Alright Sup Forums I'M FUCKING PISSED
Can't do shit with this PC
>Can't swap cases due to PCI slots at top
>case is too slim for good graphics cards
>CPU is soldered to the motherboard
For those of you wondering, its a Gateway SX2110G
with:
>4GB RAM (I added another 4gb, so its 8gb now, the only damn thing I could do)
>AMD E1-1200 1.4GHZ DUAL CORE PROCESSOR
>AMD RADEON HD 7310 256MB IGPU
>500GB HDD
I have a case replacement but the PCI slots are on the bottom, any ideas on how I could make it work?

Xubuntu

Don't buy rebranded Acer SFF prebuilts if you want to do anything more with them than shitpost.

Low profile GPU?

Don't want to bother buying a new GPU unless I'm going full-on gaming PC

...

Holy shit Sup Forums, op here
I just found two cases in my basement that MIGHT just work

Why would u buy this.

I have one and I just use it for bedside movies and streams etc. Mine has an A8-5500 socketed. You are asking too much if you want to use this in anything serious. The specs are way too low to even do anything.

Well you see

When I was younger and autistic, I asked my parents for a gaming PC one christmas

And I got this...

Hey! I had those speakers. They're shit aren't they?

Good memories might I add
Played through the entirety of Saints Row the Third with a buttery smooth 5fps
And I wasted 100 hours of my life on Skyrim, and over 200 on new vegas, which I am playing right now

Really my concern is makinh fallout new vegas run 30fps 720p, and I have a geforce 9500 gt that would atleast give me some form of performance boost

I bet it still plays Mineycrafta.
They're pretty bad, but they only cost $20 CDN and fit on a small box, so ..

Minecraft win10 runs fine
But actually minecraft java sucks ass on it

...

You should check the PSU to make sure it can handle it.

Yeah yeah video gakes, but we're not talking about video games, we are talking about shit PC

I also have a 500w-ish power supply, it should work

I was in a similar position recently when I was given a 2015 HP Pavilion. The only thing usable from it is likely to be the hard drive and maybe the ram. Aside from that, you might as well start from scratch.
The reason the CPU is soldered to the motherboard is because it's a BGA socket which means that CPU wasn't meant for desktops anyways. Only laptop CPUs use BGA sockets since they aren't meant to be end-user serviceable.

But yea. Save the HDD/SDD and ram, scrap the rest.

Oh... I'm sorry. Are you neet?

Just buy an (((upgrade))) card.

I am planning in getting a "good" setup according to Logical Increments when I get a job, but I need my license for that first, really need to get it especially with college coming next month

Wha- how does that even work

How do you simply download more Gigahertz

>according to Logical Increments
don't do this. Those shills recommend shit based on whoever gives them money. They fucking recommended an i3 7350K, which has 0 reason to exist in the first place.

>especially with college coming next month
What I would suggest in the meantime then is to get a good laptop, perhaps a gaming laptop if you can swing it. The best cheap option at the moment is the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming (7567)

Then I will go with what my brother used to have

A GTX 970 (I forget what the numbers was but quite honestly in this day and age I'll go for something better like the 1050)
And an AMD FX 8 core
Obviously this is one or two years old but I don't see myself playing anything but modded skyrim and fallout, or some random MMO

That should work fine in the meantime then. When the time comes for something new, upgrade to the latest version of Ryzen.
