro and it's been a blessing from heaven. Absolutely no problems whatsoever.

What carrier do you use?

Should I grab a redmi note 4 now or wait until the note 5 comes out?
I am fine to wait another couple months before getting a new phone.

Also why does the redmi 4 prime seem to cost more than the redmi note 4 everywhere? It is the same specs but smaller screen so shouldn't it be the other way around?

why do you keep fucking spamming this? in what world does the Nokia 6 have a flagship tier camera? read or watch any review, it's your run of the mill camera quality for its price range

HTC One M9 "Prime Camera Edition"

Arguments against?

>Mediatek Helio X10
it's shit

go to your phone's xda page. flash twrp, install lineage port for your phone via twrp.

Should I spend $50 on a new display assembly with a warranty or $20 for a "bricked but screen works just sits at logo" version on eBay and take the DA from there

>water resistant
>removable battery

This alone narrows down the choice a lot. Now if I want it dual sim, with a SD slot, and a 5" max OLED screen, it's over.

Negociate the price down, you should have the bricked phone for less than $20. And maybe you can even fix it, it's hard to actually brick electronics, unless they're shitty electronics.

Get a Galaxy S5 Duos
>waterproof
>removable battery
>dual SIM
>SD slot
>5.1" AMOLED screen

Just pulled the trigger on this guy.
If only the battery were a bit better, it'd be the perfect phone.

Hongkonggoldway on aliexpress

>blackberry post 2010
you done goofed

>fix it
Retard fried the board and killed a bunch of components. I don't know how to microsolder and it sounds difficult.
>should be able to get it for less than $20
Haha. All the other "bad screen" "for parts" models are sitting at the cost of a screen or more. I also thought they would be dirt cheap.

Nobody else interested in the Redmi Note 5?

I want to listen to music on my phone, but I'd rather not pay money for an incomplete service like spotify, if I can get it for free somewhere else.

What would you guys recommend?

Download a modded Spotify apk that allows unlimited plays

Alright, that'll probably work, thanks.

I might get a Moto G4, it's the best I can afford.

I heard updating it to 7.0 just fucks the battery life up. Is it true? Anything else I should know? Would it be just fine to stay in 6.0?

>best he could afford
Considered a Redmi yet?

user, why you would you get a moto g4, when moto g5 is available for the amazon for near enough the same exact price?

>it's the best I can afford
It isn't

S8+ for 700 or OP5 MB for 550?
