I can dial in the XMP settings in the DRAM subtimings so that the board will cold-boot at 3200C14.
Have yet to boot into Linux to see what IOMMU is like, but it's pretty exciting.
Apparently, support for Ryzen CPU names is "Minor bug fix"
Fucking finally, will post later today
That's 1.31.730
You're two updates behind, bud. Also look at the update's... date.

Speccy thread?
I think my computer is running a bit hot, but it also never really goes beyond these temperatures.
>1700X
The real temp is 36'C. They still haven't corrected the offset.
>MSI B350
44'c is normal
>RX 480
55c is normal for when the fans are off
>Storage
Seems normal
>The real temp is 36'C. They still haven't corrected the offset.
That's a real relief. I also just checked it with HWiNFO, and you're right. I thought my cooler was underperforming for a moment there.
Holy shit I'm blind
Why would they do this? Can they be ashamed to get on the Ryzen boat so late?
Behold, my very first budget build that I completed a little under a week ago.
I was originally gunning for the 6gb 1060 by the same brand, but the prices shot up due to miners, so I decided to get my plan b card and spend the difference on an SSD.
How'd I do?
>v1.30.730
Very reasonable.
1050 Ti is enough for now, and good value.
I wouldn't even consider building something without an SSD in this day and age.
Any reason you didn't opt for Ryzen?
Is the CPU bottlenecking you in gaymes?
>1050 Ti
>6400
>CPU bottleneck
uwot?
Oops I thought it said 1080ti
>no ryzen on sight
How so, user?
Time to validate my new CPU purchase on Sup Forums!
...
Ayy mah boi!
Rather,
Ayy My Dude
get it?
>Any reason you didn't opt for Ryzen?
I fell for the "AMD is weaker and causes housefires" meme
I've heard some troubling things about AMD's business practices and hardware telemetry recently, but my die has been cast
I completed it under a week ago, but I actually got my cpu several months ago. I took me quite a while to get everything.
I'm poor.
>amd's business practices
meant intel, my bad
>"AMD is weaker and causes housefires"
I'm sorry to say, but the 6400 is weaker, and runs hotter, than the R5 1500X, which is just an overclocked R5 1400.
Would I notice it if I'd gone for 32gb of ram?
The question is, do you notice that you went for 16 instead of 32?
If you don't, then you're good.
Speccy still doesn't read GTX 980 Ti's VRAM, why bother
Oh, hey, a Macbook running Windows.
Nice.
Can't do the 1070 either...
...
>Ryzen
>Windows 7
>.
felt like testing how it runs
just as good as on windows 10 - 3 fps more on tomb raider
I wonder if they did actually update the Win7 kernel for Ryzen.
>Still doesn't show CPU speed in summary
The guys at Piriform Speccy haven't really given a fuck about AMD for a decade now.
They haven't given a fuck about Intel either.
It still doesn't show the CPU speed in summary on either CPU brand.
It only reads the CPU name, and Intel just happen to put the MHz of the different CPU in it's names.
warm components. mmm.
It still can read ddr4 ram?
Nope not very well
shit works fine
...
How do you even get an ssd that hot?
>AMD
>64C
Checks out.
...
>non K i5
You dun goofed.
sits right beside the heatsink lol
>2017
>Forgetting that Intel sells house fires now.
It's actually 44c
20c offset my negro
Go little bugger go.
Someday I'll get 3200MHz stable on this dual rank Hynix shit
What mobo is that? And is it good? I want to make ryzen build but I'm worried about getting a not good mobo.
What's your ambient?
How we doing here? I want to try to get at least 2 more years of 1440p 60fps gaming before an upgrade. This PC is 3 years old (Graphics card 2)
Hope you know that having your ssd above ~40c drastically reduces its lifespan
It's like a AB350 Gaming 3 without the RGB and the reinforced x16 PCI-e slots. Also 2 less DIMM slots.
