I swap between the two depending on the task. Paint.net I'll use if i want something quick and simple doing. Any more advanced image manipulation or digital illustration and I'll jump to Gimp

Never used Krita before. What's it good for?

Paint.net has a better display and easier to learn.

Gimp has more, but is harder. And their twitter is full of lols.

Like GIMP but better.

Krita was a direct replacement for all of Gimp, Paint.net, and paint tool SAI for me.
Plus it's free as in freedom.

gimp spends 2 minutes rebuilding fonts or some shit every time

Krita is made for tablets but even if you have one GIMP is better. I tried it once, it was shit.

Paint.NET with pyrochild plugins is good enough for me.

The thought of using gimp (or gnu/Linux for that matter) agai. makes the hairs on my neck stick up.

I prefer GIMP. It's a great way to edit and create digital images.

For my work in the agricultural sector, I often need a quick and easy way to draw green peppers, so photoshop and paint.net are pretty much useless.
