Nice bait
Is it runs modern software?
>Miles better than any modern PeeSee
Better for what?
Daily reminder that Mac OS X Tiger is the best-looking version of OS X to date
Still works
Still solid
Unbreakable
Show me a 14 year old PeeSee laptop that is not cracked and worn off and I'll PayPal you $3.50
>G4
literally what
Modern software is almost all awful, unless you love advertising, bloat and spyware.
>PayPal you
>>Google it
>using corporate names as verbs
gentoo is modern software
My 1.33 iBook is pretty fucking solid. Wish I could use my 500mhz tibook all day, but I don't feel like shelling out for a 1ghz
It runs Linux very well.
Timeless.
To its credit that design and those bezels today would be perfect but Apple will glue and solder everything together and charge $200 for 6 more gigs of ram. Oh well
I'm at work, so I can't boot up my Sony Vaio running Mint Xfce, or else I would.
Instead, I'll just go ahead and link you an old working laptop.
LMFAO looks like TRASH
go fucking kill yourselves idiots
that looks comfy af
your opinion is TRASH
Why are you moving goalposts? Your qualifications:
>Still works
>Still solid
>Unbreakable
The last point isn't really a point, because not even apple falls into that. I'm sure I could take a cutting torch to literally any apple product and break it.
>tfw you will never have the consistent as fuck look of Tiger, the performance of Snow Leopard, the APFS of Sierra and the comfyness of El Capitan
We should take macOS source code by force.
You seem angry.
Not moving anything. I literally have this laptop in my closet and took it out today to mess with it. It still works and looks great.
I can't say the same for any PeeSee
No.
One of the best processors even made.
Neat. But you didn't mention shit about it needing to look great. Just has to be solid and work.
Fucking lies, all of it. I had one of those things and it was the worst computing experience of my life.
>doesn't work on my machine (TM)
My Powerbook G4 I bought new back in 2002 is still going fine, as is my Powerbook 5300c which I had before that. I recently purchased one of the 17" G4's and it's fucking nice.
Things were so comfy then.
They still use these in print advertisement photography. It's probably the most iconic laptop ever made. I used mine as my daily driver from 2002-2008.
the G4 powerbooks were amazing. the firest few generations of mactel mbpros overheated like crazy and died pretty fast. last truly great apple boxes were all power pc. everything since the transition to intel is just well-marketed garbage. now when i want to get work done on a comfy OS i boot into my ubantu install. when i want to play civilization i boot into win 7. fuck apple.
>I used mine as my daily driver
You turned your Mac into your fucking chauffeur? How do you do that? Please tell.
Huh. That's why I think it looks so generic (as opposed to good).
Good arguments, OP!
Enjoy your bulge
>PeeSee laptop
You do realize PC and laptop are two unrelated terms, right. Right?
Ow wait, I forgot you're an Apple fucboi.
it's like the finns knew ahead of time
There's a 3+ decade long tradition of calling IBM compatible computers and successors PCs but being underage you'd probably not know this.
Ahhhh, summer.
It can run Linux distros that support PowerPC like Debian or Ubuntu but they are dropping support fairly quickly as well.
>he doesn't have a Personal Computer laptop
>Calling out summer
>Shilling Apple
I'm not that user I'm just saying you're kinda retarded. Also PC stands for personal computer so an Applel mac is a PC
>i'm kinda retarded for pointing out to a literal child that PC has its own special definition beyond "personal computer" and is used as a distinction from macs
>you're not retarded for being retarded
time to stop posting kid, also this board desperately needs IDs
I have an iBook G4. It has the most comfortable keyboard I have used. That includes the keyboard on my Thinkpad X60s and my IBM PS/2 Desktop keyboard.
Nice bait, though I really wish Apple stuck with the PowerPC architecture, even if for their lower end models. It' seems like the perfect laptop for shitposting, programming and emulating 4th gen games.
