one is an anonymous forum for shitposting, the other is a chatroom for gamer teenagers.
If configured appropriately, public imageboards can support connections and participation at higher levels of anonymity than those provided by services such as Discord.

The basic web interface to an imageboard can be a lot more accessible than a "Web 2.0" browser interface or a local Electron app, for reasons such as:
- hardware performance demands,
- software support (e.g., OS, browser),
- interaction with actual accessibility tools for those with disabilities,
etc.

Anyone can access it on just about any device. Don't be a smart ass with me now but are there any devices which can access the web which wouldn't be able to display Sup Forums in some sort of web browser? You can access it via text-only browsers, correct?
I very much enjoy the idea that threads are ephemeral. I've seen people say archival sites ruin this experience, but it's different experiencing it while it's happening compared to viewing/interacting something which is officially gone.
